Do yall actually use the pouring shield?
Looks like it’s quite cumbersome to use especially if you need to wipe down the sides often.
Wondering if the extra 30 dollars for a pouring shield is justifiable, thoughts?
I use mine. I’m new to the KitchenAid world though. The first 2 times I didn’t, I dumped the flour in, turned it on and flour went everywhere. So I decided to use it now lol. Some quick things I won’t but for the most part I do. I only use it for dry ingredients though.
I haven't used mine in years. If I could get $30 or eve $10 for it to get it out of the house I definitely would.
Such a waste of space! And impossible to store. AND it doesn’t achieve anything that a damp tea towel can do better.
My mixer came with one and I never use it. I wouldn’t pay for it.
I was under the impression it was for dry ingredients. I could be wrong. I own one but don’t really use it tbh.
Yep cos I have more explosive flour issues than a reasonable person should
Not very much. I use it when making things that poof up initially no matter how slow I go, like a gingerbread box mix I like that has fine ground ingredients. Or on days I’m having trouble with my hands and want to make extra sure I’m not going to accidentally launch raw egg splatter as I add eggs one at a time.
I threw it away years ago.
I got with my mixer and have used it probanly once.
i use it more like a splash guard, and it came with my machine
