- For the original Loid found in the Albrecht's Laboratories, see Loid (Original).
Loid is the representative of the Necraloid syndicate within the Necralisk on Deimos. He is a construct, made by Albrecht Entrati, who is integrated into a Necraloid along with Otak, serving as a loyal, life-long servant to the Entrati family. He is located in the backroom and sells Necramech parts and weapons.
To interact with Loid, the player must complete Heart of Deimos and The War Within. The backdoor at the northernmost part of the Necralisk will only open for the Operator, where Loid handles all interactions with the Necraloid, until the initiation of The Kalymos Sequence after Whispers in the Walls enables Warframes to pass through unhindered.
Lore & History[]
General[]
Loid is a Necraloid, an ancient Orokin construct similar to a Cephalon. He introduces himself to the Tenno as "Cephalon Servant to House Entrati". He was created by Albrecht Entrati to provide loyal service to his family. Sometime after he was created, Loid would come across Otak— or what was left of him— and upload the rest of his intellect into his Necraloid shell, essentially sharing his body with him.
Due to incomplete defragmentation of Otak's personality matrix, Otak is prone to making erratic and whimsical remarks.
The Infestation of Deimos[]
Transcripts of Unauthorized Broadcasts[]
In the lead-up to TennoCon 2023, Nora Night, during a slow and uneventful night, finally decides to open her own call line, conversing with three unknown callers over the course of three days.
Transmission Origin: [CRITICAL ERROR] / Time Since Intercept - 9 Hours[]
The third caller is Loid (wishing to remain anonymous, he instead uses the name "Bones".) He states that something not intended to happen to his kind has occurred, and that he feels compelled to share it, but doesn't know who to share it with. Loid then reveals that his partner, presumably Otak, has abruptly gone missing, and that he is now alone. Nora attempts to console Loid, asking if there is anyone he can ask for help. Loid then realizes that they both know someone capable of dealing with the unknown, and states that they must be summoned immediately.
Whispers in the Walls[]
The original Loid, awoken during the Whispers in the Walls expansion.
Due to growing threat of The Indifference, Loid awakens a hidden precept known as The Kalymos Sequence. He leads the Tenno beneath the Necralisk into Sanctum Anatomica and Albrecht's Laboratories. There they awaken the Sleeper, revealed to be the original, human Loid; the Necraloid Loid was created to assist and accompany the original.
The human Loid eventually has Necraloid Loid sent away to keep the Entrati family unaware of the transpiring events.
After completing the quest and talking to the Necraloid Loid, he occasionally asks about the process of the Kalymos Sequence, and implied that he had forced Otak into slumber to keep him away from the labs and potentially hurting him, rather than abruptly gone missing as he stated to Nora Night in the broadcast.
Wares[]
Trivia[]
- Loid is the only NPC in Necralisk who doesn't have his own Entrati Family Token, presumably due to him being his own syndicate instead of a member of the Entrati syndicate.
- Loid (and Otak) are the second NPC to have a companion skin, the first of which being Ordis.

Okay so where is he? Some basic information would be nice.
Fast travel to him is the easiest way
Hey, I've been thinking "what if Loid is a girl" what people might view Loid girl as sassily hot? or maybe Tsundere Maid?
Well, I want to know what you guys think about his attitude when compare it if he was a girl...
But one thing I'm sure, if Loid was a girl, Albrecht would be long dead, either by Loid or his wife.
Whispers to My Loid.
Can someone please fix the "The Human counter-part of Loid, appears to have romantic feelings for Albrecht Entrati, whether he is Gay is unknown, but it appears that Albrecht himself is Bi-sexual because he has a biological daughter and his Wife : Grandmother stills talks about Albrecht with a positivity and a understanding of Loid's relationship with her Husband as he would spend long hours, weeks holed up in his laboratories with his personal assistant." because it's inaccurate, Grandmother is not Gomaitru/Mother's mom, she is Vilcor's mom, so she is not Albrecht's wife and isn't related to him by blood. We don't even know who his wife is (or IF he even had a wife to begin with) cus it is not mentioned.
(Ignore the related by blood thing Idk where that came from cus it doesn't make sense reading back on it now, I'm dumb)
XD
How are we gonna do Loid and Whispers in the Walls Loid? Make a separate page, but what do we call Other Loid?
Loid (Construct) would be best
Or just Loid, and this new guy is Flesh Loid. I prefer our usual Loid.
