How is the Black Widow v4 (75 and pro)? I am a little scared off by some of what I heard.
I have never owned a Razer keyboard or really any gaming keyboard except for like a red dragon key board years ago, mostly have custom/enthusiast type keyboards but I like razer and own 6 of their mice and want a flagship decked out rgb keyboard that has chroma and can be used as both a gaming keeb and a daily driver for work to kind of round out the setup for when I want to feel like embracing the gamerness aesthsetic with rgb. So when I heard there is a hotswappable 75 percent keyboard with tactiles (an unusual choice for switches but welcomed for multi purpose) I got interested.
However I heard a lot of things about double clicking etc. I had the same thing happen to me when I got the GMMK pro and used their orange pandas. Had to replace like a half a dozen switches, but maybe it was something I did as it was my first time lubing switches or maybe it was just the combo of those switches and that board because the issue never occurred when I used those switches in a different board or put different switches in the GMMK pro.
So I am curious, is it just the switches that are the problem? Because those can be swapped I guess even though I would like to use them. Or is the issue still prevalent?
Also does anybody have the pro version, I am kind of interested in it because I dont really fuck with full keebs much but I like that it has almost everything you could want, knobs, macro buttons, rgb to the max, could work as a daily driver for sure because of the numpad, but the fact its not swappable with the switches is a pretty big down side. Or is there maybe an older razer keyboard or different model anyone recommends?
EDIT: I am most likely going to hold off on the recent line of black widow keyboards or just the v4 pro but am interested in the v3 full keyboard as alterative and will probably get the v4 75 down the road like a year from now if the issues are addressed and was curious what people thought of the v3?
Edit2: ended up getting a v3 to test the waters. It was 80ish bucks. I’ll probably get the v4 at some point.

What are you talking about? It’s personal? Life or death? I want to know people’s experiences on the keyboard before I spend 200 dollars because I have read a lot of things. Just look at the responses, half of them are people who said the same thing. Am I not supposed to do research before spending money on a product?
You are but literally you already know the concept that switches ANY switch can go bad no matter what.
This goes for the keyboard as well.
You have 30 days on amazon to return. Buy it and if you don't like it return it. Something goes wrong which could happen with ANY keyboard you end up with. NONE of us can predict if the one you buy will be defective or even give you the odds. We do not have that data and never will.
Yall are stressed over a wearable item that has a 30 day return policy. Take a chill pill.
Also google search is your friend try something like razer 75% reddit. That would be a good start as well.
Also just to touch on your 3.5/5 its not an accurate depiction. It would be nice to see how many were sold and then how many reviews. I didn't leave a review and I bought from amazon.
Are you insane? Some switches and keyboards are more prone to issues than others, don’t act like everything is the exact same, that’s false. You maybe can’t predict odds exactly but ratings exist for a reason based on reviews. A product where many people report an issue is way more likely to cause problems than one where almost nobody does.
Secondly, a 30 day return policy, okay great, and if my keyboard starts having issues in day 31 what? It’s 200 dollars mate I wanna do a hit of research before I spend my money. Relax.
Why are you acting like we are freaking out or getting worked up, I am simply asking questions. You seem to be taking this personally and saying some the wackiest shit I have ever seen in response to a very normal post. Go take your meds dude because you are on one right now making up narratives in your head.
Because you are!
I wish you the best of luck then.
