I need microphone recommendations for gaming
as the title says, i need recommendations, pros/cons of different mics. currently using hyperx cloud 2 mic which worked before but now its a little f’d, so instead of just buying a new headset, i’d rather buy a new proper mic. so send in your microphones, their pros and cons. also my budget is roughly 100 dollars/euro

Look for the antlion Mod Mic, there relativly cheap and good qualitiy. An you can Clip them on to your hyper x with a little magnet
I have a Rode NTUSB - it’s plug and play so no mixer but it’s a professional quality mic. I got mine for $90Aud at a closing down sale but honestly don’t know what they retail for.
My mic so far has no cons, you can hear a pin drop with this thing so I just run suppression through windows and it’s perfect.
Yeti is also ok but basic don’t get a snowball one (the round one) those have bad reviews and several known issues, I did a lot of research when I got mine.
Ah i see, ill look into the NTUSB, thanks for your input
The classic choice would be the Shure SM57. It's super versatile, super robust, and has been used for decades (for recording pretty much any style of music, vocals, voice, etc). The downside is that you'd need an audio interface, something like the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, and the combo would exceed the budget (I really like this setup).
If you're looking for an USB microphone, the Audio-Technica ATR2100x-USB is a nice choice. Like the SM57, it's a dynamic microphone, which I feel works best for voice as it'll capture less background noise compared to condenser mics (like the Rode and the Blue Yeti, which are generally popular picks - I feel these better choices for situations where you want to capture the background sounds too). The Audio-Technica supports both USB and XLR, so if you later on got an audio interface or other audio equipment, you could use it with that too.
Before I went with my audio technica mic with an audio interface I had the Yeti Blue Mic and the sound quality wasnt too far off from what Im using now. It has an input so you can hook your headphones up directly to it.

Anything in the Corsair Virtuoso line. Honestly the Corsair Virtuoso RGB Wireless has the clearest mic of all, and that's the cheapest/base model.
A lot of people like the Corsair HS80, but that mic isn't removable. So unless you don't care about also have a mic-less over-ear set of headphones to use in public, I'd say the Virtuoso line is simply more functional.
Listen to some mic tests/reviews and you'll see what I mean. None of them bother with crappy headset mic filtering, so they sound great but will pick up any decently loud noise.
The only one with Bluetooth is the most expensive version, but the other cheaper models connect to PC/Playstation just fine.
The base model is supposed to be $170 if memory serves, but it came out so long ago you can probably find a very fresh (maybe even new) pair for <$100. A while ago I even bought the XT flagship $270 for ~$30 off of ebay, because the headband was so worn out. Everything else about it still works great, so I'd recommend seeing what you can find on ebay.
Thank you for all of the above. I found this thread today and am planning to buy one tonight.
Shure, Rode, Audio-Technica, TASCAM. You can't go wrong with them. Buy once, use forever. Don't know if Sony make mics and if Sennheiser is still good.
You have suggestions for Shure and Rode, won't repeat them. Audio-Technica have AT2020. You can grab the USB version. It could be above your budget, so wait for sale or go with something else if it's too much. It might be too much for what you ask for. ATR2100 or ATR2500 might be more of what you want.
Shure and TASCAM are US, Rode are Australian, Audio-Technica are Japanese. Build quality is exceptional, sound capture is ungodly for gaming purposes. You'll be set to stream and podcasts.
I'm using the Auna M900, it should be in your budget.
It sounds nice, never had any issues with it and just works.
I use a Yeti and use the old wired 3.5mm Apple Earpod earbuds connected to the mic. I don't like headphones and don't like earbuds with rubber ear pieces and these earbuds allow me to hear what's going on outside of my pc.
I use Fifine Am8 its a good microphone because its really cheap and the quality is also really great!
