Blind area no longer follows the player, significantly worse than it used to be.
Why would you need blindzone 30 meters around yourself and not the target?
To protect yourself. why the hell would you want a blind zone in a random place you used to be instead of following you and protecting you? The idea of this augment is to prevent enemies from hitting you. How is that not obvious? painfully stupid question
Does this blind effect give the Stealth Damage Multiplier on affected enemies?
As an experiment, I put terrify on Mesa. The blind from Muzzle Flash is a higher CC priority then fear. So blinded enemies will still have their armor stripped, but won't run away.

This is actually the best mod for team endurance runs. Full squad running muzzle flash with helminth is just broken.
You just need 1 person with max range that is central.
Need to upgrade the article, the base range for muzzle flash is now 12m not the original 8m.
Worth noting that the muzzle flash blinding effect moves with Mesa and lasts per Duration. So it isnt a wide effect but handy nonetheless.
This must have been changed because this is taking effect in neither the simulacrum nor missions. There is only a single instance of blind on activation. It's produced from Mesa but it doesn't move with her.
After a bit of testing yeah, that property seems to have been changed.

Makes her a good cc frame. 155 duration 130 efficiency 175 range and 130 power with decent slinger pistol build She becomes a powerhouse like she had always been.
Range is too short to be useful.
"Range is too short to be useful." Actually no. You have 6 seconds and the effect moves with you for that time. Most "blind" effects are static location and this effect is not static.
Duration should have no impact on this mod and base 7 sec duration should be nerfed to 3-4 sec - so you could build mesa with 12% duration and proc 3-4 sec blinds very often
Does Mesa’s own shooting gallery produce the blinding burst as well or is it just from the one swapping between her teammates?

does this mean if i build mesa her 2nd ability to have 20 seconds duration that the blinding is also 20 seconds instead of 7?
Nope. Mesa's Shooting Gallery stays on her for 20 seconds, but divide that by 3 (if you have 4 players in a squad) you get 6.67 seconds on each of the other players on your team. So, every 6.67 seconds triggers a blind when switching players.
Since Shooting Gallery lasts 30 seconds at max rank by default, it means you have 66% Power Duration to reach 20 seconds. 7 seconds x 66% = 4.62 seconds that enemies will be blinded.
Simply put, if you want blind to last longer, build for more Power Duration! If you want blinds to happen more often (but doesn't last as long), build for less Power Duration!

I find using only Stretch to get 145% Power Range is usually enough CC on Shooting Gallery while keeping Power Strength high. Going with Muzzle Flash as well for that 11.6 meters of blind seems overkill now that Mesa gets to keep her lasso while active.
For those curious, yes, this mod is affected by both range and duration. This is a problem for Mesas wanting to use the mod, seeing as she has no real need to build for range other than shooting gallery itself. As far as duration, adding duration to increase the blind's potency will also increase the ramp up time for the switch, meaning it becomes less effective as a spot CC, yet tanking duration makes the blind last less time than the inbuilt stun, rendering it practically worthless (aside from the additional stun itself, which can be somewhat useful.). In addition a tanked duration build will lose shattered shield as a side effect, lowing Mesa's survivability drastically.
In essence equiping this mod makes you make some difficult decisions about your build you likely wouldn't have had to make before, though I don't see the harm in equiping it to peacemaker builds that already have tanked duration through Fleeting Expertese and Transient Fortitude. However, if you like your 3, stay far away.
It's a damn shame, this mod could have been imenselly useful in raids if the blinding time wasn't affected by power duration. But the way it is, it is simply useless in all circunstances.
You got it all wrong mate, try joinin Muzzle Flash with transient fortitude and fleeting expertise, it becomes a spam ability, that flashes throughout your entire party in a span of 2 - 3 seconds. Compliment this with a stretch and overextended and the flash becomes way more viable.
So you sacrifice all of your survivability for a less than 1 second blind? Might as well use wyrm friend.
