The Staticor is a set of Corpus gauntlets firing fast-moving energy bolts when uncharged which explode upon hitting a surface, an enemy or after some time, dealing
Radiation damage in an area of effect. The weapon can also be charged to fire a slow-moving and powerful bolt with a much wider explosion radius.
Characteristics[]
- This weapon deals
Radiation damage.
- Uncharged shot explode in a 2.4 meter radius on impact with a surface or enemy.
- Initial hit and explosion apply status separately.
- Explosion does not need direct line of sight to deal damage and will penetrate walls.
- Shots can be charged for a cost of 5 ammo by holding down the primary fire button, increasing the explosion radius to 9.6 meters damage by 20%.
- Holding a fully-charged shot will consume 1 ammo per second.
- While charging a shot, coming into direct contact with an enemy will discharge the shot, that functions like a normal shot while also applying a knockdown; preventing the weapon from charging again as long as the enemy is in contact. This includes being stuck with a Latcher, or coming into contact with an enemy during its death animation should one occur.
- Can benefit from
Fulmination (
Primed).
Advantages over other Secondary weapons (excluding modular weapons):
- Above average critical multiplier.
- Very high status chance. Innate
Radiation confuses enemies and makes them indiscriminately attack each other.
- Ammo efficient.
- Uncharged Projectile (wiki attack index 1)
- High magazine (48)
- High ammo max (288)
- Above average status chance (28.00%)
- Above average crit multiplier (2.20x)
- Uncharged Explosion (wiki attack index 2)
- High magazine (48)
- Above average fire rate (3.50 attacks/sec)
- High ammo max (288)
- Above average status chance (28.00%)
- Fully Charged Projectile (wiki attack index 3)
- High magazine (48)
- Above average ammo max (288)
- Fully Charged Explosion (wiki attack index 4)
- Above average reload speed (1.50 s)
Disadvantages over other Secondary weapons (excluding modular weapons):
- Uncharged projectiles have significant travel time, and has a limited max range of 75 meters. The range of the shots can be increased with Projectile Speed mods however.
- All explosions inflicts self-stagger
- All explosions have a headshot multiplier of 1x and cannot trigger headshot conditions.
- Explosion has linear Damage Falloff from:
- 100% to 70% from central impact on uncharged shots.
- 100% to 10% from central impact on fully charged shots.
- Uncharged Projectile (wiki attack index 1)
- Below average crit chance (14.00%)
- Below average total damage (44)
- Below average fire rate (3.50 attacks/sec)
- Very low disposition (●●○○○ (0.85x))
- Uncharged Explosion (wiki attack index 2)
- Very low active falloff slope (8.0m/%)
- Very low crit chance (0.00%)
- Very low maximum falloff distance (2.4 m)
- Below average total damage (88)
- Very low disposition (●●○○○ (0.85x))
- Very low crit multiplier (1.00x)
- Fully Charged Projectile (wiki attack index 3)
- Low crit chance (14.00%)
- Very low total damage (44)
- Below average disposition (●●○○○ (0.85x))
- Fully Charged Explosion (wiki attack index 4)
- Low crit chance (14.00%)
- Low disposition (●●○○○ (0.85x))
- Below average crit multiplier (2.20x)

Notes[]
- The Staticor's combat animation set is similar to those of thrown weapons such as the
Kunai.
- As with most ranged weapons that can charge their shots, the Staticor's charge can be canceled by pressing the Reload key/button, refunding any ammunition used during the charge. However, any ammunition expended while overcharging a shot will not be returned.
- Charging a shot consumes 5 rounds of ammunition.
Tips[]
- Due to the weapon's Projectile Speed, consider aiming at a nearby surface rather than an enemy directly.
Lethal Momentum would help to counteract the Staticor's slow Projectile Speed. Use in conjunction with the
Jet Stream augment to further increase Projectile Speed.
