Nighthawk RS280S

Just bought a house and looking to get Wi-Fi. I already checked fiber and I had no luck with my address. I saw this on SALE at Costco today and was wondering if anyone had experience with this router and if it would be a good fit for a 1000 mbps Midco plan.

Personally I stay away from anything Netgear, been burned too many times. Every one that I've had has either bricked, or just has continuous issues, this isn't only myself, but my brother has had the same problems with Netgear. They're just a money pit

There's no magic solution. If you provide information about your home, levels, where the router is going, someone can suggest things. Also if you're having any issues with your current router in that space.

I would say that is overkill for gigabit speeds. Also, I am not a fan of Netgear. However if you have used them in the past, go for it. You will still need a modem though. I suggest the S33v2 or SB8200 if you want to save money.

Will this Nighthawk work with my Xfinity modem?
