Why is my canna oil so dark?
I used 1/2 Oz bud to 3 cups olive oil. I’m planning to use it for gummies but I saw a video of a lady’s oil that was really bright and clear.
This was my first try. Did I do something wrong? Can I fix it now?

It should be dark. Looks good
Oh thank goodness!! Thank you!
You seem well enough reassured and I agree that not a single one of my infusions have once turned that golden youtube oil color either. But I am curious though to your process. There is a mild possibility the decarb or even the infusion got too hot and thats how you got that color. It also really depends on the flower you're using, so many fun factors.
I am also really intrigued to read a gummie recipe that calls for olive oil, unless it is by choice, even then that still sounds like it would be interesting to find out why.. olive oil? lol.
These gummies look delish and her video makes it look pretty easy. I went with olive oil because it was affordable and sufficient. 😊 She’s great though. Straight to the point, no ads. Fun to watch.https://youtu.be/xXtpB7lZQ5Y
You've ruined it..but out of the goodness of my heart I will replace your nasty oil with perfectly good olive oil. I'll DM you my address so we can make the exchange.
😂 I’ll mail ya a gummy!
My high ass thought that was one of those gallon size sun tea containers full of fucking canna oil. I was going to shit myself.
Bwah! 😂 I can see that! It’s a tiny pickle jar but what a fun perspective experiment 😆
Once it's solidified it will be much lighter.
It happens when you leave the plant matter infusing for longer. Darker doesn't necessarily mean worse, but you will taste the plant more.