- Charged shots can be controlled with
Navigator, increasing their velocity and granting bonus damage.
- (
Primed)
Fulmination can be equipped to increase the Staticor's area-of-effect radius. Increasing fire rate and Multishot turns it into a powerful crowd-clearing weapon as shots can be charged and released rapidly for maximum coverage.
Magnum Force can assist with crowd-clearing capabilities at the cost of long range accuracy, though this is of minimal impact due to the projectiles' slow speed already making it difficult to land shots at distance.
Trivia[]
- Not only is the Staticor similar in function to the
Sonicor, both weapons were manufactured by the Corpus. This is unique in this fact as normally another faction develops a weapon that mimics another, it rarely ever is produced by the same faction. However, this can be explained by the fact that the Corpus as a faction isn't a singular organization, but rather several organizations (one of which is Anyo Corp) who may compete with each other.
- The Staticor is the first weapon to use ammo while holding a fully-charged shot. The only similar comparison would be the
Convectrix which uses ammo as long as the beams are present, whether firing or not.
- If the player reloads before a shot is fully charged, ammo being used for the charge will be refunded.
- This is the second weapon in Energy Lab whose duplication costs
50,000, after the
Amprex.
- The Corpus writing (
) on the Staticor's case translates to "Force 0110".
- The last 4 numbers could be Binary for 6, given the lack of numbers in the Corpus Language aside from 1 and 0.
- The Staticor is the only weapon in Warframe besides melee weapons that has a specific animation separate that plays regardless of the players' idle animations
- The Staticor's damage in Conclave is
Electricity damage.
Bugs[]
- Rarely you can get unable to charge the weapon during a mission. In addition and from the looks, most of your (uncharged) shots will explode in your warframe's arm. Very few shots will still be able to get fired "outside of your arm" normally. This however does not prevent you from dealing damage with every shot in close combat, as the explosion will trigger around your warframe. Once this bug occurs, it may stay for the rest of the mission.
- The explosion appears much smaller that its real area of effect.

Patch History[]
Hotfix 37.0.4 (2024-10-10)
- Fixes toward the Staticor not consuming/requiring ammo.
- Note: While we fixed the issue of it not consuming ammo, we need to wait for the 1999 Update to make a full and permanent fix since it requires code (more information on that here). For the time being we have made the following changes as a temporary fix. These will be reverted with the 1999 update to restore Staticor to its intended state.
- Staticor will consume ammo when firing rather than when charging.
- Staticor will not consume ammo while holding a full charge.
- You may see Staticor consume more than 1 round of ammo even if you tap quickly.
Update 33.0 (2023-04-26)
- Fixed only firing the Staticor with one hand as opposed to the intentional two hands.
Update 32.0 (2022-09-07)
- Ammo Changes
We understand the power fantasy of these weapons is very popular for some, so our first approach was to keep them powerful, but limit how often they can be used by making changes to ammo pick-up.
Ammo Pickup Overrides
The following weapons now have ammo pickup overrides, meaning they gain less from picking up ammo. This mostly applies to AoE weapons, in hopes that players will become more deliberate with their aim to make the most of their Ammo pools. The following lists the specific ammo pick up overrides per weapon category.
Secondary Weapon Ammo Pick Up Overrides
20 Ammo per Pick Up:
- Staticor
- Headshot Damage Changes
During playtesting, the ammo changes alone weren’t enough to significantly change things for AoE weapons. So instead of tightening these values to be overly restrictive, we chose to address other factors that make these weapons so strong, such as headshot damage.
Our approach here is two-fold, to reduce the impact of headshots for AOE weapons, but to also make precision headshots pack a larger punch overall.
- Radial damage no longer gains extra headshot damage or triggers headshot conditions.
- This is primarily targeted at the Ignis Wraith - as a “flamethrower” weapon, it’s hard to imagine a blanket of elements being precise enough to target weak points specifically. Explosive projectiles themselves can still land headshots, so there is still a reason to aim with most weapons for maximum damage.
