2 cables with one daisy chain is fine.

What PSU make/model are you using? Three single cables is always preferred if you are able.

Three pcie would be best. Check your PSU site for recommendation

I have a nzxt 7n 650e which requires 1 8 pin and 1 4 pin for cpu...using 2 slotts in my c1200 power supply. merc 310 7900 xtx requires 3 8 pin. so can I use 1 8 pin then the cable that comes with power supply 2 8 pin on 1 cable?

Thanks, I will fit the default Corsair cable (18pin pcie, 1daisy chain pcie) for the moment, I contacted your support team and I will get shorter custom cables built being a SFF build.

What did you end up going with? I’m on the same boat with my 7900xtx. I have a MSI A1000G PCIe5 that came with only two 6+2 pigtailed PCIe cables. I hate the look of having the extra pigtail hanging unconnected. I wish the MSI came with a single 8pin since I only have the option to use 2 PCIe cables on the PCU

2 really is fine, I’ve got custom cables now but only got for aesthetics. Did not see a boost in performance when I hooked the individual cables up. If your annoyed with extra pigtail just use one daisy chain and buy a single pcie cable.

How did this work out? I am in a similar boat but i get odd pixelation when the power draw gets high and understand that could be caused from inadequate power supply. My psu is gigabyte ud1000 gold but it only has the 2 typical gpu slots and i have been running that and believe that is what may be causing my issue. Maybe the 12vhpwr cable mod could fix this?
