The Bronco Prime is the Primed variant of the shotgun sidearm Bronco, featuring a higher base damage and magazine size at the cost of a lower fire rate and reload speed. The Bronco Prime was added into the game in Update 9.0 (2013-07-13).
This weapon can be sold for 5,000; it is also a requisite ingredient for
Akbronco Prime (x2).

Notes[]
- The Bronco Prime's high damage, high spread and high pellet count (with
Barrel Diffusion) make it a good crowd thinner and control tool, particularly against the Infested.
- Using
Seeker is recommended to increase its capability against large groups of enemies.
- Using
Gunslinger (or
Lethal Torrent) and
Quickdraw may be valuable due to the low rate of fire and reload speed, to increase the time spent shooting.
Incarnon Genesis[]
- Upon completion of The Duviri Paradox and Angels of the Zariman, and unlocking The Steel Path, players can earn
Bronco Incarnon Genesis from The Circuit's Steel Path to place on their Bronco with the help of Cavalero in the Chrysalith. This Incarnon Genesis form grants it evolutions to a transformation and newfound strength.
Evolution[]
- Installing the Bronco Incarnon Genesis requires 20
Pathos Clamps, 70
Yao Shrubs, and 100
Nacreous Pebbles.
- When installed, the first Evolution tier is unlocked. The following Evolution tiers, their requirements for unlocking them, and their related perks, are shown below;
- Each challenge additionally grants 5,000 affinity to the weapon, affected by Affinity Boosters.
Evolution I[]
- Weakpoint hits charge Incarnon Transmutation; Alt Fire transmutes. Switching back will expend any remaining charge.
- Increase Range and Ricochet.
- Incarnon Form has much higher Critical Chance, Critical Multiplier, and Status Chance, and longer Damage Falloff ranges, at the expense of reduced base damage and Fire Rate.
- Individual pellets now ricochet once to nearby enemies within 8 meters of the main target.
- Modding for Punch Through and hitting multiple targets will create successive ricochets.
Void Status Effect prevents ricochets from occurring.
- Mode switching is not instantaneous and has an animation equal to the weapon's reload speed.
- Incarnon Form is activated by filling the Incarnon Transmutation gauge that appears under the reticule by achieving weakpoints and then pressing the Alternate Fire button. 40 weakpoints will completely fill the gauge. A full gauge is not required to activate Incarnon Form.
- Charges do not generate on the backpacks of most MOA variants, or vulnerability spots generated by
Sonar or
Detect Vulnerability in places other than actual weakpoints.
- Weakpoints on corpses or Invulnerable targets do not build charges.
- Individual Multishot bullets can build charges.
- Charges do not generate on the backpacks of most MOA variants, or vulnerability spots generated by
- Instead of drawing ammunition from its reserves, the Bronco's Incarnon Form uses a separate "magazine" with each charge producing 0.5 rounds to a maximum of 20 rounds. Once all ammunition is expended, the Bronco reverts to its normal form.
- Incarnon Form's magazine is not affected by mods.
- Incarnon Form is not affected by Ammo Efficiency (such as
Energized Munitions).
- Charges and Incarnon Form persists through all activities, such as holstering, bleedout, or being disarmed. However, charges and Incarnon Form are removed upon death.
- Swapping to and from Incarnon Form will fully reload the normal form's magazine.

- Unlock Challenge: Complete a solo mission with the Bronco equipped.
- Perk 1: Speeding Bullet:
- Increase Damage by +36 (Bronco) / +30 (Prime).
- With Sprint Speed 1.2 or Higher: +60% Projectile Speed.

- Perk 2: Infused Shots:
- Increase Damage by +20 (Bronco) / +16 (Prime).
- On 50 Energy Spent: Increase Damage by +10 (Bronco) / +9 (Prime) for 10s. Stacks up to 4x.

- -50% Weapon Recoil.
- Perk 2: Practised Grip:

Patch History[]
Hotfix 33.6.4 (2023-08-15)
- Fixed the Bronco Prime not leaving bullet holes in the environment.
Update 32.0 (2022-09-07)
- Ammo Changes
We understand the power fantasy of these weapons is very popular for some, so our first approach was to keep them powerful, but limit how often they can be used by making changes to ammo pick-up.
Ammo Pickup Overrides
The following weapons now have ammo pickup overrides, meaning they gain less from picking up ammo. This mostly applies to AoE weapons, in hopes that players will become more deliberate with their aim to make the most of their Ammo pools. The following lists the specific ammo pick up overrides per weapon category.
Secondary Weapon Ammo Pick Up Overrides
20 Ammo per Pick Up:
- Bronco Prime
Update 27.2 (2020-03-05)
- Greater than 100% Status having meaning:
Shotguns have a unique Role here based on a very patch-work history with how they interact with Status Chance. A Shotgun that shoots 99% Status Chance would give you 35% (roughly) status per pellet. 100% Status Gives you 100% Status per pellet. This huge jump in performance happens with just a 1% gain - why? Well, to answer that we have to look at our choice to make what the UI conveys reality. It would feel broken to shoot a Shotgun with 100% Status and not see a perfect spread of Effects. In reality, to make Status consistent we have to treat Shotguns as a special case.
Shotguns as a special case means we have buffed the Status Chance of all Shotguns by x3 or greater. The UI now behaves to show the reality that you are determining Status Chance per pellet.
- (Undocumented) Status chance per projectile increased from 4.2857142857143% to 12.857142857143%.

