Software for voice to text.

I've used Dragon Naturally Speaking in word documents and emails but never in game before. It's probably the best quality voice-to-text software I've used but that's still only about 95% accurate so... One word in twenty is wrong.

I use Voice to text also the only smaller mails.

I know that it’s possible to use in game also or another app.

You might check out https://voiceattack.com/

It's cheap ($10) and has a free trial, but unfortunately dictation is not it's strong suit AFAIK. It's mostly designed for speak command -> execute button press/macro. It does have some support for dictation but it's not something I've delved into much and it was pretty limited last I checked. It's possible it's improved though.

At the very least, it would let you input some pre-programmed phrases of your choice into the chat fairly easily.

Try talonvoice. It's free. https://talonvoice.com/ DNS is not better at controlling games (but might be better at other stuff).

My experience with voice input is that the lag is too big for most games that aren't turn-based, but hopefully, it works better for you (and in fairness my comp is old). Some people are great at it, like this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4BeQyl80eM4&t=76s

That sounds great …… but I’m searching for a way to chat in game

This is not applicable to other games, obviously, but in case you didn't know, No Man's Sky has speech-to-text built in.

I see this post is a year old but question to OP, did you find anything that can do it? I'm also looking for exactly what you mentioned. I really want the software that can type what I speak in chat while playing game. For example an app that runs in background and whenever I press shortcut and start speaking, it should just start typing wherever my cursor is.

try windows button + H. Seems to work just fine for me in space station 14, And I'm also using it to type this to you.
