I'm using the KitchenAid attachment. No reason not to do so. There are two different types. I have the one that makes stretchy dough. There's also an extruder.
My parents gifted me an Ampia manual roller machine many years ago. I has served me well for ravioli, spaghetti, and linguini
I'd suggest the Marcato Atlas 150 over the Ampia. The Atlas 150 allows you to buy attachments for cutting different types of pasta, and comes stock with the roller and an attachment for 2 types of pasta. You can also buy the same attachments, including the roller, for your kitchen aid.
Still using an Imperia that I've had for a very, very, very, very long time.

As much as I loathe the KitchenAid Pasta Press (extruder) the KitchenAid Pasta Rollers are just brilliant. They're made by Marcato for KitchenAid and are as solid as their other machines.
If you already have a KitchenAid then I'd recommend these.
marcato atlas 150....mine is even made in Italy....but not sure if that's still a thing...
