Gigabyte B550i - Dynamix System Temp - no fans found

Help

Hi all,

So I'm only using the CPU header at the moment, once I upgrade the case fans I'll be shifting them from the node's 804 fan controller to the mobo header.

I installed Dynamix System Temp (was pleasantly surprised that perl was already included with unraid) so no need for nerdtools. Did a scan and it loaded the k10temp drivers.

As you can see, it detects pretty much everything regarding temp sensors but

Nothing for fans:

Any idea how to get it working? If it's possible for Gigabyte's B550i of course!

Gigabyte uses mostly ITE for their IO. Read this, different motherboard but steps should be the same: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/85374-gigabyte-x570-aorus-elite-pro-wifi-ultra-tips-tricks/

Scroll down to "Fan Speed Sensors and PWM Controllers:".

The gist is that you need to add acpi_enforce_resources=lax to your boot flags, and add the line modprobe it87 force_id=0x8628 to /boot/config/go. Then reboot.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. It was actually WAY easier than I thought. I just installed the ITE87 driver from "Apps", no reboot or anything. Went to System Temp and it instantly detected the fan header! Didn't even need to change anything in there. Still shows K10 only as drivers.

How can one find out what controller a certain brand uses? Neither of my chinese mobos (Topton and Erying) seem to have detectable fans in Unraid and also no reported CPU temp.
