They said thag 850 isnt enough as i should take what pc part picker says and multiply by 1.5 getting 1000w kinda pushes my budget i could get the cheaprr rm1000e that uses cheaper capacitors

They're wrong. 850w is enough. I have a 4090 with a 5800x3D on a RM850X and it works perfectly.

Yeah 850w should handle any single gpu setup except maybe a rtx 4090 and a i9 14900k with no power limit

Even 750W is enough. So many people have 4090/7900XTX's with the SF750 in r/sffpc.

I run a 850 with a 7800x3d and a 7900 xtx and haven't had any problems

Me three.

My 7900 xtx will pull 330 watts and the 7800x3d pulls 50-60 total package in gaming. That's 400 watts, plus SSDs, RAM, fans, lights, etc.

I'd bet my system never touches 500w.

Seems fine to me. I have an 850W for a 7600x and a 4080 and never spiked total wattage over 500. Your will probably max out at 600

850 is definitely enough, I got RM1000x regardless. Not planning on psu upgrade this decade.

Anyone who told you that an 850 isnt enough for a 7900xtx and 7800x3d is an idiot.

I ran a 7900xtx and a 5800x3d for months on a 800w psu with no problem.

Dont plan on increasing gpu powerlimit much on an 850w but it should be fine as long as it is a reputable psu.
