Info
- Dante expends
5 energy to equip his Exalted Weapon tome sidearm, the
Noctua, replacing his equipped secondary weapon. Press the ability key again (default 1 ) to deactivate and return his secondary weapon to the swap weapon cycle (default F ).
- Noctua has its own unique statistics:
- Primary fire shoots fully automatic arcane energies.
- Consumes
2 energy per shot.
- Base damage is
175 / 200 / 225 / 250 pure
Slash. - Shots have a 30% critical chance, 2x critical multiplier, 25% status chance, 1.5 fire rate, infinite ammunition, and does not need to reload.
- On impact with an enemy, the shot splits into 4 fragments that seek enemies within 20 meters at a 60 degree angle, inflicting damage with critical and status chance, as well as charging the alt-fire meter.
- Consumes
- Alternate Fire hurls a wide projectile.
- Requires a fully filled meter beneath the reticle in order to fire. The meter takes 60 seconds to completely recharge. Hitting enemies with the primary fire reduces recharge time by 1 second per hit. Picking up secondary or universal ammo reduces recharge time by 10 seconds.
- Multishot will count as an additional hit.
- Base damage is

Radiation. - Shots have a 45% critical chance, 3x critical multiplier, 45% status chance, 1.0 fire rate, infinite Punch Through against bodies, and 1.4 meter Punch Through against surfaces.
- Requires a fully filled meter beneath the reticle in order to fire. The meter takes 60 seconds to completely recharge. Hitting enemies with the primary fire reduces recharge time by 1 second per hit. Picking up secondary or universal ammo reduces recharge time by 10 seconds.
- The Noctua's unique passive bypasses the one Canticle Mod (
Fass Canticle,
Jahu Canticle,
Khra Canticle, and
Lohk Canticle) and one Invocation mod (
Xata Invocation,
Netra Invocation,
Ris Invocation, and
Vome Invocation) restriction, allowing it to equip all Tome Mods simultaneously, if needed. - Damage is affected by
Ability Strength and most secondary weapon mods.

Sharpened Bullets) or Amalgam Mods (e.g.,
Amalgam Barrel Diffusion). - Riven Mods are not generated for the Noctua.
- Primary fire shoots fully automatic arcane energies.
- Casting and deactivating Noctua are full-body animations that allow uninterrupted movement and parkour Maneuvers.
- Ability Synergy:
- Kills from Noctua passively scan enemies into the Codex. Noctua also gains 50% Status Chance against enemies that have been fully scanned.
Final Verse's Wordwarden creates a spectral Noctua companion that floats beside Dante and his allies and attacks enemies struck by their weapons, inheriting 35% / 40% / 45% / 50% of the
Noctua's original damage, any modded stats, and splits page fragments on hit to charge the held Noctua's alt-fire.

It should be added that warframe arcanes like precision and acceleration equipped on Dante work on Noctua. I'm yet to test if arcon mods equipped on Dante work on Noctua too.

From my testing, the fragments don't seem to be affected by damage mods like Hornet Strike, though they do get increased damage from elemental and slash mods. Not sure if bug
Since the scan happens after the kill, it is not possible to farm Kavat Genetic Codes with it.

Alright, you were correct. It works, I was just very unlucky when testing before.
You can actually use the Codex Scanner on a dead kavat if you scan right after death. When I get tired of trying to scan those jumpy rascals, I just whack them and scan them.

Does anyone know if your secendary's arcane applies to Noctua? from my testing with cascadia overcharge it didn't give any additional crit chance.
Since it is equipped on secondary weapon and not on Noctua it is kind of logical they don't work.However warframe arcanes like Acceleration and Precision should work but I didn't test it yet.It would be nice if someone updated this page with this info.

Those are Warframe arcanes and not Secondary arcanes though. Dude asked about arcanes equipped on your gun.
I had Dante earlier in The Circuit and I'm not sure if Noctua had any mods equipped to it ? I was hitting some ennemies for 28 with the primary fire. It didn't feel right, unless they modded it without a single damage upgrade.
Tomes are bugged in the Circuit and are equipped with RIFLE mods, so they have no effect. This has been present since Whispers in the Walls, still not fixed.
Noctua's direct hit primary fire and alternate fire are increased by Airburst rounds bonus secondary damage, and it can be buffed by secondary outburst from your actual secondary.
The direct hit and alt fire are also buffed by arcane precision, and arcane velocity does buff its fire rate
Noctua does not work correctly with GunCO. With 100% strength, 3 stacks of Galvanized Shot and 1 status effect on the enemy, damage increased by 96%. At 200% strength by 48%. At 300% strength by 32%. Hornet Strike always increases damage by 220%.
I managed to achieve a 120% increase in damage with 80% strength. (Noctua damage 200)
Does this disable energy regen over time like most exalteds?

Thank god they removed the ability to use this underwater. Those first few hours were hell with all the underwater Noctua spam
