- For the Grineer units, see Regulator.
The Regulators are Mesa and
Mesa Prime's signature Exalted Weapon, summoned by activating the ability
Peacemaker. Unlike other ranged weapons, the rapid-firing Regulators will automatically target and shoot at enemies within a large aiming circle directed by the player, removing the need for precise aim.
Refer to the weapon's ability page for a list of mods that affect the weapon.
Characteristics[]
- This weapon deals primarily
Impact damage.
- Innate two
and one
polarities.
Advantages
- Very high critical chance and critical multiplier.
- Very high fire rate.
- Innate damage bonus that stacks with damage mods.
- Damage and fire rate ramp up per shots fired.
- See
Peacemaker for more details regarding damage bonus and bonuses per shots fired.
- See
- Pinpoint accuracy.
- Has infinite ammunition and does not need to reload.
Disadvantages
- Low status chance.
- Limited range of 50 meters.
- Restricted method of aiming.
- User cannot move while active unless equipped with
Mesa's Waltz.
- No zoom, thus cannot benefit from
Embedded Catalyzer,
Hydraulic Crosshairs,
Pressurized Magazine,
Sharpened Bullets,
Spry Sights, or
Targeting Subsystem.
- Requires energy to activate and keep active.
- As Exalted Weapon, it cannot benefit from, nor contribute to the set bonus of any Set Mods.
- Cannot equip pistol range mods (e.g.,
Ruinous Extension), Acolyte Mods (e.g.,
Sharpened Bullets) or Amalgam Mods (e.g.,
Amalgam Barrel Diffusion).
- This includes mods based on Acolyte mods, such as
Galvanized Crosshairs.
- This includes mods based on Acolyte mods, such as
- Does not have an Exilus slot.
- Cannot equip Secondary Arcane Enhancements.
Notes[]
- The Regulators appear in the Arsenal after unlocking Mesa's
Peacemaker ability.
- The displayed damage number of 125 in the Arsenal is the Regulators' base damage of 50 boosted by Peacemaker's innate +150% damage bonus.
- This damage bonus is affected by Ability Strength.
- When in the Simulacrum, the arsenal display may be glitched and instead show the Regulators' damage without the multiplier.
- The ammunition related statistics displayed (such as magazine size, ammunition pool and reload speed) are merely a technical formality of the stat preview screen as the weapon actually consumes 0 bullets per shot, thus allowing infinite ammo economy.
- As an Exalted Weapon, this weapon comes with an
Orokin Catalyst pre-installed.
- Being dual pistols, the Furax exclusive
Amalgam Furax Body Count's fire rate boost works with the Regulators.
- While having a low status chance, Mesa's Regulators' high fire rate makes it very likely that the Slash status will proc from
Hemorrhage.
Trivia[]
- The name of the Regulators might be a reference to the Regulators, a posse from the American Old West said to have been co-founded by Billy the Kid.
- Before the introduction of moddable Exalted Weapons, the stats of Regulators were affected by the mods equipped on the player's Secondary weapon.
- Regulators have an alternate skin available for them in the form of the Regulators Presidio Skin that players can equip if they own the Mesa Presidio Skin.
- The Regulators Presidio Skin can be equipped regardless of whether or not the Mesa Presidio Skin is equipped.
- On
Mesa Prime, the pistols are named
Regulators Prime. Their stats are, however, identical to Regulators.

Patch History[]
Update 29.5 (2020-11-19)
- Fixed de-equipping a Scanner not returning you to your active Exalted weapon if one was equipped prior.
Hotfix 29.1.1 (2020-09-18)
- Fixes towards Exalted weapons not being equipped when viewed via Look Link or Mod Link.
Update 23.8 (2018-09-12)
- Removed ability to unintentionally equip Hydraulic Crosshairs and Sharpened Bullets on Mesa’s Regulators. Although the buff appeared to trigger, it never actually applied due to the "on aim" criteria not being fulfilled (unless you had a very specific loadout with the Mesa Waltz Augment equipped).
Hotfix 23.0.4 (2018-06-20)
- Fixed Mesa Regulator upgrades being applied twice for Clients.
Update 23.0 (2018-06-15)

Man they really need to allow changing the look of the prime regulators into the non-prime version. The overly embellished revolver clashes hard with simple fashions for Mesa herself.
