I bought a cheap one about a year back, and I don't know how I lived without it. I use it all the time for all sorts of purposes. Have fun with your new toy!
I've been eyeballing the cheap ones but generally the reviews are atrocious. Could I ask which brand/model you guys have?
I'm not 100% sure what others would use it for, but I'd use it to help evaporate off a solvent more quickly. When I make RSO or clean the reclaim out of my rig, I always wished I had something like this. It would make the process go by so much more quickly.
The magnet is under the surface of the hotplate, shaped as a bar attached to a rotor (like a propeller plane), and when it spins, any magnetic material will spin along with it, so a stirring bar is added to the flask, which spins in the fashion seen, paralleling the rotor under the hotplate’s ceramic heating surface.
What are you stirring? Can someone ELI5?
Looks like distillate. It’s just a concentrated form of thc with all the other stuff in the plant removed.

Magnets. How do they work?

You better give her some good D and 24/8 breakfast in bed.
Marry her bruh!! I got a magnetic hot stirrer and it's been awesome! Makes distillate much more consistent... best investment I've made!
