Vox Solaris is a solo-only main Quest, released in Update 24.0 (2018-11-08). The Tenno aids the people of Fortuna to reignite the Solaris United rebellion against Corpus plutocrat Nef Anyo.
Walkthrough[]
Aside from needing to access Fortuna by reaching Venus, this quest has no prerequisite.
The quest begins upon first talking to Eudico. She explains that the Solaris work for a living and if the Tenno want to help, they should buy from Thursby, who is threatened with a repo order. Thursby had taken on his parents' debt and if he fails to make ends meet Nef Anyo will claim repossession and take away mechanical body parts and even his organic arms and legs.
Talk to Thursby in Fortuna[]
Thursby is a merchant desperately trying to meet his quota from selling useless scrap, so he asks the Tenno to steal better goods from the Corpus in Orb Vallis. When asked about Eudico, he explains that she once led the people of Fortuna under the name "Vox Solaris", the voice of Solaris United, until an incident caused her to step down.
In Orb Vallis, Thursby points the Tenno to a Corpus supply drop. There, they must loot three caches within the marked area, which appear as barrel-like containers that can be identified by the smoke rising out of them.
Impressed with the Tenno's work, Thursby suggests they could assault Nef Anyo by blowing up his coolant tower before he can present it to his board. However, Eudico cuts off his transmission, warning that he was speaking through an unsecured channel that had been tapped by the Corpus. The Tenno must pursue and shoot down a Corpus spy drone, then kill 20 enemy reinforcements all while defending the drone as Eudico hacks and erases the recording of Thursby.
Once complete, Eudico ponders on having the Tenno for the resistance, but she stops herself and warns them not to help Thursby again. They must now head back to Fortuna.
Talk to Thursby in Fortuna[]
Thursby, now with the proper supplies to start a shop, gives the Tenno his thanks, and refers them to The Business. The Business explains that he wishes to preserve the unique species in Orb Vallis before they are driven to extinction and tells the Tenno to head topside if they wish to help.
The Business wants to send a message to the Corpus by delivering a K-bomb to their repo squad, who have made a hit list of indebted Solaris. Eudico immediately intervenes and orders them not to use the K-bomb and instead stealthily take the list, prompting The Business to argue against Eudico's methods. The Tenno must head into a bunker and hack a terminal to take the hit list and must avoid the cameras and drones otherwise the Corpus will attempt to delete their data. The hit list reveals that the repo squad is after The Business's field squad, who are overdue for a check-in.
The Tenno arrives too late to find that the Corpus have already reached the field squad, but the whole team isn't present. They must investigate the four deceased bodies in the area, learning that the rest of the squad has been captured and are awaiting "processing."
At the site where the field squad are being held, the Tenno must hack a terminal and defend the area until the hacking is complete. Killing the Terra Jailers reinforcements drops a data key that speeds up the hacking process.
Once the hostages are rescued, Nef Anyo contacts the Tenno informing them that Thursby's stunt had not gone unnoticed, and has him repossessed. The lift will also be disabled during this time.
Talk to Eudico in Fortuna[]
Eudico laments at Thursby's repossession, mentioning that the medics are unsure if they can stabilize him due to "so much missing." She blames the Tenno before deciding to attempt an appeal to Nef Anyo and instructs them to head back to Orb Vallis.
Nef Anyo is pushing to activate an Orokin coolant tower, but due to its unfinished state it will release a heat cascade that threatens the Vallis. To counteract this, the Tenno must defend a single excavator as they drill for Amarast. However, The Business warns Eudico that her attempts to appeal to Nef Anyo are in vain, and Fortuna needs the rebellious Eudico.
Eudico urges the Tenno to hurry and deliver the Amarast to the coolant tower. However, Nef Anyo broadcasts to the Solaris that his investor showcase is coming soon and decides to perform a test run. By the time the Tenno arrive, they are too late and the tower malfunctions, and are told to return to Fortuna. Nef Anyo demands the Solaris' floor boss turn in fifty workers for repossession.
Talk to Eudico in Fortuna[]
Eudico explains that since Nef Anyo crushed the resistance, she had been focused on attempting to appease him, now realizing that her efforts are in vain. She tells the Tenno that they can leave if they wish, but are the only obstacle between Solaris and oblivion from Nef Anyo's men. The Tenno resolve to stay and fight, and receive a "present" to be delivered.
The Business assumes Eudico is attempting to buy off Nef Anyo, before realizing his K-bomb is missing. At topside, Nef Anyo's troops have amassed right outside of Fortuna. The Tenno must detonate the K-bomb before fighting off waves of Corpus.
Eudico, returning to her "Vox Solaris" identity, announces the return of Solaris United and that the Tenno is their messenger, demanding a halt on repossessions. Nef Anyo disbelieves Vox's return as a nothing but a ghost and sends in a Profit-Taker Orb, a gargantuan spider machine. As the Tenno currently has no means to combat the Orb, Eudico orders a retreat, claiming Nef Anyo won't destroy Fortuna with it.
