The Vapos Aquila is a Corpus fighter that is encountered in the Corpus Gas City.
Tactics[]
- They will spawn in certain open areas of the Gas City Tileset, and will open fire on any player it sees as it passes by.

- Any weapon that does
Radiation damage can easily deal with Vapos Aquilas.

- Helios can scan the Aquila, but it seems to be inconsistent as it flies fast and usually over 50 metres away, out of its range.
Trivia[]
- Aquila means "eagle" in Latin; in line with Corpus proxies generally having bird-themed names.
- The Aquila was the first Corpus Empyrean enemy players could encounter prior to Update 29.10.
- Compared to the Aquila's concept art, the Vapos Aquila lacks the attachments for different weapons, suggesting its blasters are the fighter's "standard" arsenal.
- Corpus Empyrean enemies such as the Basilisk, Harpi, and Weaver do feature the attachments shown in the concept art, confirming that they are upgraded Aquilas ships and that this is the standard model. However, the base Aquilas itself is absent from Empyrean missions.

I recommend capture, ananke for this. I never saw it on metis after many runs. You want the big open area where you have to wall jump around a curve, not a straightaway. 6 different ones will keep flying by and a few are tough scans.
Metis, Jupiter found an outside area, get enemies to trigger alarm, I also jumped out and fell into skybox (no clue if this helps). A few spawned for me, one was slow and ez to scan, seems to be on a loop and comes back, I killed it and another one spawned for another scan. There's a really fast one that spawns low, be ready with scanner out. There's a couple open areas at are very similar, just watch for their patterns.
I have finally found this enemy while looking for it on Metis, rescue, meso fissure, in a specific area. There was *one* Aquila flying back and forth, however the game allowed me to scan it six times which seems to be a bug, unless they were six different aquilas taking turns. If anyone is interested, I took screenshots at the tile.
They were 6 different ones...that did not appear on Metis for me after like 30 runs, but I got it on Ananke. 3 of them were pretty challenging. That thing moves so fast. I had to get in perfect spot and be pinpoint accurate.
Lol just tried to scan one and i the prosses i got every one of the purple caches in the process
(purple caches have the gas city scenes in them)

Technically they did, they just have the attachments that were shown in the concept art and were called different names.

Because either DE only recently added them in or they've been bugged since the rework of Jupiter. Either way, they zoom by way too fast on the open tile areas, so the odds of actually seeing or even hearing them are very low for most players. Hell, first time I saw one I just completely stopped what I was doing to try and scan it for like 10 minutes
They sometimes spawn on the gas city in outside rooms
So, the full name of this thing can be translated as "Dust Eagle" or "Mist Eagle"?

For scans: play Ananke capture until you get the big open room with the 2 destroyed electric towers hanging from the roof. As far as i experienced it an aquila is guaranteed to spawn.
Yes, Helios won't scan it, but for those who say its not scannable

Yes, It's SCANNABLE, but you have to scan manually, I had to try like 5 mins each time, because it flies too damn fast

codex entry seems to be bugged, i was able to scan one, but it still shows it as an unkonown entry
Encountered only one yet and I couldn't scan it, the scan process don't even start. Maybe because I equipped helios wich can't scan that fast shit. Good luck codex hunter's
NVM encountered it a second time and it was still not scannable
These flying vehicles reminds me of the HO 229, but more corpus-ish
