Question

So im an xbox player my only experience on the game is the beta. Im usually one to do different builds and multiple characters on these sort of games but im seeing a lot say there is no point having more than 1. Are different builds not a thing?

Thanks for this ive been confused about all this since the beta lol. So there is really no reason at all to have multiple characters? Kind of an odd one as this means players would spend less time playing than they would if they had multiple characters. But i suppose its just not that kind of game.

Its not that you can't have alts with different builds its just that... you can do that all on one character. So the play time to play an alternate build is still there. You just essentially skip the leveling and share all items :P

Alts are generally only used for three reasons. One is as a bank due there being a gold cap. The cap is 1 million but it used to be 500k and some items used to sell for over 1 million (like a bis bruiser Great Axe). Second is to play on multiple servers. Third is the same as two but more specific - warlogging. You did the bare minimum of PvE to allow your character to have what it needs to do wars. You then only log into that account/character for wars.

I only got one level 65 character and almost 2500 hours in this game, how much more do you want me to play? :D

There is lots to do, even with just one character.