I assume any attempts to make a new page have been denied by mods
How about this: We leave Necraloid Loid as is and call original Loid as "Loid (Cavia)"? Or "Sleeper", since that's what Necraloid Loid initially calls him?
I'm surprised that Loid's original body still exists, from the way he talked I figured that skull in the machine was, you know, his? I thought the Necramechs were literally made using the corpses of former soldiers, Warhammer 40k Dreadnought style plugging them in to serve forever, kinda implied by the name.
What even more confusing is that this would mean that there are ways to create cephalons without glassing the dude, the loid we know may be a clone of the original loid, this could also imply that otak has his orginal somewhere
I assume that the skulls were a recurring visual motif but not necessarily indicative of someone's actual corpse, and Cyber-Loid isn't a True Cephalon like Otak (i.e. someone glassed to become a digital personality) but something different
Possibly a true artificial intelligence, a copy derived from a backed up conscious of Meat-Loid while the original still exists, like in SOMA. Given the reason why Cephalons were so common was because of the Orokins being (probably rightfully given the Sentient War) afraid of genuinely sentient artificial beings, and made sure their digital assistants were at least human-derived. Add in how dismissive Meat-Loid is of Cyber-Loid, plus Cyber-Loid being EXTREMELY distraught at the concept of him being able to "dream"... Cyber-Loid was never human at all, but basically Pinnochio'd his way into an identity (possibly assisted by having to share a brain case with Otak, a cephalon who was at some point human.
Probably Loid is just a copy of the original Loid's mind in that case
Loid gave me necromech :)
Wares list is much longer now.
Sacrifice list, anyone?
Its on the Necraloid syndicate page https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Necraloid
I wish you could make these guys the navigators instead of Lotus.
i know
If loid/otak could become the navigators i'd play the game with my headphones in alot more.
Lotus is like a ex-girlfriend which sometimes pops up randomly in your life.
hate how true this is
Is Loid a Cephalon? I thought he's a nacraloid, the Last necraloid to be precise (I assume it's completely different thing form Cephalons), and only shares his body with Cephalon Otak. Ether I or a person who wrote this page must have missed something.
I'm beginning to think "Necraloid" is the hardware while "Cephalon" is the software in this situation.
You have my thanks WarpFactor, it makes sense now.
Necraloid is actually the casing Loid and Otak are in. Making them can float around and protect them from Infestation
I am thinking they might used to have some kind of robotic body parts to combine with it too. Well, as they are the Entrati's servants they must capable of doing something other than just talking and flying around like flying Alexa.
Lest we avoid another Cephalon Jordas, they're kept in a Necraloid drone to keep them safe from the Infestation
He sounds so much like Peter Serafinowicz.
why do I see only Otak? o,o
I was wondering the same thing as well, and came here looking for answers. Whether or not the comment above mine has any bearing, I don't know. But what I do know is that, after finding no answers here, I just went back in and it dawned on me. I am now facepalming myself.
Think Little Duck.
After "fast traveling" to Loid, go into Operator form and the shimmering wall in front of you will disappear and reveal a doorway. Why nobody put it in the body of this page is beyond me. Unless I wasn't paying attention to the dialogue closely enough, it is not all that evident.
HTH!
^ you are amazing Mr/Ms 24/10/2020
Oh my god this did not dawn on me until I read the 10/24/2020 comment. Absolute life saver. That REALLY should be in the main text of the page!
Thank you so much. I was wondering why I couldn't enter the door :D
Fun trivia : Loid and Otak appearance resemble The mayor of Halloween Town from The nighmare before christmas in which the character often switching faces to represent his emotion
It is also slightly reminiscent of Good Cop from The Lego Movie, in particular the drawn-on version.
Is it just me, or does Loid kinda sound like Claptrap from borderlands (1 and 2)? Of course without all the effects added on top. I don't know how to find who's voice-acting him, but Loid gives me that vibe and I love it.
that's Otak
Ya, you're thinking of Otak. Loid sounds like Karstodes from If the Emperor Had a Text-to-Speech Device
Actually, I think Loid sounds a lot like Fletcher from Defense Grid... "The cores! They've taken the cores!!!"
But that was Jim Ward, not Kieran Flitton.
I guess it is just the post-processing that makes them sound so similar to me.
Man, I can never get the orokin ballistics matrix to spawn
Same! I have like 50 of the most common one and its the only one i have been able to really get.
Gotta get the Tier 2 and/or 3 Vaults in a single Worm Cycle, I think, which unfortunately requires visiting Mother at certain locations in the Drift without returning to Necralisk first.