Hotfix 27.2.2 (2020-03-06)
Reduced the following AoE weapons Radial Damage Falloff from central impact that were all previously 90%:
- Staticor: 30% / Alt Fire 90%
Update 27.2 (2020-03-05)
- Self Damage Changes
We are getting rid of Self Damage and replacing it with something else: instead of Self Damage, it’s now ‘Stagger’. This change completely removes the chance of killing yourself, and instead now creates scenarios where you will interrupt yourself - or ‘Stagger’ - to varying degrees if you aren’t careful.
The degrees of Self-Interrupt start with a small stumble all the way to full knockdown depending on how close you are to the center of explosion. Any Mods referring to Self Damage will be converted to acknowledge Stagger.
With this Self-Interrupt system, we have added dozens of new recovery animations that harness a ninja-like recovery experience. By pressing ‘Jump’ at the correct time, you can execute a ninja-skill-based knockdown recovery to ALL in-game knockdowns. This ninja recovery window is indicated by a glowing FX on your Warframe.
In addition to Self Damage being removed, some of the more powerful AOE weapons without Self Damage presently will have the Stagger added, but it should only be noticeable in cases of extreme inaccuracy on the player’s part. The Weapons include:
- Staticor
In the original Dev Workshop, we said:
As a result of this overall systemic change, Weapons with Stagger will be getting approximately a 20% buff in Damage, with any weapons with AOE receiving a 50% Radial Damage Falloff from central impact.
This is no longer accurate after continued testing. What we are doing now is:
No damage buffs have been added, but any weapons with AOE are receiving ~20% increase in Radius. Additionally, AOE weapons are receiving a 90% Radial Damage Falloff from central impact. This means on the very outer section of the explosion Radius 10% of the Damage will be dealt. Tactics will be deadly - aim true, Tenno.
Why: Several players brought up the history of the Tonkor and we want to make sure we ship this change in a place that’s conservative in its starting point from a balance perspective. The complete removal of Self Damage does change the pace of destruction with some of the game’s most powerful weapons, so we want to make sure we can iterate upwardly instead of releasing a bonanza of explosions with no other choices.
Hotfix 27.0.10 (2020-01-11)
- Fixed seeing a distorted flat circle on the Staticor explosion (and radiation areas).
Update 24.6 (2019-04-04)
- Optimizations towards Mirage Hall of Mirrors projectile FX for Staticor that was causing crashes.
Hotfix 24.2.4 (2018-12-19)
- Removed the self-damage from the Staticor Charged Shot.
Update 24.2 (2018-12-18)
- Quick fire area-of-effect returned to 2m as intended.
- Charged fire Projectile Speed increased.
- Mag size increased from 45 to 48.
- Ammo capacity increased from 270 to 288.

Contender for longest stat page in warframe full of nonsense.
Cool gun, awful DPS. That AoE though... I might come back to this whenever I get a maxed secondary encumber.
Please bring staticor back. Since i saw that gun it was my only point to get it and also make best riven mods for staticor but for like 3 years its nerfed. Shame... i didnt miss the game i missed the staticor man... i had 200 hour and half of my hour was for staticor no cap.
Staticor is actually still quite good. Like all things in Warframe, it's about using it right. A charged shot with Primed Fulmination can clear hallways in a single blow.
Staticor only really suffers against flyers in the open world maps (but then, so do half the weapons in the game.) It's still bae against everything else.
Staticor was and still is one of my favorite weapons, and I have to say the charged shot specifically is the part that's aged the worst. It gets hit so hard by SP armor and shield modifiers compared to light shot spam, which are still good but they've been powercrept pretty hard and run out of ammo surprisingly fast against tough enemies. The weapon as a whole just doesn't quiiiiite hold up in the kind of content we have now, though it's still usable and to me very fun.
