Just found a way to survive a lot of insta death falls (as long as they aren`t outside of the map atleast, or take much longer than 3 seconds to fall down", just use a cracked tear, drink it and then fall or jump off and perform an action, it doesn`t knock you up if you don`t perform an action.

yeah, possibly, but aren`t that many self damaging things in the game, and not many actions at all you can do midair, the delay of the flask helps a lot.

I can see that i didn`t test it enough before i posted, it does not fully reset the fall height, but i did notice that there are atleast 3 different animations, one seems to be while heavy attacking, which causes you to bounce to one side aswell (unless that was just random), with light attack i did not bounce, and it seems like there is a difference where you will be knocked up, then continue falling, or you will be knocked up, land in the middle of the air, and then continue falling. I dont` know if maybe the latter effect is the one you want for a fall reset, or if you just have to blow up right before landing. But i also saw that if i was gliding down a hill, the flask could save me from death, exact same spot, with flask i survived twice, and without i died twice. Like i said i haven`t done much testing, so there might be better ways to utilize this mechanic aswell.
a person on the speedsouls discord tested some more, and it seems like your character has to have his back facing the ground as you land for your character to not take damage, so if the fall is very long, drink it as you fall off, and if the fall isn`t that long you have to time it right and wait a moment before you drop off i suppose.
If you combine this with the tear that gives you the 1 hit protection, does it negate all damage?
uhm, it will negate the damage from the cracked/ruptured tear i think, but i don`t think it will eliminate an insta death fall, if the fall is too long for the cracked tear to make a difference.
