Even with a very high strength it only adds about 3 charges to Rev himself. So useless unless one is team-playing.
Oh sorry that is with the mod not upgraded. my bad
Could've just read the mod to begin with since it literally says up to 5 on it. Imagine reading tho lol
Yeah, imagine lol. Why are people so quick to comment before even finishing reading.
The original comment says it only adds 3 charges to Revenant himself, which is correct cause for every 50% strength you get about 3 charges. Regardless, it's a pretty good mod and even if you aren't a team player, it has other niche uses,
Description says allies not allied Warframes. Way this not affected to Companions? Even augment Description implies it.
Yea this sucks
Does this work on Eidolon Lures?
DE is adding the weirded things to try and give themselves an excuse to nerf Revenant.
Mark my words, if Revenant's Mesmer Skin ever gets nerfed, it's going to be because of the same reason they nerfed Trinity's 4 which is effectively what this augment is.
Does it work with defense objective? excavator? eidolon lures? rescue target? Nekros ghost? your own thrall? other warframe skilled summons? specters?
Imagine turning one of the most selfish warframe to one of the best supports with one augment
Trinity used to be one of the best supports, but look what DE did to her.
Doesn't apply on companions, even though reave does.
Mesmer Skin was already the best defensive ability in the game.
With this Revenant is probably the best support frame for team survivability.
Wow.
Of course It would be alot better if it scaled with strength(honestly kind of weird it doesn't) but...at worst it's 5 seconds of invincibility on a 50 energy ability for all allies within 50M, which isn't all that bad if used reactively. If a player is burning through the charges that quickly, they probably aren't going to need the buff anyways. It's definitely not worth specifically using him for it, but it's atleast a practically free slot-in that makes an already fairly solid frame more versatile.
Then again unless by support frame you're referring more general buffs rather then survivability, i'm not sure if I'd really use rhino for the comparison. You're going to have to cast rhino stomp way more often then Mesmer Shield if your team has a reasonable amount of TTK.(problem with debuffs in a horde shorter) Personally would of used the likes of Protea, Wisp, Citrine, Nezha, and possibly even grendel for a more general use frame that can also bump up the survivability of teammates.
Maybe worth pairing it up with Molt Reconstruct? Heals everyone within affinity range for 6 HP per energy spent. So 300 HP assuming you have 100% efficiency. So if they're taking damage beyond the Mesmer charges, you can heal them back up at the same time.
On a dedicated endurance team this allows one player to just cast Mesmer Skin every 5 seconds and everyone will be effectively immortal, not to mention this frees the other players to put their entire builds into offense. Beats having everyone do the shield gate/vazarin dash mambo for hours, if you ask me, the Revenant player could even set up a Mesmer Skin/Dispensary macro and go out for groceries.
I mean..If your team is camping in a single spot for long enough to use Dispensary, then Protea herself can just spam shield satalites for similar effect ontop of having an additional helminth slot. The main advantage of Mesmer shield is the sheer range of it, to the point the other players would be more or less indepentent from each other. Granted I wouldn't even know what a proper team optimized for endurance would look like, let alone one that spaced out.
Good thing i grabbed this for a measly 10p i couldnt bother grinding those syndicates
This comment cracks me up, considering the "grind" consists of "pledge to Suda, do literally anything, profit."
Please if somebody able to edit this page, the mesmer skin strength is not scale from ability strength, it is a fixed 50% to the original 6 charges at base, so it is a true +3 charge only. When modding, if you subsumed damage buffing ability like roar, calculate your marginal benefit of whether strength or this mod can bring you more benefits. If your strength > This mod of 3 charges, go with strength as it can also benefit your buffing ability, otherwise stick with this, plus you can help your teammates! (Or screw them up if they are playing hunter adrenaline/rage build.)
Roar has 0 effect on ability strength, it only buffs ability damage, so it will have no effect on this mod. And it already states very clearly that allies gain 5 charges regardless of your own ability strength, with 6 being the maximum if you use reave near them. Don't overcomplicate it and if you don't understand or ain't sure, don't comment.
You didn't understand the point OP made at all.
The argument from him was: when having roar in the build and have a last mod slot to cover in your build, you have to make out yourself if you take a strengh mod to have more charges + more dmg on roar OR take mesmer shield and therefore have less dmg on roar but a defensive ability for your team, which can be good or bad depending on their builds.
In hindsight, your combative last sentence is quite ironic.

WOOOOOOOOOOO
Stay classy WF community, until DE decides to shut down servers themselves if/when it gets to the point where even they too had enough of your crap
Does not seems to be working on pets or rescue target, could be bug or maybe as intended
Sadly i think it's intended
Still only B-Tier
Seems to work on Defection targets
It's really useful for Eidiolon hunts to not be affected by magnetic waves
? 💀
Over 18.84 charges with 264% power strength it will prob be like 20 with operator buff that's insane you literally can't die (especially with rolling guard), plus you can be helpful as support.
Says "mesmer skin strength" in game and not ability strength.