I'm not asking for it to be the secret best secondary in the game again, but I'd love to see it get a Tenet variation that improves on its limitations (crit stats that aren't quite good enough to support a build, low impact on the fully charged shot against armored enemies, and lacking mod capacity to fit all the expensive primed secondary mods). And for the love of god, drop secondary Cautious Shot ASAP, with Primed Fulmination equipped the charged shots can stagger the player from 20 meters away!
"but they've been powercrept pretty hard" Yup
I'd love this weapon alot more if it didn't look so goofy with it's firing animation
True
This weapon is surprisingly OK. I mean it's not good, but I was expecting awful and it's only mediocre. The insanely large blast radius on the charged shot seems potentially useful for meme builds. Is there even a weapon with a higher base AoE range?
Nope, bramma had a 8.3m with 90% falloff while this have a 9.6m with also 90% falloff, its essentially a 15.93m of explosion on staticor,
"The Staticor is the only weapon in Warframe besides melee weapons that has a specific animation separate that plays regardless of the players' idle animations"
Correct me if I am wrong, but doesn't this weapon use the throwing knives animation ?
"Fully-charged shots quadruple its damage"
?
(44)88 vs (44)108 is not a quadrupling obviously but there's probably something I'm missing.
Btw if u use it with ivara’s navigator ability with charged or non charged shot then it’s shot looks like a planet with a ring around it.
Think that's called Saturn . .
Not all planets with rings around them are called Saturn you headass. There are planets outside of our solar sytem. Also, all of our gas giants have rings.
Using this with Gauss is definitely one of the best feeling i have ever experienced in this game, just rush into a group and spam charged attacks. Highly recommend this if you have ways to not get knocked down.
Doesn't Gauss kinetic shield protect you from any knockdown
I think that's what they meant... omygod.
The power of strapping two Duracell batteries to your hands.
You can't top the copper top.
This is my mastery farming weapon. I have yet to find anything that melts enemies as fast as my my 5 forma staticor with dam+fire rate riv. This the weapon that has people ask you to stop firing, so they can actually do something.
FYI- The actual build I use is Lethal Momentum(projectile speed adds range as well), Augur Pact(dam), 2 pure elements(you'll have plenty of procs) barrel diffusion(multishot), lethal torrent(fire rate, multishot), element+status chance, dam+fire rate riven. I also throw pistol aura(dam) on every frame.
Laugh in bramma/zarr/ogris/moonlacer/bubonico.
Nope, its range even outshines them, if amalgam furax body count and primed firestorm/fulmination was applied:
bramma [13.78m]
Kuva zarr [13.02m]
Kuva Orgis [14.69m]
Staticor [15.93m]
Bubonico [11.62m]
Sporelacer secondary [7.8m]
And it was a god damm secondary weapon. Can expect your teammates to tell u to stop firing due to disguting amounts of range and they can just go afk.....
MR 30, I have ignored this weapon for ages, recently found a good niche use for it. Arguably OP.
How are you dealing with selfstagger which on this weapon is an issue because the range on it is limited?
Primed sure footed or any kind of status immunity
Hadouken
Really wanted to like this 2ndary but any melee from an enemy will break your charge and staticor without charge is not any better than other 2ndaries. Very situational: nice for crowds of enemies but that crowd cannot be too close or you wont be able to apply a charge. adding range and no charge can be useful for distant attacks but with projectile falloff it is not accurate at range. It is afterall a grenade launcher so I see why these limitations exist but there are better 2ndaries. Even with furax amalgam and firestorm not impressed with blast radius to use up so many mod slots to get a few meters more of radius. Oh and there's self-stagger on top of all that.
Does Furax amalgam work on it? It's not listed on the page of the mod.
Oof staticor got hit hard, its basically more better to use stug now which i cant believe i even said LOL.
De is mentally retarded lmfao
what? how in the heck could you come to taht conclusion? did you get confused by the new way the damage is displayed?
