Tenno Specters are only found in Junctions. They appear as various Warframes and can utilize their complement of Warframe powers along with Tenno-used weapons against players. Tenno Specters can be identified from player Warframes by large parts of their bodies glowing blue in a phased effect.
Tactics[]
- Tenno Specters will use the majority of their Warframe powers against players; an
Excalibur Specter can use
Slash Dash and
Radial Blind, while a
Trinity Specter can use
Link, etc. At rare times, Specters can use their Ultimate abilities, like Loki's
Radial Disarm. Their effect on players is identical to playing against other Warframes in the Conclave. - Tenno Specters are also capable of performing advanced melee moves and parrying. They will automatically melee attack if players get within melee range.
- When their health is reduced to 0, Tenno Specters have a chance of bleedout instead of dying outright, and will use their secondary weapons to attack until they expire. Downed Specters can be revived if another Specter is nearby.
- If a Tenno Specter is parrying, it can often be difficult or impossible to hit them even from behind. Additionally, on occasion a parrying Specter will begin shooting with their firearms during the parry animation, able to maintain accurate fire even though their guns are not pointed at the target. The best way to deal with them in this state is to break away and wait for them to stop their parrying animation, then engage from long range.
- They have similar AI to that of the Stalker with minor perks, such as ability to revive each other.
Tips[]
Trinity Specters will use
Link most of the time. It is unwise to attack them while the ability is active, as the link is capable of killing yourself if you attempt to attack the Trinity casting it. Wait for the ability to expire or stay out of Link's range before attempting to kill Trinity.
- It is possible to kill downed Tenno Specters using your weapons. Finish them off to prevent their allies from reviving them. Or, use the old sniper's trick of leaving them wounded but alive, then pick off their allies when they come to try to revive the downed Tenno.
- Using
Shadows of the Dead will summon any Tenno Specters you've killed before, though the actual Specter type that is summoned is random, i.e. a
Banshee Specter could be summoned even if you've only killed a
Nova Specter beforehand. Summoned Tenno Specters can use their powers for your benefit.
Nyx can use her powers on Tenno Specters, causing them to fight against their former allies.
Oberon's
Smite,
Nekros's
Soul Punch, and
Valkyr's
Rip Line can all go through
Snow Globes cast by
Frost specters.
Notes[]
- Not to be confused with Specters, the gear item introduced with Update 13.2.
- At some point after Update 13, the Tenno Specter entry, after having been glitched from its initial Excalibur model to a headless Nyx, was removed from the Codex for unknown reasons. As of Update 15.5.9, it has yet to be restored.
Trivia[]
- Tenno Specters are sometimes neutral until you engage them in combat.
- Similar holograms are used by the Lotus to train players when ranking up their mastery level, although they are holograms of enemy factions instead.
- Update: Specters of the Rail 0.0 (2016-07-08) has made Specters canon to lore, guarding the Solar Rails throughout the Star Chart.

Easiest way to kill them is to use Excalibur, get pretty close, use radial blind, and melee the crap out of them. Done this 3 times and it works beautifully
Can do same thing but with finisher, just need to remove shields.
I used Magnetize and just empty my magazine on em'
So can you farm these for mods???
Think so
Can you stealth kill specters in junctions?
Yes
Can we get clarification on this because I don't think these are the same spectors we fight in the juncitions anymore and when you load the junction page the spectors we fight for each junction there are listed with no drops.
cant we just farm certain quests?
Lel
Do these actually drop from junction specters? Or do you have to go somewhere else? I've never fought another specter, so I'm not sure where.
SO this thing has a 60% chance of dropping beserk does that mean i can spam junctions till i get it? or is it 0.6% chance? ,6 is a 60% but this thing isnt specific.
how is 0.6% = 60%?
go back to primary school math
2001:E68:543A:8019:40B5:8241:B476:1F9C Wow, rude my dude. Just because it's a mistake, that doesn't mean you should tell him to go back like that. :\
To elaborate, % should convert the number before it into a partial of 100. So 60% is 60/100 or .6 chance (out of 1). So 0.6% means that is 0.6/100, or .006 chance (out of 1).
I have never heard of spamming junctions O.o
I would love to fight an army of them. Granted they are either weakened, or I get my own army.
I'd be down for having a Star Wars: Battlefront 2 (the first one) style conquest mode
Yesssssss!!!
and every time i die im like WHAT THE F***!?
Frost hard
Use Oberon and spam smite
Im also newbie
does anyone know how to beat trinity specter? i can't beat it even when i have maxed out weapons with mods and using iron skin to nullify trinity specter abilities
Revenant makes it fairly easy
you cant beat a trinity......... WOW
Try Excalibur. Exalted Blade (His 4) will easily kill any specter. Remeber to mod elemental damage on it.
has anyone managed to get any drops off of the Rail Specters?
Easier way to kill specters
1. have a Zephyr with Turbulence
2. use Turbulence
3. kill specter before Turbulence fizzles out
4. profit
how to kill specters]
1. Equip ash or ash prime
2. have the augment, fatal teleport on
3. use any dagger with covert lethality
4. use teleport on the specter and they are dead. one shot all the time.
RIP Covert Lethality
Easy way to kill specters.
1.equip frost
2.use freeze on the specter
3.melee the specter constantly
4.use freeze when ever it tries to move again.
5.repeat
Easy way to kill every specter in the game:
1. Equip Excal
2. Exalted Blade
3. Spin Attack (activates Radial Blind)
4. Finisher from behind while EB active
5. Done in 15-20 seconds max, including animations
It's bugging the crap out of me that I can't get these in my codex by scanning the junction specters.
EDIT: Worked after I equipped HELIOS with his Inspector mod, and the ORIGINAL scanner into gear items, NOT the Cephalon scanner. Stealth scanned once entered the mission. Also, used Heliocor on specters and did mission multiple times, seem to work after I did both to register in codex. Even though it says 1/1 scans in codex, I almost think it's 3/3 because thats how many I did before it registered on all the spectres.
I'd like to fight an army of Warframe specters either with my friends, myself or my own army of Warframe specters.
you can sort of. you are able to spawn the loki and oberon specters from the silver grove quest line wearing their respective deluxe skins and are fairly over powered in groups of 5 or more when spawned in at higher levels.
So I ask some important questions:
Do junction spectres drop these 4 mods? Or are these mods only dropped by Solar Rail spectres?
if they drop in junctions, are there certain junction spectres I need to farm for certain ones? Or can I just farm any weak junction spectre over and over?
junctions don't drop these
A modern day excalibur would be a nightmare as a specter enemy. Those sword beams can even pass through snow globes...
Edit: I am mainly talking about during Solar Rail Conflicts where they could seemingly use their ultimates at random.
Just added all the Junction Specters to the gallery.
