Patch History[]
Hotfix 32.2.4 (2022-12-07)
- Fixed the Latron (base and Wraith) having a weird delayed recoil animation, causing it to look choppy and unnatural when shooting.
Update 32.2 (2022-11-30)
- SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPON CHANGES
While reviewing the stats of some weapons with a semi-automatic mode, we noticed that certain weapons had an unsustainably high fire rate for most players. We adjusted the stats of the following semi-automatic weapons whose maximum potential was only being reached with the use of macros (to learn more about third-party use in Warframe visit our support article). Since not everyone is an avid macro user (within the boundaries allowed), we lowered fire rates to a more humanly achievable level and improved their damage or reload stats to compensate.
Latron Wraith
- Reduced fire rate from 5.42 to 5.
- Increased damage from 60 to 62.

This is the great for Latron incarnon imo. The DPS is pretty close to Prime, but if you want to use Semi-Rifle Cannonade, the higher base fire rate looks really nice. The disposition will likely stay higher. And the incarnon mode has the same stats regardless of which model you use.
"Lower base damage per projectile (62.00 vs. 90.00)" That is a pretty big base damage difference though. And if you are using Cannonade more FR is good but it isnt that big a difference? YMMV.
Awesome
Lol
DE needs to buff ALL of the non-sniper semi auto rifles (excluding chakkhurr/the grinloks), they're slow, weak, uncomfortable to use, are made redundant by snipers. I'm talking to you especially, Veldt.
Try the latron prime with Double Tap, it's absolutely disgusting
For some reason i wasn't signed in, ^ that was me
How often do these parts come around? I have the blueprint but keep checking the Invasion missions and the parts are never an option.
This. Blueprint and no hope for Parts in any way.
And the Blueprint can be rewarded even lower than MR7, I'm currently MR6 and I think I got the Blueprint at MR5.
+250% CC +216% CD riven. And you know what? Still not worth using this gun. Tried a lot of combinations, including the double tap mod, and it still underperforms. Tested against Grineer and it takes too many shots to kill. Gun isn't good against the infested because it's semi auto. Corpus is OK but there are a lot better weapons to use against them that are AoE. Even with an amazing riven it still underperforms.
I jus thope that DE buffs this weapon, or at the very least removes that awful zoom and awful recoil. That way it will make it atleast fun to play with.
Man, I hope you kept that riven mod...
I would suggest that a note be added to this entry, that
like the Strun Wraith, the Latron Wraith will not be shown in the codex or player profile equipment inventories as existing until after they have been built. That also makes them nob linkable in chat under the same conditions.
Non linkable. Sorry.
Good point
Just got a latron CC+CD+SC riven so im excited to make the wraith a crit God. As far as I can tell double tap calculates after all mods so would that be doing 400% after crits with max stack?
No multishot and no neg 😞
Love the design, regular Latron and Latron Prime not really, but wraith's colour blend metallic with the "veiny" element i adore, too bad the weapon kinda sucks still, damage not really good, accuracy could also be better.
Over all it feels like a fancy BB gun..
Looks nice, but not much else to say for it. Accuracy is unreliable past close range, deals low damage if you're not getting headshots constantly, and the magazine is too small.
Accuracy is very high, but for some reason even if you reduce all the recoil firing it fast makes the bullets spread out as if it still had recoil. Noticed this recently in the sim. If you fire it slow, it stays perfectly accurate.
Was leveling this for fodder then suddenly Double Tap is now in PVE lol
The zoom and recoil makes this weapon not fun to use. The high fire rate makes this even worse, and if you aren't firing as fast as you can the lack of damage will catch up pretty quick. Just a really bad weapon imo
Why is the Latron Wraith a thing though? 'Wraith' is a prefix for Grineer weapons.
not necessarily, the Strun Wraith was a thing, but both were released before Wraith being Grineer was considered a 'rule'
Hu, I wish I would've seen the outcry of the lore nerds back then.
