- Stacks with the Augur mod set effect for a total of 390% Energy to shield conversion.
Inaros,
Nidus and
Kullervo (due to having no shields) as well as
Hildryn and
Lavos (due to having no energy) are unaffected by this aura.
- Shields are only replenished from activating abilities. Constant Energy drain from channeling abilities or triggered drain such as
Artemis Bow shots do not replenish Shields.
- Because the amount of shields restored is based off energy usage, this means that Ability Efficiency can reduce the potency of this aura's effects.
- Conversely, equipping
Blind Rage to decrease Efficiency increases the effectiveness of the aura.

If you are using zenurik you might have Inner Might(allows to cast an ability for free once every x seconds, i think 60 at max rank). Since it makes an ability not use energy there is no energy to shield conversion. The same thing will happen if you get "abilities don't consume energy and cast faster" in sanctum anatomica or zariman(lohk surge).
Just testing it and it does not stack with Augur set, game gives me only Augur set % even it is lower.
Did you just test it at full shield or did you make sure you got hurt first. Because Brief respite only does shields no overshield Augur set does shield and overshield

Mod is no longer working at all for me. Augur mods still work but this does not.
They just nerfed it so it doesn't give Overshields, while Augure mods do
It gives overshields if the shield return is greater then your missing shields, but its bugged in simulacrum. works in missions though

Idk, i like the augur mods better. unconditional, can stack shield with it, always works and synergizes heavy with adaptation. This mod seems good and i still use it, but often times i feel like it just doesnt trigger, when i dont have overshield (or any shield at all). Could be that i just dont see the shieldgain but then i instantly pop so apperently i didnt reach full shield (wich the 150% conversion should do. Never had this problem with the augur mods.
How does this interact with Parasitic Armor?
You temporarily reduce max shields to zero, so it's synerggizessynerggizes as well as with inaros and nidus.
How can it synergize with inaros and nidus? Parasitic armor requires you to have shields in the first place, which both frames don't. Therefore, brief respite and parasitic armor should have 0 affect on both frames.

It costs energy to cast when subsumed so yes.
No patch notes about nerfing it on energy per target abilities like inferno and blade storm, but it current gives zero shields when before veil breaker patch it gave shields for the energy spent on those abilities.
It no longer works on operators, which it already was reduced in efficacy given that operators had shields added in a hotfix a while back.
Hope they revert it, and allow decaying keys to affect operators since it'd be nice to shield gate while shooting, else you just die instantly without shields at high levels.
This now effects Operator abilities aswell.

No. Uses the amount paid. Anything that alters the cost of an ability alters how much brief respite gives you.
At least Atlas is immune to dmg anyway while using landslide
Combine this or the Augur set with a Decaying Dragon key on a frame that uses a lot of abilities to constantly refresh shield gating. Currently use this for my Nekros to get shield gating while casting his ult. I have no shield bonusses anyway, so lowering it so the energy coversion can regenrate it to max is way more useful. Without the Decaying Dragon key my shield is just a little too high to completely regenerate in 1 cast, but with it I regain the shield gating.
An interesting mod though it does not make Mirage less squishy in harder scenarios. 1 second of immunity that you can spam repeatedly is great for sure, but you can still get cornered without energy and then no insta-shields for you.
It does make armor heavy frames even more tanky since their minimal shields tend to deplenish quickly and it only takes up one mod for the mechanic to replenish shields to work.
Someone mentioned Baruuk using this mod but he very difficult to kill anyway. Shields for him are sorta besides the point since he doesnt need them to survive.
My hunch is that this mod is best for frames that have absolutely no damage reduction built into their abilities since shield gating is effectively a form of damage reduction if used at the right time (and as long as you have energy to spend to spam this mechanic)
That's why you combine it with Rolling Guard. Like any other 9999+ level build.
"Your hunch" is wrong - when this mod was created shield gating didn't exist and, like all other auras, it was only intended to give a *very* marginal benefit, not to build your entire defenses around it.
Yeah, I'm planning on putting a Forma on my Garuda to use and abuse this mod, as for now I'm using the Augur Set while spamming Wisp's Breach Surge, which is quite fun, and is a great ability for Garuda, since she has no CROWD control, and not only BS provides that, but it also provides a AoE dmg chance when attacking enemies. (either way, I will problably switch to gloom once I get an Reactor :V)
If this and the Augur set worked on Hildryn, she'd be all that would be worth using in a large portion of the content. I mean, spend one shield, get 1033.5 back? That'd be insane. Of course, that's just with a full squad of people using Brief Respite and Coaction Drift.
She's already strong enough with pillage augment. You have to try to die, even in Steel Path. Her damage isn't the best but Rakta Dark Dagger is a perfect fit anyway.
Hildryn really doesn't need help, although I wouldn't mind more augments to play around with. She's in a brilliant spot though! :)
