Can higher level players " power level" new players?
Trying to get my friend to join, am I able to help him level, by taking him to higher lvl areas? Or does the game limit that via xp weapon skills etc?
You can run lower levels through dungeons pretty easily, and that’s worth a good chunk of xp. Weapon skill is hard to level in a group setting unless you’re working on level appropriate content.
Honestly my company of 15+ get in groups of 5 and we run a shit ton of corruption. We put all the lower level (below 20) players on the periphery and then we higher level players kill everything. Their job is to land shots (not aggro) and heal us when we are downed. Has power leveled most of my people to 30 over the course of a solid day.
Based on my "messing around" I was able to determine that if you are within 250m my friend with 15 levels on me (I had literally just started playing) was going around Windsward killing things while i was IN TOWN and I was getting xp for all of it. While outside of town, when in the same area there didnt appear to be a limit at all to distance. The 250m also works when in adjacent landmarks/wilderness zones. There was a point I was logging and he was just killin wolves and I was getting 9xp here another 6 there and so forth. Xp counted toward the weapon I had equipped, which at the time was an Ice Gauntlet.
I’ve been power leveling by following groups doing 45+ corruption altho tbf I am a healer so I only need one or two hits in and then heal to get the xp I’m getting between 600-900 xp