How so? They decreased falloff damage coming from the center of the EXPLOSION that the projectile. The projectile itself should is 44dmg with no falloff, charged or uncharged. The fall-off only occurs after the projectile hits. After that, the CENTER of the explosion does more damage than OUTSKIRTS (which is true for man-made explosives but not hurricanes or tornadoes lol) They also increased the radius of the explosion, which decreases the rate of change (the slope) of the fallout damage. I doubt that "balanced" things but that's just my hypothesis. you have to take into account all the variables - fall-off distance and the increased radius. Maybe I'll calculate the changes in slope later.
Oh okay never mind I just recalculated ratios. Let's use 8m as the independent variable, the radius before the change, noting that it used to do full damage at that 8m.
With the change, at 8m, you're doing 25% damage. Falloff at the edge of 9.6m is a 90% decrease to 10%. Assuming linearly, 8m/9.6m = 0.8333 repeating (or ~83.333%) Since the falloff is 90% and not 100%, 83.333..% of 90% is 75%. That means, at the previous 8m radius, you are doing 100%-75% = 25% damage.
Moreover, right now the charged explosion does 10% damage 9.6m away from the center. Before the change, the charged explosion did 0% damage 9.6m away from the center.
I forgot to also note: It's a radial explosion. A 20% increase in radius = a 44% increase in AREA (A= π r2).
There's a LOT to take into account becuase the increasing radius simultaneously with introducing AOE falloff is almost a change in mechanics.
If anythig, it's the change in Blast procs that screws that up for me, as I liked to use Staticor as "air support" in PoE/Fortuna, knocking enemies down.
Oh wait.. Actually I haven't used the Staticor for a long time because it was too powerful and boring lolol
Unmodded Staticor shows 44 dmg for the actual bullet. That's fine. But it shows 9.60m range and 106 damage for the radial attack. That is neither the information we can see here for uncharged explosions nor for fully charged explosions.
I've tested them on crawlers with no mods so I shouldn't deal any extra or less damage. Uncharged explosions (tapping the fire button) right next to the enemy appear to deal 86-88 damage. Direct hits appear to deal two damage instances with around 110 and 55 damage. Those numbers vary between ~100-110 and ~50-55. I've tried to not move the mouse while shooting them to make sure that I always hit the same spot.
Fully charged direct hits appear to have 3 damage instances. Mostly 2x ~424 and 1x ~176. Those first two numbers also seem to vary. Sometimes at a wider range of around -100 damage. Fully charged radial attacks right next to the enemy appear to deal around 390 at max.
The 9.6m range appears to be only for fully charged shots (like expected). Tested with a waypoint marker it appears to be around 11m tho.
Can anyone confirm this?
The Staticor has an Alt Fire? The more you know..
alt fire is the charged shot
> Tap-fired explosions have linear damage falloff from 100% to 70% from central impact.
> Fully charged explosions have linear damage falloff from 100% to 10% from central impact.
From this page. I wonder how much Fulmination improves full charged explosions.
RIP Staticor.
No longer will I be able to zoom through a level as Volt while continuously blasting a 8m radius around myself.
It has become borderline unusable now, you definitely want open areas to use it properly. If you shoot at anything closer than 12 meters, you're getting staggered. Closer than 11 meters and you're thrown off your feet, staggered for 3 seconds. Enough to be obliterated by the enemies that now survive your charged shots because of the insane damage falloff.
Maybe DE should take lessons from Cephalon Simaris about efficiently killing enemies.
Got Staticor today. Love it so far. Use Rhino or Atlas. Boom, no stagger, no being knocked off your feet. Or even better: Use it while wall latching (Ivara, Loki)...
Maybe I'm weird, but I actually like the taser feature as a means of knocking down enemies. Opens the big guys up for finishers.
If you're going to add stagger for it being too close REMOVE THE LIMITED RANGE YOU NUMPTIES.