This gun has a horrible fall off than can be fixed by its incarnon form, doesn't the Nami Solo Incarnon Evolution III effect make it effective pair for this gun, it effectively adds +60% fall off range meaning it can go to 86% on non incarnon mode, or is the buff multiplicative and only boosts it to +41% either way that is a big jump up.
The melee incarnon +x% fall off range is buff to this melee's Follow Through stats, not a buff to fall off range of other weapons.
I'm really considering getting this because i have no other shotguns beside the Tigris and I'm not using the regular Bronco
Its pretty bad.
The only real use it has is using the augment mod to open enemies up for finishers.
The incarnon is already making it look like a worthwhile pickup.
31k 6 mag Targetting Subsystem for a non incarnon build is good enough for me, for now!
Dizzying Rounds + Galvanized Shot.
+ Arcane Ultimatum :)
You're gonna be doing most of the dmg with melee finisher with this weapon from that nightwave augment. Just build for utility, max reload speed and mag cap if you can :V
WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD RIVEN FOR THIS GUN?
AAAAAAAAAAH!
DAMAGE, MULTISHOT, AND CRITICAL CHANCE, LIKE THE ONE I HAVE, IF YOU PICK THE RIGHT INCARNON PERKS.
This gun may not be the best of the bunch, but goddamn it is fun and satisfying to get up close and blast the enemy in the face. Just wish the reload time was faster for a magazine that small.
new nightwave augument for the bronco might bring this dead relic back to life, get those rivens while you can
You're better off throwing this one out the airlock once you've milked it for mastery, it's actually painful to use. For real, it hurts you more than any enemy you might bring it up against, especially when you have to shove it against their head to actually hit them and then you can STILL miss
Disposition was changed to 4, not sure when. Please update, I am incompetent
With Bronco Prime you spend more time reloading than shooting the damn thing. Riven bait is strong with this one. Giving 2 seconds reload speed to a shotgun with 4 shells per mag(cylinder?) as well as giving it abysmal range and accuracy is retarded. I understand that it might be suffering that way because of it's low rank requirement, but damn, I think devs don't know the difference between in-game DPS and paper DPS. It doesn't matter if a shotgun deals 350 damage if that damage is cut by half and then further lowered by spread. It's only selling point is potential 100% status chance. But it still sucks because of the spread, since it doesn't hit your target with all the status procs unless you're poking an enemy with your Bronco in it's face(but then you have to reload it and enemy right in front of you, so you get the idea). It has same problems that Tigris had back when it just came out.
With a good riven it's a great weapon to dual-wield with a throwable, or use as a boosting weapon for Sarpa/Redeemer(because it can achieve 5 procs per shot and Condition Overload likes 5 procs), but at that point you already have much better alternatives like Mara Detron for both killing enemies AND melee boosting. It sucks that DE basically force players to forget about it and use AkBroncos or some other secondaries, because of the stupid rank-DPS-system and complete disregard towards range, accuracy and reload stats of the gun.
Ahaha, imagine that now this doesn't even have considerable status chance.
I tried it and it looks like the Bronco is better than its Prime version, Idk why
Getting a Riven for this from a Solo Sysnthesis unlock - feelsbadman
Ingame says it's a 4 out of 5 disposition, not a 5
You have to think, in practical terms, how badass it is to be tied *with yourself* for highest damaging in your category
I was wondering before I open the relic to posobly get bronco prime what items do I need to build it?? I can't seem to find out what items and figure someone on here would know..
Manufacturing requirements are near the top of the page, above the part location drop down.
I’m MR8. I’ve crafted the Bronco Prime in Foundry and now using it. The mastery requirement for this weapon on this page says MR 10. Something may have changed and that entry could be outdated info.
The Disadvantages section says this weapon has damage fall off, which is untrue. Did a test firing at Nullifier bubbles, saw the exact same damage numbers popping up right next to it as I did all the way across the map.
the dropoff got changed this patch, either its a bug currently or - more likely - nullifier bubbles dont take faloff into account
mullifier bubbles don't receive drop-off when taking damage
The bubble for nullies have set damage recieving values. The lowest damge they can recieve is 100 and the highest is 400, so you can shoot them with an unmodded lato and the damage it does would get rounded up to 100 because the bubble is coded to not receive damage below that. I suggest you retry your test on another sort of enemy to get more consistent results.
Shot a level 22 Runner with this point blank and it didn't die. :(
The buff it recived in Update 21 made this weapon a beast now, i have a riven that boosts impact damage ,base damage and zoom, and before the buff. Combined with hornet strike, barrel diffusion and lethal torrent had it at 4k impact, after the buff it now sits at 8k impact. i and very pleased with this :)
MR 11 dude what ? why it's ok but at mr 1 you get all kinds of cool shit
it does hit really hard thou, and can rival lex prime
Uhm, only at point blank range. The Lex Prime is FAR more consistent and takes better advantage of the mods available to pistols.
