Info
- Frost expends
50 Energy to create a protective globe of ice with a radius of
5 meters, a base health of
1500 / 2500 / 3000 / 3500, and additional health equal to
500% of Frost's base armor bonuses. Upon activation, the globe is invulnerable for 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 seconds. Incoming damage that is absorbed during the invulnerability period is converted into health and added to the globe's health.
- Snow Globe's health uses the following expression when accounting for
Ability Strength:
Modified Health = { Base Health + Armor Multiplier × [ Frost's Base Armor × (1 + Base Armor Bonus) + Additional Armor) ] } × (1 + Ability Strength) + Absorbed Damage- For example, with a maxed
Steel Fiber and
Intensify, rank-3 Snow Globe will have an initial health of
{ 3500 + 5 × [ 300 × (1 + 1.1) ] } × (1 + 0.3) = 8,645 before converting absorbed damage.
- For example, with a maxed
- While active, a health counter becomes visible on the ability icon that tracks the health percentage of the most recently placed Snow Globe from 100% to 0%.
- Frost and his allies do not contribute to Snow Globe's health gain by shooting the globe during the invulnerability period.
- Most enemy gunfire is blocked from entering the globe. Ally gunfire is able to enter and exit the globe normally.
- Snow Globe's health uses the following expression when accounting for
- Upon activation, enemies within range are inflicted with 10
Cold Status Effects to freeze enemies for
? / ? / ? / 10 seconds and are violently pushed outwards. If the enemies hit obstacles, they can be dealt as much as 50% of their maximum health as
True damage.
- Enemies that enter a formed Snow Globe receive a
Cold status effect at a rate of 0.33 seconds.
- Snow Globe visually cracks as it receives damage. Upon breaking, it inflicts
? / ? / ? / 150
Cold damage and 3
Cold status effects to enemies inside the globe.
- Snow Globe can be recast multiple times, but there are restrictions on the number of globes that can be created in the environment.
- A maximum of 4 separate Snow Globes can be cast at any given time. Casting Snow Globe after reaching the maximum will remove the oldest globe.
- Casting Snow Globe while inside an existing globe will remove the older globe and combine the total remaining health values of both globes for the newer one. The invulnerability period is reactivated for each cast.
- Snow Globes created inside existing globes do not count toward the maximum number of instances, and Snow Globe's health can stack with repeated casts until reaching a maximum combined health of 1,000,000.

For anyone saying that snowglobe no longer stacks, that is not true. It does still stack. If your snowglobes are breaking in high end content, I've got bad news for you. Your snowglobes are weak.
In the new Jade shadows update, frosts snowglobe no longer stacks
I noticed this as well. I'm not sure how effectively or accurately this can be tested (SP corpus defense) and after the initial 4 sec of invulnerability the shield steadily and quickly declines at seemingly the same pace regardless of how many times it's cast.
Sleeper frame. absolute unit. deadly in the hands of a true master.
And a griefer frame in the hands of literally everyone else who doesn't understand that his snow globe blocks all projectiles, including your team's.
Not anymore :3
I've cracked how Frost's globe's health displays!
If you've ever stacked 2 globes together, and it displayed a 1 as it's health, its correct! The more you stack on the number will get higher, say a few casts get you to 8. This is the percentage of health based off the max number, which is 1 million.
Another example of this is if you do enough casts and get the number to, say, 27. That means the health of the combined globe is somewhere between 260k and 270k health.
Hope this helps anyone out there confused about the numbers, because I sure have been by it.
Nice find! Does anyone if this has always been the case?
I really wish they would have an better indicator on how much health the Globe has, like when you are standing in one a little buff in the top right would tell you how much health it has rather than the percentage on the skill icon that constantly bugs out
Can block the gunfire of your allies. Instantly makes it one of the WORST ABILITIES IN EXISTENCE!!!
There are other weapons and abilities that deal with everything you just said far, far better than Snow Globe.
For defense missions, any of the healing abilities that can affect a pod (and there are several) gives you plenty of pod toughness to handle quite a long run, and nobody's weapons are blocked. Also, side note, if you're worried about some of those special missions saying "Complete X waves in a Defense mission with zero damage to the pod", Snow Globe doesn't give perfect defense; some melee enemies with a death explosion like certain Infested can get through that and fail you.
For SO, any AoE weapon of any kind (and at the lower stages a vast number of frame abilities) handle it effortlessly, you don't need the globe. Do you really look forward to hiding in a bubble not fighting while someone else does the fighting for you? Why are you there in that case?
Kiljaedenas It cannot block ally fire from inside out and it has a decent radius. There's little to no reason to shoot enemies through its exteriour. So in static defence scenarios (which are plenty) -- or if you have several defence objectives -- having Frost on the team is nice.
Hard disagree. Every time I ever played with a Frost they dropped the thing in some dumbass spot that slowed down killing enemies. I have never, ONCE, seen a Globe put in a spot that actually helped anything. And this was through several runs.
