Don't have permission to edit shared folder in unraid
For some reason I am no longer able to edit the files in my unraid shared folders, it keeps saying I don't have permission. Everything was working fine a few days ago, now whenever I try to add/remove/delete anything in any shared folder it says I do not have permission. I have not changed any settings and have confirmed that all of the folders are set to "secure" and the users are added to the read/write permissions. I have tried removing and re-adding the shared folders; adding a completely new user and using those credentials and switching the permissions to read-only then back to read/write with no success. What's even more frustrating is that I am able to edit the folders just fine on my linux mint desktop, I am only having trouble on windows 10. I'm not sure if this makes a difference, but I am still on the "trial" version with 14 days left.
For Unraid version 6.12.3 use the built-in tool. Tools > New permissions (the icon looks like a folder with a checkmark in it)
Select the shares folders that you want corrected and click start. This solved it for me and no need to install additional apps.
Dropping this in here to help others.
Thank you! This fixed my stupid issue that I have been dealing with since upgrading my computer!

This worked for me too, thanks!
the man, the myth, the legend!
Go to Tools > Docker Safe New Perms and run it. Se if that helps.
Sometimes certain dockers might mess up the file system rights.
Unfortunately that did not work
I suggest you look for "Dynamix File Manager" and install it from the Apps tab. You can then review and set permissions for folders from the unRAID GUI.
How do I access that? I downloaded it, but don't see it anywhere in tools. I see a file manager tab was added in the top right corner of the dashboard, I clicked on that and am taken to a different tab which shows the disk numbers and user numbers. When I select the disk and click on the permission icon it takes me to a different window where I can select folder permissions for owner/group/other. When I apply the read/write permissions it doesn't seem like it does anything and still doesn't solve the issue. Am I missing something?
Another thing, if I change the folder to public instead of secure I can edit it. Its only when its set to secure is when I get the permission error
Map the share in windows using the unraid user credentials
