It works with Sorceries too! Swift Glintstone Shard + Comet comes out WAY faster than just Comet alone.
I'm at work so the video won't play :( Are you able to explain it simply if it's not too much effort? thanks :)
Spells generally have a slow wind-up where you see the spell's rune flash, followed by the cast. The wind-up only needs to happen once, so if you cast a spell many times in a row, you can cast them much faster than if you did each individually. To speed up a slow spell, you cast a fast spell, then immediately follow it up with a slow spell that is chain-castable. You'll get the quick wind-up from the fast spell, and the fast chain-cast from the slow spell, thereby greatly speeding up your cast.
This works with any spell that says "This spell can be cast repeatedly".
Cast beastial sling then quick switch to the spell you want to speed cast and cast it quick
I wouldn't call it a trick at all. It's an exploit in what is already a not well balanced PvP game. Casters already have a fantastic advantage over physical dealers.
If chain casting was a thing they wouldn't make Dex increase cast speed or have talismans dedicated to this.
It's an exploit, glitch, whatever you want to call it. Not a trick, not something that should stay anyways.
What are you talking about? Chain casting is a basic casting mechanic. It even tells you in the item description for spells that can be chain-cast.

Cast speed affects the initial cast differently than it does the chain-casting. Clearly they were aware of the consequences of cast speed and chain casting.
Imo certain magic should not be quick castable. The tracking lightning strike has been nothing but a nuisance even if I dodge.
Bad netcode means even one skip i lose health.
Screw quick casting into other stronger spells.
Also there is a quick cast exploit. It is catch flame into magma wyrm.
OP along with many other caster-main pvpers think that it's a tech, something skill based. It's literally just you tricking the game into thinking you are casting the same spell repeatedly, gaining a faster or entirely skipped cast animation for the following spell. Wouldn't bother giving it any more thought, his ilk will continue regardless of community opinion.
