Ryzen 5 9600x vs 7600x
I'm going to build a sff pc soon and I'm debating getting the Ryzen 5 9600x instead of the 7600x. I know the 9600x runs cooler, but the only problem is that I'm on a tight budget of 1500 and to get the 9600x I would need to change the ek nucleus cr240 to a thermalright frozen edge. would it be worth it get the 9600x?
I wouldn't buy an EK ANYTHING right now. You know the company is going under, right?
I’ll say if you are on a tight budget, just ditch the aio all together. Midrange Ryzen cpu’s dont need watercooling, you’d get good temps running 7600/9600X with most low profile air coolers. Also, you dont need to buy thermal paste. Any cooler you buy should come included with either a tube or pre-applied paste.
non-x 7600
its barelly slower than 9600x, its "colder and less power-hungry" than 7600x (65w vs 105w) and its hellalot cheaper than both 7600x/9600x
This. For a sff pc a 7600 is a no brainer for budget builds.
Free cooler as well as a backup
7600X is better binned than the non x. You can set the ppt to 65W.
This!!
Most coolers will be fine for either cpu I would get the cpu that is the best bang for buck
Get the ryzen 7 7700 on aliexpress for under $200
