Acquisition[]
Vacuum does not drop from any enemy, and is not obtainable from any mission. Instead, you will be given one copy every time you claim a Sentinel from your Foundry.
Notes[]
- Vacuum will still function while the Companion is Incapacitated.
- If affected by Confusion from
Radiation, Vacuum will be disabled until the effect runs out. - Vacuum will still pull the loot if you are in the Rift Plane, however, you will not be able to collect these items until you are no longer in the Rift Plane or you bring them in by entering Cataclysm.
- The following items cannot be attracted by Vacuum, despite not requiring to be picked up manually, but can still be attracted by Cosmic Crush:
- Cetus Wisps
- Sentient Cores
- Eidolon Shards
- Profit-Taker Orb's drops
- Exploiter Orb's drops
Trivia[]
- In Update: The Vacuum Within (2016-10-05), Vacuum was removed from Carrier and was replaced with
Ammo Case, while the vacuum effect was applied to all Sentinels. In Hotfix: The Vacuum Within 2 (2016-10-06), Vacuum was returned to Mod form as an optional precept for all Sentinels. - Prior to Hotfix 24.0.2 (2018-11-09), the mod allowed Sentinels to collect pickups instead of increasing the player's pickup radius. In other words, pickups used to go towards the Sentinel instead of the player.

Patch History[]
Update 37.0 (2024-10-02)
- Changes to Companion Precepts
Many Companion Precept effects are currently too small or too brief to be really beneficial. We want your choice of companion to feel more meaningful and for your Companion to contribute in a more visible way, so there are a whole lot of buffs to get through.
- Vacuum (Robotic Companions):
- Increased range from 11.5m to 13.5m to match Fetch.
Hotfix 32.1.2 (2022-11-04)
- Intact Sentient Cores can now be picked up by Vacuum!
- A QOL bump due to the amount of UI noise experienced in Archon Hunt missions (specifically Defense).
Hotfix 32.1.1 (2022-11-03)
- Fixes towards ammo pickups getting infinitely stuck to you after summoning a Specter while the Vacuum Mod is equipped. As reported here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Warframe/comments/yk9xlv/loot_lag_wouldnt_let_me_finish_the_mobile_defense/
- Fixed script error that could occur if the Vacuum Mod instantly picked up a bundle of Credits before it could finish disgorging from the crate you smashed.
Hotfix 24.0.2 (2018-11-09)
- Vacuum/Fetch Changes
- Both Vacuum and Fetch Mods now pull the items directly to the Warframe as opposed to the Sentinel/Pet. Pets in Warframe don’t mimic the same ‘follow’ logic like Sentinels, so they would end up running around with items instead of giving them to you. So basically very bad at fetching....
Update 22.14 (2018-03-01)
- Vacuum now collects Atlas' rubble.
Hotfix 22.10.1 (2018-01-26)
- Fixed Vacuum not working consistently for clients.
Update 22.4 (2017-11-23)
- Fixed being able to Vacuum up the Sky Archwing Enablers in the Plains of Eidolon.
Update 21.5 (2016-08-16)

- Fixed not receiving the Vacuum Mod upon crafting Taxon.
Update 19.8 (2017-01-25)
- Fixed pick-ups sometimes falling through the ground after being moved by Vacuum.
- Fixed Host being able to Vacuum around items on Clients' screens and having items be stuck in the air where the Host last Vacuumed them to.
Hotfix: The Vacuum Within 2 (2016-10-06)
- Vacuum is now an equippable Mod (Precept) for all Sentinels, range increased to 12m at max rank.
Update: The Vacuum Within (2016-10-05)

Update 17.0 (2015-07-31)
- Vacuum will no longer pick up items while the player is bleeding out.
Hotfix 16.6.1 (2015-05-28)

