Sry dumb question but Is the prime still a beam? wiki says its hitscan but idk if hitscan/beam can overlap?
Nvm im dumb, normal verglas beam is also hitscan on wiki
I didnt see anything on the prime page about the beam length tho? is it affected by sinister reach's +12m beam length? or is it not even worth modding sinister reach
The range is 24m according to the wiki, it's listed in the table of general stats, it's fairly easy to miss.
To be honest, it wouldn't really be worth modding any Exilus mod on this weapon, like pretty much every primary and secondary honestly, but the Exilus slot can be used for optimisations for weapons that you really like or will use a lot.
Exilus adapters are expensive and the mods can usually be hard to slot, often requiring 1 or 2 extra forma, for very little overall impact usually, so they're not really worth using, in the sense that the cost is much higher than the benefit, but there's no real harm in using it either, it's up to your personal preference and how willing you are to spend the extra resources.
Verglas Prime already has pretty much as much range as the Sentinel will ever attack enemies from, so it's unlikely that you'll see any real difference in overall performance, so I wouldn't recommend it if you're just looking for the exact optimal build, but if you'd just like to use it because you like it, then feel completely free to.
This Dispo is bugged. It was initially 0.5 and not 1.5. Whoever is editing this is misleading people. Disposition matters to whether you should buy a riven for it or not. The price tag is crazy high for any newbies or average players.
No it gets the full dispo
Why does it not surprise me that they fucked up the disposition
New prime companion weapons start with the same dispo as the vanilla versions. Always been that way.
Nice buffs, but with a riven the base variant outclasses it. Time to change the new weapons come with the lowest dispo dogma DE.
Why is crying?
Certainly not me.
Not when my verglas has 7x as many kills with 4% usage. As compared to my old main with over 60% usage and not even a fraction of the kills.
Only people talking about "crying" here is you :) "lmao"
Stay mad
Idk why you starts with such an aggressive statement in the first place. The first user simply wonder a hypothetical question if verglas is able to trigger "Tenacious Bond", and after the calculation, it's not possible.
Like do you ask these "who the fk do [insert hypothetical question]?" to every question? It's just a curiosity driven and low stake question, why make it a high stake and attack the questioner?
^ Brenton is stupid, forgive him. He was also sperging out under the corrupted holokey article when no one asked for his opinion.
Doesn't seem like *that* much of an upgrade as long as you have a decent Riven.
The added Crit-stats are pretty meaningles, 2% status chance is not much and the lower reload time is nice, but nothing deal breaking...
So what is left is basically just 25% damage increase, which you can easily compensate with a good riven mod.
I do personally run all 4 Vigilante set mods, Split Chamber, Serration, primed cryo rounds and a riven with 81.4% toxin, 154.4% damage and 86% multishot.
Btw ignore my nonsense I just wanted to flex my riven
10-4
The main advantage is you can activate tenacious bond with a riven which you can't on the normal one
Vigil mods are good yes... But kitting it out to solo steel path for you is far better and far easier.
How we feeling about this, Verglasbros? Few years back I thought the Verglas being Glaxion but for sentinels was an oversight, glad it got a buff.
I still think Verglas having the exact same stats was an accident, but one they didn't end up fixing due to feedback, lol
@Ladyvan Gotta agree given that this isn't the only sentinel weapon based on a primary. The Vulcax is the other one, but for some reason they remembered to nerf it to hell. Same for the totally-not-a-nerfed-Lanka Vulklok.
Hoping in the future they'll buff the others to match the Verglas/Prime in combat effectiveness.
I don't think Verglas was an accident because if they'd copied anything it'd be the Cryotra and the buff that slightly. So I think they just grabbed any little-used primary weapon and said "screw it, just copy that"
Come to think of it, now we have 4 cold beam sentinel weapons...
The prime has the same dispo as base verglas. You can see because the stats don't change swapping between base and prime when trying to reroll a riven.
The king is coming.
So am I.
Burple my nurple and call me squirtle, this sauce must definitely be boss.
