Playing BDO disabled

Technical

So, been at BDO for a couple of months and about awaken my Warrior, I'm disabled and play one handed via 360 controller. I buffed my DP to 302 to help compensate for my slow attacks do to physical limitations. Any recommendations on ways to increase tank efficiency so I can last longer in mobs without dying as frequently? Thanks in advance!

I dont know if it allowed, if support say it is, i can make and upload a VoiceAttack profile(manage pc with voice). One action per command, no multitask in one output and all the rules they want to make it possible.

While I have no tips for you, I wanna say, as a fellow disabled gamer I am so fucking proud of you. I've learned to use a controller in my off hand and a mouse for my aim/maneuvers.

Something I've used as well is a set of racing pedals, which gives my feet the ability to activate other buttons. This could add more function to your situation and possibly increase your attack speed.

Can you use your feet? If so there might be some great pedals or pads to bind your movement onto.

I would suggest getting a gaming mouse that has a ton of buttons and some sort of foot/pedal board. The combination of the two should make you a lot more efficient in combat.

Also, your DP is quite impressive. I think the biggest thing that will improve your survivability is simply to level up. You'll get higher accuracy so you'll hit more often and therefore kill more often. Your base evasion will also go up so it'll be harder to hit you.

Edit: Also, look into software like Voice Attack. This will allow you to map voice commands to do certain things (like hit key combinations for you). I bought this software for playing simulator games with my HTC Vive (specifically Elite: Dangerous). I'm not sure how well it would work in BDO, but it might actually be decent for at least using interface functions (opening menus and whatnot), activating buffs, eating food you've placed on toolbars, etc... I might actually try using it tomorrow night if I remember.

You can have the software respond to any voice command you record for it. Thinking about it now, it should would be really fun to play this game with VoiceAttack if it actually works. Especially since you can have the program playback audio when you give it commands, giving it the impression of having low-level AI if you get deep enough into the macro functions.

Edit: I actually just tested out Voice Attack with BDO. As long as you launch BDO and VoiceAttack in Admin mode, and ensure that each command is sent to the BDO window, it works like a charm. I've set up commands for some basic functions (Inventory, map, etc...) and for a handful of my buffs, potions, and abilities that go on cooldown for combat. It's fairly powerful in its capabilities, but there are some things it doesn't do well (or at least won't do well without some troubleshooting and experimenting) simply due to lag in the game.

I used to play Eve with a guy who was quadriplegic. Always wondered how he was so good. Turns out, they make awesome stuff for disabled gamers. He had a standard speech to text setup, but instead of a mouse, he used a pointer that attached to his nose and the mouse cursor followed it.

I've seen a few complex controllers for one handed people, so I'd probably look up a few and check them out. I used to use a one handed PS3 controller (looked more like a keyboard) when I was temporarily paralyzed on my left side.

There's all kinds of tech out there to help

Dude that's sick, you have more DP than me. Once you get the awakening you're going to have a wayyy easier time, blocking with the sword gives a good DP+AP buff, and you have one attack (default binding is Down + LMB, sorry can't help with your bindings) has frontal block and restores quite a bit of health (50HP per hit), and at lvl 57 you unlock a flow skill that starts from that and restores even more (+100HP per hit).

Apart from that, skill add-ons with +DP buffs or +HP per hit might help, even if usually they're pretty minor.

I don't know how doable buffs are for you but:

Without knowing more about your gear the best I can do is link you this. A spreadsheet of all the items in the game with evasion or damage reduction and their relation to dp. I'm not sure whether you would want to go more for evasion or DR. Evasion should end up with you taking less damage in the long run, but the downside is having unpredictable bursts of damage.

Play wizard

You want to focus on stack evasion, DP = Dmg Reduction + evasion.

most evasion combo is:

Rocaba Helm + Gloves

Boss chest + muskan

Sicil/bensho neck

centaur belt

manos earrings

rings don't have evasion, just dmg reduction

for more info, see this link

also, stack as much resistance as possible. if you can stack eva and resistance and still be at 300+ dp, most mobs will only tickle you, hell, most players will only tickle you. though you will only have 120-140 ap.

Don't worry, most of BDO's community is disabled.
