Acquisition[]
To build the Archwing Launcher, players must first install the Archwing Launcher Segment into the Foundry, which will add the reusable Archwing Launcher blueprint to the Foundry under the "Gear" tab. The Archwing Launcher Segment blueprint can be researched from the Tenno Lab in a Clan Dojo for
15,000. Players can also buy the Archwing Launcher segment directly off the Market for
175.
Usage[]
Archwing Launchers can be equipped in a player's Gear menu, and can be used in Landscapes (Plains of Eidolon, Orb Vallis, and Cambion Drift). When activated, the player will immediately auto-equip their Archwing. Players can use the Archwing launcher even while in mid-air. It has infinite uses.

- Prior to Update 23.10 (2018-10-12), the Archwing Launcher had limited uses, but a blueprint could produce 50 launchers.
- Prior to Update 28.0 (2020-06-11), the blueprint required the player to be Mastery Rank 5 to unlock.

Where is the logic in this. I spent several days researching parts for another archwing, another archgun, spent an hour farming mats for what I know know is the "launcher segment", waited for it all to get built, and then you fucking backhand me with snatching more mats for another 30 minute craft. I'm actually pretty salty with the delivery on this one.
Whoever thought up this chain of unfortunate events deserves to get kicked in the nuts.

They might have changed something. New player here, and I never joined a clan or bought the launcher schematic from the market, but I own it. I think I had it since I first entered an open world location.

When Plains of Eidolon first came out, I avoided it for two reasons: (1) ignorance, and (2) requirements to just have an archwing in the open world was off-putting. So off-putting that I put this game down back in 9th grade high school and finally, in my 4th year of college I came back because of The Hex and got this done, to my annoyance, as open world bounties have become important to reaching endgame (ahem, Helminth and Archon shards).
Why so many barriers to entry, just to fly in open world? It is an absolute miserable experience to bullet jump 600m in a 5 part SP bounty. I am so glad I had this done, but DE, please, use some common sense. You can have the annoying standing cap, discrepancies in bounty rewards (why can I get my very important endo as 4,000 after a 6-minute Zariman bounty, but I only get 400 after doing a 5-part Fortuna or PoE bounty? Early midgame is a MISERABLE experience because of how badly you need endo and until you can reach arbitrations and SP Zariman bounties, you're going to have an awful time if you're purely F2P.
These could be very fun to use as more than just fast travel, but when enemies just have 'delete archwing' moves it really can't be used as anything else. I mean I use Amesha to protect lures between Eidolon phases but I wanna use it in actual combat.
If I really were to get a dream come true and this got a full update:
The autodelete archwing missiles are just gone, if that can't be done then make them a high damage attack that only hits archwings.
Let archwings use melee and you can dismount by reusing the launcher (or holding interact or smth).
I get not the using the listed space mode ranges but they got dropped a little too hard.
Vertical movement should work like dargyns, WASD or stick moves laterally, jump and crouch are up and down relative to the world, boosting makes movement relative to where your looking.
And maybe an additional launcher that works kinda like the nechramech launcher (long cooldown if it's destroyed) and lets them function like space with recharging archguns and archmelee (prob without space ability range though).
OP: another thing to make this stuff more fun and maybe add balance is greater variety of flying enemies; and if were being real hopeful, more vehicles like dargyns for us to use/steal.

Why can you not use the archgun with the archwing launcher? whats the point?
Arch gun is heavy even for Warframe. So it's can be used only in space while gravity is low (you know the rest).
Gravimag in other hands is machine installed into archgun so it can be used on land by ugh idk how, But maybe some anti gravity device or something.
Not sure if that's still relevant to you, but they've added that option after the latest update, I think.
I don't know if its a bug or what but I have not researched the launcher segment in the dojo nor was I invited to anyone else's but I can still see the archwing launcher in the foundry, any idea how ?

I think the archwing launcher itself can be aquired after the quest but you cannot build it in the foundry right away. For that you need the segment which has to be researched or bought for platinum. then when you have the segment installed in the foundry, you can craft the launcher.

when you have no friends either irl or online so you can't get invited to a clan dojo to craft an archwing and everyday when you're doing bounties with random public squadmates you see all of your squadmates using their own archwings or other advanced vehicles to zip to locations for the parts of the bounty but you dont have an archwing so you have to go to the mission location slow as a snail on your jaunty discount k-drive. and on your way there your teammates say you're afk in chat because you're not at the mission location yet. but in actuality, you're not afk. in actuality it's just taking you a couple more minutes to get the mission location on the map than your squadmates, who took a collective twelve seconds to get there, because you don't have a faster vehicle. but later on no one bothers to revive you when you die and just ignores you in general or has conversations in chat without you, all because you can't get to the mission locations fast enough to contribute. so you just leave the squad and walk slowly back to the syndicate main place to save your stuff to your inventory then alt f4 and watch youtube videos on your phone in bed at 8pm on wednesday and continue to have no friends

Bro or they start the bounty objectives before you can get there and almost fail until you get there and clean up the mess. So annoying. That said, I'm gonna just make the launcher segment. (I know this thread is old). Returning after a few years I've been behind on ALOT.
Brotha you can get a skate board in Orb Vallis, that way you can travel fast without having to use an archwing.

Still remember the Archwing launcher is consumable, have few second of delays before the Archwing is usable, and other players can use your launcher. Imagined how often you will get trolled by others.
It was kinda cool dropping them for other players to get around, but making them more accessible was definitely the better idea.

Nah they're easy to get i got 5 per iradite near at the other side of the plains of eidolon at the place with a big drill where there's fire
If you launch the highest tier mission you can get 3-5 iradite per deposit and 5 grokdrul per barrel.

Farming for Iradite at night is the best, because it's glowing. Gronkdul is in the grineer camps, just smash some orange containers. It's really not that grindy, you can farm this in like 10 minutes just wandering around, or find a map with locations some guy on reddit posted and find it faster. Pro tip - Iradite spawns near the lakes and on even ground, mostly. Just wait until you find out about how much oxium you need for dojo research and some crafts, my god...
Archwing launcher not showing in my gear wheel wtf
Did you went to your gear wheel and installed it to their?
1st go to your Arsenal in your Orbiter.
2nd Up top select Gears.
3rd left-click on an empty slot on your Gear Wheel.
4th find Archwing Launcher from the list and left-click on it once.
5th at the bottom right of the screen you will see "Equip" press it.
5th ENJOY!!!!

Would be nice if DE created useful hints for things like this. It is not obvious to newbies that the launcher is infinite. So much wasted time. Shouldn't have to rely on an unofficial Wiki for information like this that should be built into the game.
Useful hints... It literally has an infinite symbol when viewing the Gear Menu.
That's the thing though, other blueprints show infinite but they have limited uses. The blueprint itself is infinite.

I didnt understand why my Launchers were not going down, I have about 782 at this moment..... I now only found about it being infinite guess this happened when they made it where you couldnt let friends use them anymore
Why do we need an entire segment for something we only need to craft once? It makes sense for a consumable you need to keep replenishing, but they updated it to be a one time craft infinite use item (thank the void) and didn't think that mayyybe it's a bit inefficient to have an entire segment for crafting it that only gets used once?