The Business apologizes to Eudico, but instead she thanks him for not giving up on her.
Talk to Eudico in Fortuna[]
Eudico explains to the Tenno that Nef Anyo placed the Profit-Taker Orb to prevent Solaris from interfering with his investor showcase, and tells them that she arranged something for them back on Orb Vallis.
Just outside of Fortuna is a K-Drive. The Tenno must head toward the coolant tower, slipping past the Profit-Taker Orb, and hack into the control terminal to repossess the tower, then defend it from Corpus as Eudico attempts to overheat the tower. Vox threatens Nef Anyo, right in front of his investors, with the destruction of the coolant tower if he does not comply with their demands. Nef Anyo tries to pass it off as security detail and attempts to call their bluff, but Vox counters that they'd rather go down with his fortune than continue living in poverty. When the overheat nears completion, Nef Anyo finally relents and Vox reminds him that the Solaris are the people who make the Vallis work.
Eudico instructs the Tenno to deliver the Amarast, remedying the heat cascade, before they return to Fortuna. Meanwhile, Nef Anyo attempts to appease his angry investors, to no avail.
Epilogue[]
On returning to Fortuna, the player will receive the K-Drive Launcher, and an inbox message stating Smokefinger found a main blueprint for the
Garuda Warframe.
The Solaris United and Ventkids syndicates are now available, with Eudico offering Bounties, The Business with fishing and wildlife conservation, and Ventkids with K-Drive. Thursby is also revealed to have survived and gained mechanical legs, earning him the new name Legs, offering to sell MOA parts.
The Vox Solaris syndicate will also be available if the player has also completed The War Within.
Note[]
- [outdated, now Vox Solaris is needed to progress relays] Though Vox Solaris quest is optional, it must be completed to gain access to Legs, and thus MOA, and Orb Vallis Bounties.
Trivia[]
- The description of the Solaris United Syndicate changes after the quest is completed to reflect the resurgence of the Solaris United movement. Prior to the quest's completion, the text is a more general description of the Solaris people and their state of debt-slavery:

Defend drone + coolant tower + excavator :
A real simple base loadout 4 new players:
Mag w stretch + vitality (u no have Mag - farm from Seargent on Illiad Phobos, ezy peezy)
Mk1 Bo no potato w clashing forest (u get it from venus junction ) + 90 mods for rad/toxin
If u have Broken war from second dream quest even better
Use Mags pull (1st ab) for grouping and melee the "#¤% out of them
If excavator is low on health add a powercell to replenish shieds
Caches:
When aproaching area (yellow circle on minimap) u gonna see caches drop from sky, that should help u find at least 2 of them pretty quick
As for the 3rd watch the circle on minimap as timer goes down, it will shrink and pinpoint location
Defend the gate:
Go behind fourtuna + have a cup of tea, u dont have to defend jack, just wait till dialogue between Anyo and Vox ends and u get yellow marker to return 2 fortuna
GL Tenno, go forth and kick @$$
Wasted 4 mins of my life
So... I was able to join someone on the final stage of the quest on their first time playing this quest, even though it's supposed to be solo-only.
The game kicked me from his squad when we both entered the elevator in Fortuna and it took me to the post-New War version of the place. He was already in the Vallis on his mission when he invited me again, I accepted and it took me back to pre-New War Fortuna, so I got in the elevator and I somehow managed to join him.
So, what is it? Solo-only or multiplayer-friendly?
It sounds like you found an exploit in the system.
This quest is such a pain.(the robo hacking shiz)
Who the hell "balanced" the defence part? It was fine a launch. How is a lvl 8-10 defence impossible to do solo. I'm MR 30 with 1k+ hours the target has way too little health and doesn't regen. So it requires you to have op weapons or a shield focused frame like frost or gara. At that point why even have it be an early mission?
Is this about the drone part? (where you have to kill while she hack) or some other part of the quest? i got stuck there because the drone is too weak.
The drone part drive me crazy dude
Just completed it but I never got the Garuda blueprint? Only the K-Drive Launcher
Same here
"Host migration at the wrong time during a "Detonate the K-Bomb" mission."
How can there be a host migration if it's a solo-only quest mission?
Is it possible to sell the garuda blueprint you get from this? I might have by mistake, and I have no simaris standing!
No it is not possible, if you check the Warframe data on here there is no price for the blueprint of Garuda. You may have encountered a glitch and should report it to the company.
The fucking exavator quest is impossible even with rank 11 gear max modded. is it bugged or like what is the point of trying to beat a quest that supposedly has a limiter but just spawns all the soldiers at once
I literally did it with wukong and a braton without dying one time. it's so ez. dont know what you're talking about
Sevagoth with Gloom active helps a LOT on these types of missions. The real pain in the butt is the overheat part of the quest. I have yet to figure out a good combination for beating that part.
