4070 super and 7900 xt are the same price in my area, which one would you recommend?
The 4070 Super and the 7900 XT are both at the same price in my area, and I can't make up my mind.
Anyone got some reasons to buy one or the other? So I can make a choice?
Im mainly gonna use it for 1440p gaming.

For those wondering how these are the same price. The 4070s is about €710 the 4070 ti s is about 900 and the 7900xt is about €740.

Definitely a 7900xt it's not even close . A 7900xt is closer to a 4070ti super. Reasons: way faster Way more vram for 1440p Frame gen in every game Cons: not good for work flow and editing, possible a bit worse in ray tracing.
RT performance depends heavily on the game.
The 7900XT in cyberpunk is just a bit better than a 4060Ti in Witcher 3 it's on 4070S level. So the range is pretty big, but the decision should be the XT either way.
Why the heck are those the same price?
Probably comparing the more expensive versions of the 4070 super against the cheaper versions of the 7900XT.
20% in rast is more than most of Nvidia 30 to 40 gen jumps . Also I exceed 12gb vram all the time at 1440p especially in rt. So no the xt is very much the premium card Also it has driver level frame gen
That's not even a choice, obviously 7900xt. The 7800xt is the 4070 super competitor.
Solely for gaming, I think AMD. The performance is better and the extra VRAM could help. Only thing is that Nvidia’s DLSS and RT are generally better than FSR/AMD’s RT.
If you wound up doing any productivity, like video editing, 3D work and the like, get Nvidia and save yourself a world of trouble. CUDA has creative software pretty much cornered. Same goes for machine learning, if you’re into that.
Hands down 7900XT
If RT is a consideration look up comparisons between the two in current games you play and pick whichever gpu wins most of time. If it’s not a consideration, pick the 7900xt.
7900xt hands down.
