The sad news is the owner of the site was involved in car accident and had surgery but he has wake up yet and the team from Anitaku can't do update anything on the site until the owner gets back since he is the only one who knows the domain account The good news is they said they are going to return when the owner wakes up with keep uploading anime One of the mods has left the message on the site know as Updownradr.com few hours ago

Has anyone noticed that since a couple of days ago when you try to watch an old upload (since the isn't being uploaded for the time being) you click on the video and a very annoying add window pops up (and it isn't being blocked by Brave's addblocker). Sometimes you gotta click three or four times on the video for it to start playing (and pop ups appearing each time) and if you try to click on the window to pause while it's playing another couple of windows will pop up... Anyone knows how to block those things or if this is a bad sign regarding the future of the site itself?
Idk why animepahe has the unique downloader most of gogo scrapers are from vidstream while animepahe is pahe . win

Is there a site that allow downloads in mp4 files on idm like aniwave and gogo did in an acceptable sizes and qualities if you know can anyone recommend which has dubs too

I will always remain thankful to Gogoanime or Anitaku, as it was because of them I was introduced to Anime.
I will still continue to watch anime, as there are thousands of websites, but it would never be the same. There was something about this website that made streaming or downloading anime quite enjoyable and easy. The Devs really need a standing ovation for operating such a website with so many issues, yet never failing to cause a delay in the upload.
To all those people who love this website just like me, this past 3-4 days haven't been the best, and I can relate with everyone of you.
I sincerely hope that Gogoanime returns all of a sudden again and the uploads resume.
But if this is the Glorious End,
Let's be thankful for its existence.

Not gonna lie i do pray at times like this. Please just be some technical issue that just need some time to resolve. :Prayge:
Guys I'm depressed and anime was the last thing I was holding onto. I've suffered so much in life and if GOGOAnime which is like a family member to me shuts down, I might commit suicide! I can't bear losing my friend like that
Again Anitaku website is left hanged, no new episodes are updated. Does anyone know alternate website which is working

To preface this, this post is not saying that gogo will shut down 100%, but i thinks it's pretty likely it will shut down.
As many of you know, gogo hasn't been uploading new episodes since Sunday now, but older episodes and the rest of the site seems to work fine and there have been posts regarding this here as well. While some might blame this on just some technical issues, i think gogoanime will shut down and here is a bit of context to show that.
I found out a bit of stuff ( connected the dots for me) and wanted to share it.
First of all, the community administrators who had active contact with the site admin also have no idea what's going on but are also concerned.
But this touches on 2 things that are important.
-
"gogoanime" also ran other sites for movies/series, kdramas, russian dramas etc. which is pretty typical for a site as large as gogo (hianime also has movie/series sites and aniwave used to as well) and these sites have problems right now. You can tell they are operated by the same people from the site by yourself if you know your stuff but the community admin basically confirms it and it was common knowledge in the community, just needed to explain to this to people who didn't know.. (keep dramacool specifically in mind).
-
While the operator sent a message after the problems started, it doesn't seem to be related to the issue and telegram group was shut down.
Now, dramacool and those other sites aren't just "down" and have problems, they are shut down:
The torrentfreak article connected the dots for me by listing the site as dead and linking the X/Twitter-post as i don't use it and would otherwise not have learned of this news. However, torrentfreak didn't tie them to gogo. (We have established before that they are operated by the same people)
The article mentions that some of their domains have been blocked for abuse by their registrar namecheap (or placed on clienthold):
Not much is known about the pressure they are under since, well, it's not public and they didn't reveal much themselves. But them shutting down "just" because of some domains getting suspended seems odd, too odd.
A Concerning pattern:
The network is large so not all their domains got suspended. As of now, asianc(.co) and watchasia(.is) for example are still operational but you will see a familiar sight... all uploads have stopped since the 24th of november, the same date that gogoanime stopped updating.
(, this post is filled with enough pictures already. But please feel free to check it out yourself.)
Concerns:
-
it would be pretty easy to resume functionality after 4 days and we know that the operator is aware of the issue since they have posted a announcement for their drama sites.
-
the pressure seems to be big enough for them to shut down their kdrama sites and stop their uploading system on the whole network altogether, not say anything and delete a telegram group for what seems to just be some suspended domains on the surface level.
as far as i can tell, there is no reason why this would be happening if the site were to continue as normal.
as to why they posted something on their drama sites and not for gogo: no clue.
The article mentions that dramacool was kind of their passion project and they just may have been more involved with the community there?
i want to reiterate that it is not 100% confirmed that gogo will shut down, i just think something extremely fishy is going on and it is more than likely that they will.
Well, that's it. i have yapped quite a bit to tie gogoanime and the drama sites together and explain all the surrounding context.
rip gogo-scrapers i guess lol
I'm making this post so that we can have the information in one place (part of the post is taken from a previous comment I made), I'd also appreciate if people could refrain from posting "dead site" since the site is still up, just not currently updating.
So I gave the Discord a look over, and as of the time of writing this there have been no official announcements from the site admins, despite quite a few posts in the "help-desk" channel, and even the admins of the Discord server haven't been able to get in touch with the site admins.
However, one of(?) the site admins did create some threads in the "anime-request" channel on the 26th for episodes that people have been requesting, with statements that they are looking into those episodes and updating, so it doesn't seem like the site is being taken down (that last conclusion is just speculation on my part from the presented evidence, and the lack of an announcement does concern me in any case).
Some people on the Discord have also been speculating that it might be technical issues of some sort, which seems plausible since the site is still up and working for the time being.
In any case this is the currently available information, and the only thing we're able to do until we get an official announcement or the site starts updating again would be to speculate, and I'd advise against heavy speculation since we have no way of confirming such speculations at present.
I'll try to keep this updated with new information whenever it comes up.

