I hope you haven't returned your keyboard yet cause I have this and I absolutely love it. And per key RGB is a thing, but you need both Armory Crate and Aura Creator to do it. I've played with mine and have a real cool pattern setup with some animations.
You seem like the perfect person to ask about this keyboard!!! I just ordered one after months of contemplation and the ONLY question I have is: can I change the color and pattern of the rgb with the keyboard itself, or is the software necessary? I like to have my keyboard and mouse a static pink, and it would be great to be able to change it with designated buttons on the keyboard itself. Thanks!!
but the million dollar question is - does it support onboard RGB profiles saving?
Well, idk, it is 26/7/2024 and the board is still not supported by Aura Creator nor can I update it to latest 7.0.1 firmware (February edition), which is a problem recently reported by many users and unresolved by Asus.
Armoury Crate is a horrible trashy software which a sane person should strive to avoid.

I am trying to change the RGB of the Switch Function Button(ROG logo button at the top right of keyboard), but nothing seems to be working for me. I am using it plugged in and it is constantly flashing purple when charging, and then when fully charged it changed to solid green. But I am not sure how to sync it up with the rest of the RGB on the keyboard. Did you have any ideas of what I can try?
I very briefly tried to change it in the Aura Creator, but was not able to get it ti change with the rest of the keyboard.
I swear it is not hard to configure each key to you own RGB lighting, but unfortunately by the looks of it its really hard in my case as Aura Creator keeps closing by itself after 2-3 seconds of booting Aura Creator.
Have I done something wrong here?

Can you change the case of the keyboard here?
This is the fear. I know it’s a great keyboard, and technically the keys are all individually lit .. but Armoury crate stupidity won’t let you individually assign. Have your tried Aura Creator? From what I see you can do some stuff on there, layering etc and it’s how you assign individual keys