Zephyr's Turbulence is the direct upgrade to Frost's snow globe.
Expansion slam damage is proportional on the distance the enemy was from the center of the bubble, or rather, from you, as well as the distance they've traveled since exiting the bubble's sphere of influence.
The sound it makes when you are inside it comes from one piece
So. Parasitic armor huh? 57k globe without even trying, interesting.
I prefer tanker arcane and chroma's blue
Unfortunately you cannot keep stacking damage absorbed during invulnerability period. It will take the max between the previous and the current invulnerability absorption.
How do you know when a globe has reached its cap of 1million health?
Ah yes, with one simple trick:
you don't
Game designers hate that trick!
I hate this bc its completely correct
Is the invincibility period bugged or something? A month ago during the last Thermia Fractures event when I used Snow Globe on the container, the counter almost instantly went down to 80% under Corpus fire, I swear the invincibility isn't triggering
Might be affected by lag, open worlds aren't the most stable of levels in the game, or maybe a nullifier bubble since they exist in many forms in the orb vallis.
It's probably the "Nullifier Burp" from the fracture spawning a Nullifier bubble during the sealing.

Do my and allies' weapon attacks damage the globe? It seems to be the case when I cast one and then the health (of the globe) just drops to 0 after a few seconds.
No. It's just that the health number is very glitchy.
Is it just me, or enemies after UPD25, also thx for the new cool graphics on the globe, became more oblivious towards you being inside the globe? They will rush you instead of firing from their effictive distance, and won't "see" you, judging by their icon on the minimap, until they enter the designated area, even if your globe is placed right in front of their cloned little angry faces. Or maybe I am the oblivious one.
OP here, tested is several times on different enemies, it outright bugs them out now. The moment you cast your globe, poof, you are practically invisible, snipers stop shooting at you, heavy gunners stare at you with disbelief and hateful envy, nullies kind of don't care, Kela hugs bloody floor with her assets, all sorts of things. There is no need for those 20k+ health on an entity that only protects you from skin-melting sun on a hot martian day.
try this
Kinda wish friendly fire could go through these.
kinda agree in non-solo you have to be careful where you setup a globe or you are annoying others....
Most annoying fucking skill ever! Great to unlock rivens sure but as a Zarr user all you globe spawning fucks can go eat yellow snow!
Just ignore this guy. No one with this kind of attitude is gonna be around long.
Lmfao as if you're implying he's not right.
To be fair, you should be mad at Self Damage, not Snow Globe.
So, is there a way for me to see how much health the snow globe has on it after the 4s invincibilty phase? To see how much dmg it absorbed. Doesnt look like there is, which is really bad design. You just know from checking your abilites in arsenal with mod stats that your globe is 14k hp, but thats not taking into account how much potential dmg it absorbs so when you activate it ingame you only know its 100% by looking at ability icon, but not the actual health.
Even Rhinos Iron Skin has an icon at the top of the screen like a buff, showing how much his current skin health is from when you have boosted it with ironclad charge etc. Why cant Frost have this icon too?
Also, ability seems bugged to hell as well. Sometimes when you cast it, it shows 100% on the ability first, then 1 second later it shows a number like 5. Even though no enemies are there so it didnt take dmg.
If you keep the enemies outside the snow globe, it could just as well be a single cast ability that creates an indestructible snow globe, i have NEVER seen a snow globe be destroyed by anything else than frost himself.
However, the moment they get in, you are ****ed because it blocks your shots as well as the enemy fire, and if there is enough enemies inside it trying to get in is like trying to fit your head through a cheerio.
And most of the time the enemies get in within 3 seconds of a frost casting his snow globe on Hydron or Helene, so it just as well could not even be here.
Keep in mind that if Frost re-casts Snow Globe inside his own existing Snow Globe, any and all enemies that are inside at that moment are forcefully thrown OUT of the Globe, as well as combining the health of the newly casted Globe with whatever remained in the one that already existed. Win-Win!
yes and dealing 50% true damage means 2 casts and they are dead if they collide with a wall wich in many places is the case
I just had to discipline a MR 20 calling me noob for stacking the globe more that 4 times lol
doesnt stack anymore though. it was hotfixed. no point putting multiple globes inside anymore
when was it hotfixed? link of the patch?
To the Lone Tenno above who stated that it doesn't stack anymore due to it being "hotfixed", that does not make any sense. A "hotfix", by its very nature, is a patch to fix a bug, and the ability to stack Snow Globe health this way was NOT a bug. The patch notes from Update 15.13 make it clear that this was, in fact, intended to work this way.
A review of all subsequent patch notes from that point up to now (all the way to the most recent update, which is 23.10.8 at the time of my writing this) shows no mention of any change to Snow Globe that alters this in any way. As such, I second the motion requesting you to link the source of your information regarding this supposed hotfix you speak of!
