Primed Pistol Gambit is the primed version of the
Pistol Gambit mod, which increases the critical chance of secondary weapons.

- Primed Pistol Gambit is additive with similar mods. For example, a

Hydraulic Crosshairs will have a 16% × (1 + 187% + 135%) = 67.52% critical chance. - Cannot be equipped with Creeping Bullseye.
- Unlike most Primed mods, Primed Pistol Gambit offers less critical chance per rank than its normal version, giving only 17% per rank compared to Pistol Gambit's 20%. However, Primed Pistol Gambit has a higher maximum rank along with a lower overall mod cost for similar benefits.
- At the cost of needing more Endo in order to upgrade this mod, Primed Pistol Gambit boasts a better critical chance to drain ratio.
- For example, at base rank, Pistol Gambit supplies 20% critical chance for 4 drain while Primed Pistol Gambit at rank 2 grants 51% critical chance at the same 4 drain.
- Had Primed Pistol Gambit followed Pistol Gambit's format, it would have had 220% critical chance at the cost of 14 drain.
- At the cost of needing more Endo in order to upgrade this mod, Primed Pistol Gambit boasts a better critical chance to drain ratio.

- Can be combined with Hydraulic Crosshairs for a total increase of +322% after getting a shot to an enemy's head. This allows the

An in-depth analysis why creeping bullseye is better because I'm bored right now.
At max rank it boils down to 13% lack of critical chance, increased polarity drain, and a fire rate increase over creeping bullseye. Aside from very specific secondary-only sorties, where you refuse to swap secondaries following a failed first attempt, the only way to justify this is if you are running multiple builds on a heavily forma-ed secondary and you can't sacrifice a madurai slot for a naramon polarity.
There is currently no content requiring that level of dedication to secondaries. This mod is outdated due to creeping bullseye changes and there is no justification for it not to be buffed to compensate for the investment required to obtain it.
More dmg over fire rate is an obvious choice. Overall dps on creep is higher because you also need to reload more often with higher fire rate. Typical DE move to shit on their older and rarer content. warframe is a terrible waste of time
Please never help any player if you think PPG > CB. You're simply just a slave to primed mods.
As said before, Primed Pistol Gambit pretty much always has more raw dps. Crit consistency isn't that important on pistols as there is no Hunter Munitions.
Of course, there are weapons that don't care about fire rate, weapons that you actively want to shoot slower to be more ammo efficient and weapons so close to getting to 100% crit that you just want the extra crit chance just because.
There is also the buffed crit headshot multiplier, but looking how most people play, apparently people barely go for headshots anyway...
However, there are also really good critical chance buffs, and any critical chance buff worth your time will just make absolutely miniscule critical chance advantage that Creeping Bullseye has even more irrelevant.
I only use Creeping Bullseye on a handful of weapons. You don't really need to bother to minmax weapons by using the better crit chance mod though.
For general usage PPG is superior to CB. Period. There is only very few fringe cases where CB can be subjectively better (using a frame/riven boosting the firerate making the penalty negligible or a weapon with absurdly high base firerate for example for better ammo economy).
CB is -20% raw DPS (you shoot 4 bullets when you should shoot 5)

CB gives only 17% more crit chance than PPG.
Even considering the highest base crit chance among all secondaries (48% base crit chance on Epitaph charged shot) that represents only a 6% crit chance difference between both mods (you get 144% instead of 137%). And this is the most optimist option. Every weapon with a lower base crit chance has an even worse ratio. Making CB an even worse choice.
Sacrificing 20% DPS for less than 6% crit chance is objectively baffling. There is never a reason where shooting less bullets for 6% more chances of landing a crit is worth it. Either your weapon has good base crit chance and PPG is enough. Or your weapon has terrible base crit chance and you shouldn't build additive crit chance in the first place (and CB wouldn't make a difference anyway).
And in the trashcan it goes.
