Voice Attack Speech Recognition

So I recently re-installed Voice Attack and some HCS voices and tools, trained windows for my voice... but it's doing very badly, not understanding a single word I say. which is strange since it was working before
I was looking through the options for Voice Attack and I found you could change the default speech engine, I only have the default MS one but that got me thinking, can you download a different (and better) speech engine and use it in Voice Attack. So if you know of any speech engines and how to download them, please say so!

I don't have an answer to your question, but I wanted to ask if you were using a microphone? If you are letting the PC (or laptop) speaker pick things up it might not work as well.
Also, you can check your audio software. For example on my laptop I have a Dell Audio app whose microphone settings (since I'm using a microphone) can dramatically affect VoiceAttack.

Did you go into control panel on windows and do voice training? I am using the default engine and it picks everything up perfectly
