I'm looking for a headset with a good dynamic mic.
I need a good headset or headphone/headset mic combination. I hate dealing with gating/limiting/AI reduction for background noise and i live in a noisy environment with very clicky peripherals. I play a lot of vr so a static mic isn't the ideal solution any more.
My main gaming headphones are old as hell ath-ad700s and i love them. But they are held together with thermo platic and zip ties. and my mic is a Rode NT-usb, which has a lot of latency and it's gated so much it cuts off a lot of my voice.
I was thinking of just upgrading to some 990s or Senns ( i prefer open back for gaming) and running a Shure WH20 headset mic but i can't find anything about people using the mic for gaming or streaming where they weren't pre-recorded.
I'm not looking to spend a small fortune, general purpose headphones take tumbles i'd rather not cry about.
Thoughts?
Not really, most of those are condenser mics and i already have two of those. The mics in the AT BPHS1 and Shure BRH440M are the style i need but i have no clue what the headphones sound like, and they are marketed as broadcast headsets.
Would the Audeze maxwell be better for you?
