Contagion Cloud is a Warframe Augment Mod for Saryn that causes kills made with
Toxic Lash, and damage over time effects generated by it, to leave behind a poisonous cloud that deals
Toxin damage over time to enemies within it. Melee kills double the damage dealt by the cloud.

Acquisition[]
- This mod can be acquired by attaining the rank of General under Steel Meridian, or the rank of Exalted under the Red Veil, and spending
25,000 to purchase.
Notes[]
- Cloud radius is affected by Ability Range.
- Damage per second is affected by Ability Strength.
- Duration is affected by Ability Duration.
- Damage is unaffected by melee stealth multipliers.
Tips[]
- The
Telos Boltace's suction slide attack works very well with this augment, pulling enemies into a group.
Bugs[]
- When the Saryn that spawned the clouds dies and then self-revives (or is revived by other players in Arbitration) her clouds lose their owner and start dealing damage to the Saryn and her teammates.
- It doesn't happen if the Saryn is downed and revived by another player.
- The clouds don't seem to refresh upon killing anything, so ~30sec after the revive the squad should be safe.

- Fixed Saryn’s Contagion Cloud Augment toxic cloud damage not being removed if you leave the area of the cloud. Visually it will disappear, but enemies will still be damaged by the toxic cloud for the duration of the mission.

Doesn't scale at all for endgame. Such a shame because toxic lash itself scales very well but this is 100% a wasted mod slot.
Standalone this augment is poopooo BUT some interactions (before being patched) were supper strong (Melee Influence)
Is there any interaction with this augment left in the game where it would make this augment any usefull ?
Melee Vortex, provides automatic grouping of enemies, takes advantage of the melee damage dealing twice as much damage modifier on the augment and toxic lash. All while providing quadratic scaling.
Wondering if this would be fun with a [Pull] or [Ensare] subsume .-. group enemies tightly, trigger several clouds stacked on top of each other, pull next batch in, rinse and repeat -- curious how many could be kept up like that with some good duration and strength..

It should be mentionned, spore kills don't generate clouds, neither do previously generated clouds

Do the toxin clouds pop spores in the same way Toxic Lash does? I can't find any recent info to suggest they do but am hoping it does and I'm just missing it (or it gets the ability to do so later haha)
Hey don't proc spores from what I've seen, they can make it slightly less likely for the spores to get the kill (which stops the spread), but not by much.
Are the toxin procs affected by status duration mods. Cursory research suggests it does and I like that idea.

Currently bugged, if you have clouds sitting around and hold X to respawn while downed the clouds will damage teammates.
There's a mistake in the description, it says Melee is twice as effective, it should be half as useless
Actually, that still wouldn't be accurate, even if the dmg numbers were capable of anything they'd first have to hit a thing that isn't already dead, or just do anything, really

Does the toxic clouds from this ability give exp to the melee weapon or to Saryn?
More specifically, does the toxic clouds that spawn from kills from melee weapon count as a weapon kill or a Warframe kill?
I want to know so I can decide if I want to put this augment on my Saryn for more affinity for my melee weapon.

late AF but based on how Toxic Lash basiclly steals Kills from your Weapons (the Damage that it adds counts as Ability Kills if that Damage Kills), Contagion Cloud probably counts as Ability Kills.
