Trivia[]
- Bears a close resemblance to medieval Flails.
- The head's blades open up if the blocking button is pressed while the Atterax is equipped, and fold inside again after one strike. It is unknown if this is beneficial to its stats in any way.
- The Grineer writing on both the handguard and hilt, while very hard to make out, seems to say "
" which translates to "MEAT BLENDER".
- This weapon seems to share a base color scheme with Executioner Harkonar, which implies that this is one of the weapons produced in the Harkonar Production Zone as stated in Executioner Harkonar's Codex Entry.
- Darvo uses the Atterax for plumbing.

"I used to ruuuule the world..."
Looking at the patch notes for whips, seems the biggest reason they fell off was the follow-through change. 0.8->0.5 is a massive difference for group clearing.
It was the change from slide attack meta after the nerfs to maiming strike.
I remember, hours survival mission with immortal build Wukong and this badboi here. It was totally braindead gameplay but it was also survive and chill with the bois. What a legend.
legendary weapon
This was the shit back in the days.... 1 million damage per slide attack.
Is this the only Harkonar melee?
I wish they buff this alittle more like 30% crit and alittle more like 10% more damage
This weapon is completely held back by the bad whip stances. If DE could release a better whip stance, this weapon would be crazy good.
Even with a good whip stance, that very low 129 base damage might really hurt its chances, unless the stance happens to have some stupid good multipliers
Tried spamming heavy attacks in sanctuary onslaught, they seem ok but secura lecta felt better despite not being as crit focused, maybe verdilac could be good due to decent stats and better heavy attack, hit boxes seem a bit odd though.
I wish It had the regular whip idle animation instead of the sword animation. Because uhh ITS A WHIP. and I like it in general
As you can see in the trivia and other weapon/accessories
This weapon was made by the Harkonar Production Zone,
Wish we could see all the different weapon manufacturers
For the Grineer and Corpus, you see so many signature
Designs that they do on their weapons and armour.
Need a list or somthing from DE
Very awkward stances for an otherwise good weapon
Would this be mastery fodder or a good weapon worth investing forma into
Its the best Whip that we currently have. But we also don't have a prime whip yet.
Theoretically a good weapon, but the stances are horrible, making normal attack builds severely underperform.
It does make a passable Heavy Attack weapon though, as whips have forced slash procs on heavy attack. Not as good as Pennant, but good enough.
Edit: its also still totally viable as a sliding attack spam weapon to bypass the terrible stances.
90% Slash and 20% base status chance means 108% total status chance, giving you a very high chance to proc slash on each hit when built for pure slash.
Blender on a string
with a crit buld pretty good. The stances arent great though.
Is this weapon still good for focus farming?
2 years too late
Praise DE for nerfing this dogshit weapon
spin to win still works, lol
How did they nerf it? you just don't need maiming strike anymore
Basically still the same movement, but with different numbers. lmao
Praise DE for nerfing this dogshit weapon
so glad DE nerfed maiming strike and indirectly nerfed this weapon too, atleast they got one thing right
Still borderline broken.
Right, now it's strong without maiming strike
Condition Overload, Primed Reach, Blood Rush, Weeping Wounds, Organ Shatter, Berserker, Gladiator Might, Gladiator Rush.
(gonna guess thats for proccing slash with slide attacks)
I'd probably advise against Condition Overload with that build. While true, you will proc Slash+Impact on Slide attack, making subsequent slide attacks stronger, is it really worth making the first hit that much weaker? You'll only be able to get 2 status effects reliably without outside help.
My point of using this build is not for oneshotting but bleeding proc build, just reaching 12x/220 as fast as i can, so both normal spam E or spin2win works since this build can guarantee status proc from 11x/200. I'm just currently testing this build on steel path so if i can utilize Atterax's power after maiming nerf. sure, this build sucks if you did not stack combo properly. but when you reach 12x, you can proc slash tick like 3k~12k. I once thought putting viral instead of GM+WW tho.
use kuva nukor to apply viral to a group in less than 2 sec and one hit with a melee weapon is enough to kill steel path enemies. all this build nonesense is overthinking it.
DE made sure to make this as braindead as possible, instead of us having 3 viable builds now we only have viral and slash
may this godawful dipshit of a weapon never see the light of day again
