is Vitamix Explorian Series E310 a good purchase?
Does anyone have this blender? I would like one that last a long time I am sick of buying a cheap one every 2 to 3 years. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated.

We've got that exact model, and we've had it for about 5 years or so. My wife swears by Vitamix now. It's about the only brand she's loyal to. Edit: she's also loyal to Volvo cars, but the topic doesn't come up much.
The E310 doesn't have all the pre-programmed features of the other models, but we prefer it that way.
That's the length of the warranty — 5 years. I'm really curious how long they last before they stop working.
Half a decade guarantee is pretty nice, but you hear about people who've had blenders from the eighties still going strong.
look for a used 5200. even on eBay. 5200s are consistently ranted higher than the Explorian. the manufacturer date is clearly printed on the model label, so look for that and try to find one from the last 5-7 years.
Yes it is great, love mine. However I don’t do complicated stuff with it
Yeah, I reckon it's when people try to blend stuff it's not rated to blend/handle that the appliance starts to suffer.
If you put Vitamix into the search engine here, it will cause a stack overflow and crash reddit for 5 years. I'm pretty sure we've talked about this Graham's Number of times.
Yes. And all their consumer blenders have the same motors so it’s just the bells and whistlers you are paying for. It will probably be the last blender you need to buy.
How long do they last? Decades?