Ayo I can't find the freaking caches and it's pissing me off
Follow the quest marker and look for the smoking cylinders. They're kinda hard to miss.
"optional". Yeah, right.
It is tho
HOW TO: NOT GET COOLANT TOWER SPIDER (Lv.30 enemy)
Change so only people with an invite can play with you.
Go to the Coolant Tower, to trigger the conversation, move back on the street next to it
Look towards the tower
It worked in 3/3 tries. I have no clue if its 100% guaranteed.
Not 100% guaranteed. I tried this and there was 2 of them.
The mission to defend the coolant tower is fucking impossible
I think its a mission designed for more advanced players than just discovering the planet...
How do you do this, it is so hard. i have lvl 30 mk1-bo and I have Excalibur lvl 29
It might be nice if someone who can do this mission easily explains their loadout. I keep getting killed during the final part of the conversation, which without me there, the tower gets curb stomped by 20 baddies at once, failing the mission immediately.
Warframe: Revenant. Primary: Mutalist Quanta. Secondary: Lex. Melee: Mk1-Bo. Additional equipment: Squad Shield Restore (small) x 10, Squad Health Restore (small) x 10. Strategy (suggested by someone in the Warframe Discord server and modified slightly): Set out shield and health restores asap when enemy spawn; Use Enthrall skill on enemies, so that they will create a thrall army that won't attack the tower, kill them before the skill runs out; Attack non-thralls with heavy jump-slam attacks, which will knock them into the air for a moment; set out more shield/health restores when they run out of time. This is not a perfect strategy, but it made the mission a lot easier.
I recently got to this part in my first playthrough, and it seems it isn't optional: to my knowledge, you need to pass this to unlock the Vallis on the star chart, and so you can't place an extractor there without finishing this.
Well, it is "optional" only in a *VERY* "technically correct" sense of the word. It really isn't. But *technically* it's not a main story quest.
Yeah but placing an extractor there is optional cause you could just get the resources yourself.
Edge case technicalities don't really translate into proper human logic. While yes, the quest is "technically optional", not doing it will leave many aspects of the game locked. When not doing something leaves you effectively handicapped in a game, that makes the "optional" status suspect to most players.
Can someone explain me does a LV30 spider with a sh*t ton of health spawns at the coolant tower? I started a new WF account and Í wanted to finish ASAP Vox Solaris but at the final mission this mf spider just spawns and ruins everything.
This should be removed from "optional" being that it locks away so many vital game pieces if left undone, trying to get my friend threw this and got blind sided by the fact its not only solo but also quite long, missions like this are scaring off new players
Optional means it's not a main quest, which it isn't
Probably should be dubbed "side-quest" rather than "optional", to avoid confusion. "Optional Quest" to most people means that something is more of a "trivial side-quest" type of thing. Vox Solaris being a requirement to unlock so many aspects of the game makes it more of a "very significant side-quest". This is why there seems to be backlash against calling it an "optional" quest. While it's not a main story quest, not doing it will leave players greatly handicapped, compared to those who do. "Technically Optional" may be a more elegant description, which might appease people on both sides of the topic.
should this page mention that some coolant spiders spawn at the cooling tower and can destroy it in 10 secs? 'cus i've been trying for around a hour and no luck beating them all
For real, they annihilate it. That and the shield destroying attack is unforgiving. Best to attempt this later I guess
It's so hard to find the 3 corpus airdrops please need help i looked everywhere
Drops 1 and 3 are at the start and end of the road, look for them by the road side.
The 2nd one is next to the water, if you get the first one, and follow the edge of the water you should find it
PLEASE LET US SKIP THE DIALOGUE
I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE STORY AT ALL
i like the story but it is kina anoying when your replaying the mission for the 17 time bc u suc at it and being unable to skip dialouge.
I FCN agree.... If i read the subtitle alreay... i dont want to listen to the drabble anny further... just skip it and go to the mission... (should be MY choice weather i want the story or not)... and if you fail the mission you have to listen to it alll AGAIN.... FFS.... i dont want to watch a movie... i want to play the game
To be fair the intro storyline to solaris kinda pissed me off. They ask me to help Thursby, so I do what he wants and they scream at me like its my fault, I dont know what tf is going on, and I also didnt have a choice. Kinda soured me on them for a while.
That's Eudico that yells at you, not "they" (other characters). And while that part can be a bit irritating, if one looks at the situation, she's trying to do damage control. so she's blaming you, instead of taking responsibility, which is why Biz keeps prodding her. Biz is trying to make her stop being all meek and timid towards Nef. And once she realizes she's been going about things wrong, she does make up for it. So, at least she's not actually trying to blame everything on us permanently. She's just acting out something we've seen in other media and possibly IRL: the person who blames the friends of [insert person here] for something bad that happened to that person, more out of reactionist grief than actual thought.
im finding the quest bugged, cant get power cells to spawn so cant power up the drill
im getting power cells but i cant use them