Edit 1: Clarification from Discord staff (2024-11-27, 13:21 UTC+00:00)
"Since Nov 24th 2024 no updates have been made to the Gogoanime sites nor its sister Korean drama sites. The Discord staff have gotten no information as to why or what's going on.
When we know more I will make an announcement in server-announcements. Until then, all we can do is wait. Asking for updates in DMs is not welcome since we will handle all communication through the Discord server. Similarly, asking "any updates" in help-desk or any other channel will yield nothing, all communications about the current situation will be handled on a community wide basis not individually.
To reiterate, we don't know anything, as of now we're in the dark about what's going on with the website. It continues to be online but no updates have been made. If you want to know exactly when updates are made again you can turn on notifications on recent-releases." - post by Discord staff
As for the Korean drama sites (Dramacool), it seems like those have been shut down due to copyright claims from what is available on the official socials, though some similar sites (might be clones) are still working and updating, personally I have no real interest in those types of shows so I'm not well versed enough to make any definitive claims on which ones are/aren't real, but it does look like the official ones are shutting down.
Edit 2: Update - 28th of November (2024-11-28, 15:52 UTC+00:00)
"No word since last update. Both domains are still operational and all videos are streaming as usual but no new episodes have been posted. All of Gogoanime's sister sites (movie/series, dramacool, russian drama etc.) are down or not updating (part of the vidstreaming network). Gogotaku.info (gogoanime.news) is up but some images are not loading. There is speculation that this means that Gogoanime is done for and unfortunately that's a likely scenario. However, until an official announcement is posted by the website operators or the domain is down for a long period of time we will continue to assume Gogoanime will come back.
The Telegram group is also shut down. The last word from an operator was on the 26th (2 days after the website stopped updating)." - post by Discord staff
Edit 3: Update - 1st of December (2024-12-01, 20:43 UTC+00:00)
"No words from operators however I wanted to address som speculation floating around here on Discord and Reddit about a supposed announcement by an operator. This is fake. First of all, a Gogoanime operator would never sign a message with their name, they've never done this before and it makes no sense to do this. Secondly, operators would never use a random down detector site to make announcements, it would be on official channels such as Discord, Reddit, Telegram or X.
I also wanted to clarify my role, I'm a Discord administrator assigned by the operators to steward the community. I have no involvement in the website itself but I will keep you all posted the second I receive new information." - post by Discord staff.

Bro please somebody say that anitaku is not taken down or anything because it's the only website i watch manhua and donghua from 😢😢. Also when it's gonna open again? anyone know?

Hi guys, it down? do you have any other alternative sites to watch anime?
No announcement from reddit, no announcement from discord, no announcement at all, not gonna believe that they are not slacking
I don't want to create a panic, because Anitaku or Gogo has taken such breaks in the past, have been using gogo quite soon from its inception, but it was mostly around for a day.
Another reason could be that, they might have taken a break, as Monday, apart from a few animes, Monday's are mostly quiet, It will be bad if this break extends to Sunday.
None of the New Episodes are updated . Whether sub or dub same isssue. What's happening?
Are there any safe / real gogo sights? The one I was using last is now inundated with popups and malware. I use a strong blocking program (adnausium) and it now goes on full alert when I open any gogo alternative address I can find.