Imperator Vandal's page in the Trivia section claims that it's "the third Event weapon to have an additional hidden feature over its original version, after [1] Snipetron Vandal and [2] Latron Wraith."
Well, what's the Latron Wraith's hidden feature? 'Cause I don't see anything here of note that would explain it.
Maybe the "hidden" feature is that it has higher zoom than the regular Latron? idk
on the noise level page (https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Noise_Level) it says that the latron wraith is nearly silent despite the inventory saying it has an "alarming" noise level. I don't have it so I can't test wether or not that is still accurate though.
Until I get my hands on it again it'll remain shit in my mind
Semi-auto sucks. Yuck.
Quieres pene?
This aged like milk.
So really I need to get the Latron Prime? Because I have the Wraith version and was looking forward to using it before getting it all together, well now I'm disappointed. It seems incredibly inaccurate for a semi-auto, does hardly any damage even with Serration, and then you need to pick if you want a Status, Crit, or Hybrid build, any of which still doesn't elevate it very high =/ Plus I had to put a Catalyst in it to even get it to be mediocre, plus the forma I might need to dump into it
Yes, they are maxed. Ironic that I'd respond now when I can't even play the damn game and I had seriously just forgotten this weapon.
I did try to aim headshots, and while hitting does do a good amount of damage, rarely shots would go wide for no discernible reason. I even checked if I was lagging badly, and no, the game was running decently. Aside from enemy head hitboxes being unreliable at times, the only thing I can think of is this gun being shit.
This series of guns just feels like it has the steepest drop off range of all weapons cause it stops being effective at like lvl 25 content since it has to have ammo mods and the recoil mod on it just to be usable
" Plus I had to put a Catalyst in it to even get it to be mediocre, plus the forma I might need to dump into it "
Maybe this is just me, but anything you consider using for any reason, meaning non MR fodder, deserves a catalyst and at least a couple forma. Some weapons come with 2 or 3 polarized slots to begin with, but most don't. Once you max, or come close to maxing, your must have mods you better bet that any weapon worth having will need some love. I may excercise a bit of excess, but my top ten weapons had catalysts before I ever used them, and have between 3 and 6 formas.
Before I ever even consider giving any weapon some good lovin, I typically come here and read the pros and cons, tips and notes, and then right to the comment section. You'll find out real quick whether or not a weapon deserves any special treatment. Apparently the Latron Wraith is not one of those weapons.
Funny thing about that is, I did read this page before assembling the weapon, since I already had the parts from Invasions, and I figured might as well make it. What's written here sounds a lot better than how the weapon performs, at least for me.
What is the "additional hidden feature over its original version" (reference from Imperator Vandal)? Fire rate?
I don't know, I feel like its seriously just increased zoom, "hidden" feature? Sounds like the dumbest hidden feature ever.
It's supposed to have a 25m alerting radius instead of the standard 40m... Flovourwise you could say it is "not as loud" as other weapons. But this kind of stuff barely maters or works as the Rakta Dark Dagger shows.
Well, if silence is of importance to you, just play Banshee...
A shame about its ADS, really hate how "in ur face" the zoom is.
Glad to see the stats were largely buffed all-round versus the original proposed changes. The single -% to status chance feels a little arbitrary, but that's pretty much irrelevant.
It was nerfed from 20% status, not from 15%. DE were just trying to hide it by falsely stating it had 15% before.
Or someone messed up, it does happen sometimes
Latron Wraith
Mastery Rank increased from 0 to 7
Damage increased from 50 to 72
Critical chance decreased from 25% to 20%
From devworkshop
I am not sure how i feel about this. Do you think this is a nerf, or a buff? +22 dmg seems pretty substantial
Overall, slightly worse, since most of its damage relies on the critchance. Not only that, but it also loses its sidegrade-niche compared to the Prime. Which stinks, since I liked the Wraith better than the Prime (much nicer sound and looks).
Damage is 60, Crit chance 26%, status 14% as stated here. Double checked on mine.