Fire rate got nerf ?
It’s seems so
It went from 14.8 to 5.37 I think
They change it back to 14.8
they kinda look like
https://hellsing.fandom.com/wiki/Hellsing_Combat_Pistol_%22Jackal%22
also remind me of ebony and ivory from dmc
Crimson Shards can increase your critical chance with regulators!
The notes section mentions arsenal stats that have no affect on the regulators. Should punch through be included?
Sure why not.
I would like to have the ability to change the look of the Regulators Prime back to the Regulators its fashion frame. Everyone should be able to change things to the way they like them.
If Wukong can, why can't Mesa not be able to change too, right?
Might wanna add a Bit on info for the Trivia, the Mesa's Projectilyst skin are the Regulators Skin for it too
Are Regulators effected by Pistol Amp Aura?
Yes, but it's like the absolute worst weapon in the entire game to use pistol amp with, because the peacemaker ability gives it a damage bonus that stacks additively with +damage mods. And pistol amp is already a very weak bonus to begin with.
It's cool how her fingers are part of the barrels and her thumbs are the hammers, the pistols are basically a pair of tubes that she sticks her finger in to shot bullets out of
Do invigorations from the helminth like secondary dmg buff affect regulators/ regulators prime?
Yes
Are these affected by Void damage's status effect, Bullet Attractor, or by Scourge's headshot bubbles?
I can now confirm it does NOT work with Scourge, as I tested it about 5 minutes ago. I think this might be due to the weapon treating its shots less like bullets and more like instantaneous instances of damage that occur immediately upon release, rather than being hitscan or projectiles.
"instantaneous instances of damage that occur immediately on release" is the definition of hitscan, mate
Hitscan damage sources traces a line directly to the object and if something is in the way without the source having a way to get through it, it will stop. Regulators use different LoS rules than most hitscan attacks, allowing it to penetrate Frost bubbles and ignore magnetic fields.
Mesa teleports bullets to enemy center directly.
Does Mirage Eclipse work with Regulators? Is it worth it or rather go for something like Roar or Pillage?
Yea it applies.
On Mesa, Eclipse might actually be a good choice, as she can have the luxury of standing in a light spot and shooting from there.
If you want a consistent damage buff that also works in dark maps, you get Roar.
(Although Mesa might not even need extra damage that much.)
Pillage and Fire Blast feel a bit slow, as they require you to disable the 4. Can work in mobile missions, but a bit more annoying in defense missions imo.
Xata's Whisper is a good choice in case you use Mesa to farm Sentients.
Dispensary if you want to go full camping.
Awesome thanks :)
For those unaware, base damage mods on these are totally worthless as Mesa already gains base damage as he ramps up. Even with Umbral Intensify, you can get 216% base damage once fully ramped up.
she*
I'm stupid.
Gender doesn't mattern it's a battle armor ^^
You're sure the base damage mods don't stack with the level damage bonus?
By any chance, is there a way to use the Regulators as your secondary weapon?
No
One time it bugged for me so i was running with them using as a secondary weapon, but not costing me any energy.
Yea bugging with k-drive
Is it just me, or do these guns look kind of like the Cerberus handguns from Gungrave?
can someone teach me what to press if i use MESA's regulator , im using Pc
Step 1: Press 4.
Step 2: Aim at enemy.
Step 3: Hold left mouse button until enemy is ded.
Step 4: Press 4 again to disable and collect profit.
Center screen thing you want to make dead and hold M1.
Just bought primed pistol gambit from baro. Can't wait till my mesa is built :3
hows your mesa doing now?
Not OP but pretty good
"Currently, Regulators are the only Exalted Weapon that have an alternate skin available for them in the form of the Regulators Presidio Skin that players can equip if they own the Mesa Presidio Skin." No longer true with the Wukong Samadhi Staff Skin.
Does the magnum force mod (which gives + 165% damage and -55% accuracy) apply the accuracy penalty to the regulators?
No, regulators have pinpoint accuracy and its not affected by those kinds of penalties. However, after testing magnum force I only got ~250 overall dmg gain, while using a 90% elemental mod went up to ~650 dmg, so better stack elemental mods and forget about magnum force.
Sadly, since the first Buried Debts update, they don't trigger Arcane Velocity anymore. Hopefully that is not intentional.
