Merging two mods and need help
I am merging two mods together, specifically Better and New Spirit Ashes 1.10 and 101 Sorceries. When merging them there are a couple of files that are in both,
item.msgbnd.dcx
item.msgbnd.dcx.prev
menu.msgbnd.dcx
menu.msgbnd.dcx.prev
Do I need to merge these somehow or do I just take one or the other? Thanks!
They have their own icons on item.msgbnd.dcxmend.dcx and menu.msgbnd.dcx.
Good news you don't have to actually rename them but you would have to unpack each of those from the 2 mods and get every single icon on item.msgbnd.dcxmend.dcx and menu.msgbnd.dcx from Better and New Spirit Ashes 1.10 and import them back to 101 Sorceries.
Bad news you have to learn how to import icons and so the best way is to go into regulation.bin of Better and New Spirit Ashes 1.10. There you go into EquipParamGoods and you will see each spell or search modified and everythings that's green is modified. Then you look for the IconId and that's it. Look for the icon on both dcx and import them or you can use change the iconid to another equipparamgood colo grey and they will have an icon already so you just copy the icon id.
I know it's a lot but I tried to explain it as easy as I could. I suggest you go and watch scrubmilk tutorial on youtube on how to export and import Icon. You don't have to do the process that he does you just need to know how to extract them and import them.
Thanks! This really helped