Look, everyone wants Universal Vacuum-- but let's be real here.
What we really want is some baseline QoL essentials being separated from companions.
Which is... in a way, not EXACTLY the right decision.
Because if you remove the functionality of QoL mods from them, DE has to start finding something else to ensure that they're not just auto-attack sentries.
Be it by shoving something else useful in there to force you from making it too powerful or nerfing the hell out of them to the point where you may as well unequip them just to save the hassle.
On the other hand, having a lot of your QoL functions like a minimap being usable, loot pickups being dragged to you and possibly more... yeah, no. Don't tie that to a health bar.
At the very least, don't tie it to a health bar that is extremely squishy and/or can die very quickly by just running off in [direction] at any given time.
Link Armor/Health/Shields only goes so far for the purpose of survivability. After a while, stat-creep will just takeover and your little buddy there is being made into spare parts/swiss cheese.
The reason I use Sentinels personally is because I hate having my pets run around doing "things".
I could not tell you if my Panzer Vulp is doing it's job because rarely do I even see it to begin with.
Whereas my Dethcube is constantly within a visible line of sight. It's always next to me. As long as I'm on the move, it will move with me.
Contrary to popular belief, Sentinels are not very prone to aggro. The player however, is.
If you are moving, the enemy will most likely be aiming at you-- not your sentinel. This give it some leeway.
Still, they are very frail. Moving to your operator will leave it vulnerable and having it to fend for itself. If it goes down for any reason and you don't have any Regen charges left and didn't pack Hard Reset/Repair Dispensary?
There goes your minimap, there goes loot pickups, there goes other useful perks.
That's the part that's annoying, that's the core part of the issue.
For a blunt TLDR?
We just need ways to keep our Sentinels/Pets from eating one too many bullets. That's all.
As of update 34 i think Universal Vacuum conversation should be on the table more than ever. Now pets have so much utility that vacuum is just dead space blocking better mods no matter what companion you use, yet you are required to have it sloted because playing without is just worthless waste of time... we got enemy radar for everyone, enemy highlighting so why not vacuum
Yeah, you'd think adding a baseline universal Vacuum would be something DE adds as well.
Unfortunately, that's not how DE works.
Though to be fair? I was expecting this kinda buff in... I dunno, 2036?
I still find it hilarious that I called this perfectly. Be it in this wiki or anywhere else.
Once DE makes Sentinels stop being ungodly squishy (be it a universal revival mechanic or just gives them link mods)?
That's the day the community goes NUTS over Sentinels, because of the sheer control they have AND the weapon choices being more adaptable than your typical rug-in-the-making.
To those folks who tell me otherwise? Golly! It's like I called this because I play the game.
A sin in this age, I know.
Anyway, yeah. I agree, especially with all the new mods to try out, space is certainly lacking. I'm already feeling that on my Dethcube, even if I can remove Primed Regen now.
I mean, really. Who the hell is going to manually walk onto every single item they wanna pickup? I feel if anything, we could use *more* range, given how frantic combat can be at times.
As of 2020, we still have no way to have an ensured, simple, and permanent Vacuum. My Carrier Prime with Primed Regen rank 9 just can't hold a solo iso bounty per exemple (even with Shepherd) and I don't want to use pets because of the random sounds they make, the fact that we have to revive them and even with new kavats and their self revive, it means 30 seconds without vacuum each time whereas it's the only thing I really want...
I wish I could have a specific invulnerable sentinel that just vacuums things and does nothing more, or maybe just have invulnerable sentinels if they don't have a weapon equipped.
"I wish I could have a specific invulnerable sentinel that just vacuums things and does nothing more"
If it can also use Primed Animal Instinct, i take it.
This is the reason I main Nezha: you can cast Warding Halo on your sentinel with Safeguard to make it almost invincible.
You can use Djinn and it's Reawaken mod to get revive for every 90s once it's dead. You can also use Repair Dispensary when subsuming dispensary or Hard Reset when using the parazon blade.
^Band-aids that won't heal this problem at all.
doesnt work after it dies
Once it's die, it's gone forever (unless you spend affinity resurrect when you die). Sentinel are the vaccum, when it dies the vaccum destroyed.
Does it interfere with the precept order at all or is it fine to put this toward the lower right corner and it'll still trigger?
The mentioned bug, about not being able to pick up stuff and interact with things can be overcome with operator mode as you can still do those things in operator mode, BUT as operator mode doesn`t need ammo it won`t pick it up and eventually you will run out of ammo, making all weapons except melee useless.
Vacuum confirmed for pets! It's called "Fetch".
Are the two additives for Khora (Fetch on Venari + Vacuum on Moa or Sentinel or two Fetch) ?
Vaccum also doesnt pick up Sentient Cores. I can confirm this.
Why isnt this info in the article?
So now it seems that the only way to get Vacuum is by transmuting, right ? Well, time for this mod to grow in price !
You get a free copy when you build Taxon
5pl lol
1pl any more and your bring cheated
What is Carrier surronded by in the new mod picture? Bread?
Toast. The most sought after item in the game. They say if you collect enough you win the game. So far Carrier is the only one to collect enough toast to do this.
They're credits...
Way back the Old carrier only mod was effected by the Eagle-Eye, Reach, Hawk-Eye range boost.
Question: what is the status of this interaction? is the range of the loot pick-up effected?
Can't find this pages discussion, as of Plains of Eidolon vacuum now affects reactant in fissure missions.
Um, you're in the section of the page used for discussion dude.
I noticed this last week myself... while not an entirely necessary change (the reactant indicator is very hard to miss), this was nonetheless one of the better ninja-buffs DE has done. Esp when it comes to fissure Interceptions and Excavations. While it hasn't happened very recently, those are the only two missions types that I have come up short in the past, and several times at that. Most often by only 1 reactant, which is extremely annoying and frustrating. With this buff, I can focus more on the mission and just make sure I bounce my way past the needed reactant until full.
Thanks, DE!!!
Now, just add a vacuum-like precept to our four-legged companions as well, and I will joyfully go back to my neglected Helminth Charger, and maybe even use my Smeeta for once since maxing her.
For some reason the range has been reduced from 12m to 11.5m, DE just love to tease people.
I'm sure it rounds to 12
So where do you get this from now? I converted all of my spares into endo thinking that I could just get another one, but now I can't find where it drops and I need it. :p
Unfortunately, this doesn't drop from anyone. Your only choice is to either trade it with someone or make another sentinel. Or transmuting, but I don't recommend that for a sentinel precept.
So when they say that Vacuum makes a sound, does that mean it will alert enemies if used in a spy mission despite being invisible?
So, where can I get the new vacuum mod? I've just got a bunch of the ones that replaced it.
Did they make this mod a rare drop?
Prior to this update I had 800+ of this mod, now I have 7 and haven't gotten one since.
Just wondering.
No, not a rare. It won't drop at all in fact. Vacuum was converted to Ammo Case at the vacuum within update, since every sentinel has innate vacuum. When it was made into a mod again, everyone got a copy of vacumm for every sentinel they own.
All good but still dont see any incentive to switch out my Carrier for any other sentinel or dog/cat.
Just let Doggos and Cats use this mod plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
no, they have completely different uses than sentinels
They are actually talking about doing it in the future, don't know when though. To the person who said no, I love the fact that you smell like candy corn. =D
usoulz wuz here
My Helios doesn't want to use vacuum at all.
Do you know about ordering your precepts?
If you want your sentinel to vacuum consistently you'll have to place it before it's other ability precepts.
It doesn't it always sucks no matter the order. Well, least for me
That picture looks like DE layered it incorrectly.
The blocks are clearly on the ground but in front of Carrier and it makes it look like Carrier is HUGE.
It is layered correctly, The carrier is on the ground sorounded by credit drops.
