Notes[]
- Has no effect on Corrupted and Narmer Corpus (e.g. Corrupted Crewman, Narmer Crewman).
- Despite being listed as a multiplier, it will stack additively with other sources of Damage to Corpus.
- For example, if you had a Riven Mod with x0.5 Damage to Corpus and a max rank Bane of Corpus with x1.3 Damage to Corpus, you would have a 1 - 0.5 + 0.3 = x0.8 multiplier for damage against Corpus with both mods equipped.

Patch History[]
Update 34.0 (2023-10-18)
- Changed the Faction Damage Mod (includes Bane, Cleanse, Expel, Smite, Railjack, and Riven Faction Stats) descriptions to use multiplier instead of percentage based stat formatting. Damage values have not changed! Just the way they are communicated.
- For example: Smite Corpus (at max rank)
- Was: “+30% Damage to Corpus.”
- Now: “x1.3 Damage to Corpus.”
- This change better communicates how Faction Damage is calculated, since calculation occurs when you hit the enemy, as opposed to when you shoot like other damage sources (since it needs to know what Faction is being hit). For that reason, multipliers apply to final damage as a whole and not just part of the formula!
- For example: Smite Corpus (at max rank)
Update 29.10 (2021-03-19)
- Fixed the Bane Mods applying the increased Damage twice.
Update 9.0 (2013-07-13)
- 12x new Mods: Faction "Bane" (melee, pistol, shotgun, rifle).
- Introduced.

For Index, is this even worth it to replace with mods like raw/elemental damage, multishot or crits?
Typically you would replace this over Heavy Caliber in your builds (last mod slot is flex slot), since Serration, Multishot Mods(2), Crit Mods(2), Elementals (Typically 2), and then the last slot which you put in bane mods, and yes Bane Mods > Heavy Caliber. Stacking additive damage is meh.
does anyone know if bane of corpus works on amalgams?
Does this work on Combustion Beam?
How To Get All Faction Damage Mods
where can i find this mod?
Got this on J3 Golem, Themisto.
try scanning J3 Golem with Codex.
Just got mine in Xini. Can't tell if it's super rare, or some U10 loot table change.
confirming got it on the xini infested defence wave 3
Getting confusing with these mods. I thought they were useless my self but If it increaes base damage like serration doesn't that apply to all races and not just the one? if all elements get the base damage boost is the elemental boost against all or the one race? argh...
if it aint the faction the bonus is for then there is no bonus
Anyone konw where can getbane of corpus except in void?
found mine on the jupiter mission ananke. soooo happy.
Anyone know if these things work on the Corrupted, they look like Corpus w/shields and mini-Grineer.
I'm guessing not but if anyone knows for sure.
Well since they are corrupted Corpus and Grineer, I would still hope.
I wouldnt say so. The infested are just infected grineer and corprus, so if it did work on them id imagine it will on currupted. But im assuming it dosnt, so id say no
Where would this mod be best to be found? I've grinded Eris/Xini for days with no luck... :C
Yet Bane of Grineer/Infested have been found.
these drop in the void
They can also be a reward for nightmare missions
i've gotten one of these on a boss run, i believe it was jakel
Why would anyone use this mod. For the same price of 9 mod slots I get 30% corpus damage I can also get 90% rifle damage w/ Serration, 90% freeze damage with Cryo rounds, 60% armor piercing damage with Piercing Hit, and 60% elemental fire/elec damage with Hellfire or Stormbringer. This mod needs a buff to 10% per level otherwise its pretty useless.
Also elemental resists are different for each enemy race. Soooo swap out the ones that stink for the enemy, for it's race dmg mod ...
This increases base damage like Serration does, so all your elemental mods would do more damage as well. It's not useless at all.
^
the increase is after the elemental damage, so all of those are increased as well, been playing with it, shock/frost plus this on corpus is nuts.
Say you currently have 390% in all elemental damage mods combined, and have a slot open for one more mod. (Which is possible.) .3*3.9 = 1.17. In other words you are gaining 117% elemental damage on top of the 30% weapon damage from using the slot for this instead of another mod. That totals to 147% increase in damage for one mod slot. This certainly isn't the first mod you want to invest in or anything, because without high elemental % it isn't great, but it is more like good finishing touch on a nearly completely modded weapon.
With this mod, Corpus have your permission to die :3
