A question about revives
Why do players use them willy-nilly? Especially when a fellow Tenno is within slapping distance?
Doesn't it take away 10% of your affinity and there is a limit?
Well personally I use it when im not lvling anything and I pretty much know I won't go down again.
You have 6 revives and affinity isn’t scarce
In public games I'm just not that fussed, and usually press revive just to get up and doing things again. That and if I start actually expecting strangers in public games to res me I'm just setting myself up for occasional frustration and disappointment.
In addition to what everyone else said there's also the shame factor if you go down in a really dumb way. "What, no, I didn't fall over... wukong doesn't fall over, must have been a bug... No one saw -phew.😅
Because 10% is nothing especially if you aren’t leveling anything. It hurts no one and wastes no ones time to revive yourself.
One of the frustrating things to me. Can't get the last Steam achievement because people can't wait for an instant revive since I'm using Vazarin.
At this point, I'll probably just pay someone to let me revive them 400 times so I can be done with the last achievement. It's sad I did 1 million meters on a k-drive before reviving.

I only really revive people in SO, Hydron, and ESO. Otherwise you probably haven’t been gaining enough affinity for it to matter.
Just pick yourself up. It’s especially annoying when downed players block hacking points for rescue and spy, or refuse to self revive at a critical moment (demolysts bearing down on conduits, defense target in danger, etc.).

It wastes everyones time if you don't need the revive (the player could progress the mission) so its inefficient and its less fun to both.
-
The expectation that players don't revive *you anyway isn't completely outrageous (either because they don't care or because they don't even notice it) so it might waste even more time.
-
A few of warframes "features" (=bugs) outright require you to revive manually
-
It revives sentinels (should that matter)
-
Affinity, like many others have mentioned, is easy to get and we have "loot caves" anyway for that
-
We have up to 6+ revives and it barely ever matters
For the vast majority of the game it really doesn't matter so using it just gets you faster back to playing.
we dont pay for revives anymore, most of us have extra revives because of arcanes.
it's embarassing to be on the floor
