Is black desert dead in 2024
Genuinely wondering and not trying to hate on the game, but is black desert dead in 2024?
I started playing the game again recently and it felt like all of the life that was there in the last few years is just completely gone, and even the pvp feels somewhat stale with the current playerbase.
Is there anything a returning or new player can do to liven up the grind and world?
Is there any hope of the player base get a spike again with no upcoming expansions or content releases that are worthwhile?

The pvp is a shadow of what it once was.
The game has improved in a lot of ways to appeal more to casual players. Lots of quality of life changes, easier progress and lots of catch up.
Pve is thriving but Pvp is just slowly beeing removed out of the game it feels like.
Its not like there is none but gl meeting people that actually want to fight you and wont call you a griefer for killing them on arsha.
I feel like PvP is being removed slowly out of all Korean MMORPGs. Mainly because they just cannot balance the thing properly (players with time vs not, players with cash vs not, dmg scaling etc.).
how is someone called a griefer in a exclusively pvp server? theres only few pvp servers, why would it be grief getting pkd there? isnt that the whole point? lmao
The only reason it’s considered griefing on arsha is because a pve geared and buffed player is getting ganked by a pvp geared and buffed player. And then switching to pvp gear takes about 30 seconds to fully do, and it can’t even be done while dead. It’s a pretty shit system that needs to change, then suddenly pvp will feel fair and fun.
The players are there. They are just all mindlessly slaying the helpless mobs in circles in instanced Marni realm
Games pretty dead if u enjoy anything outside of running in circles all day

It’s the only game I’ve played for the last 4 months, so not really imo. A lot of friends came back to it last season and continued to play.
Bdo is in good shape except for pvp . Since pvp is played by a big minority of people , it s not an issue
This is a sandbox I have like 15k hours and have never done any form of pvp. I also have never grinded anything above like gahaz lol....
