Mandachord
- Main article: Mandachord
The Mandachord is Octavia and
Octavia Prime's signature instrument that allows her to interact with her abilities. To use it, click the Mandachord tab when Octavia is equipped.
Notes
- If Octavia wields her Signature Weapons:
Tenora/
Tenora Prime: Headshot kills with Alternate Fire have a 20% chance to instantly refill the magazine.
Pandero/
Pandero Prime: Headshot kills with Alternate Fire increase reload speed by 20%.
- No weak spots other than actual heads will trigger these effects.
- Headshots on invulnerable enemies will still grant these effects, but not with invulnerable bosses.
- No weak spots other than actual heads will trigger these effects.
Trivia
- [DE]Danielle performed motion capture work for Octavia's animation set as seen during Devstream 86.
- The Lester B. Pearson School for the Arts provided the sound effects for Octavia's abilities.[1]
- Octavia's name was announced during PAX East 2017.
- Octavia's name comes from the word octave, the word for a span of eight diatonic tonal notes that repeat over higher and lower frequency ranges, usually containing the basis for most musical scales. Her name may also have some origin from the Latin name "Octavia", meaning "eighth born".
- Octavia's Mandachord plays notes in the D Minor Pentatonic scale. "Pent" meaning five, corresponding to the five available notes for the Melody and Bass instruments to select from when composing a song.
- Lotus' quote, is a reference to the opening scene of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night".
- The names of Octavia's Corpus-themed instruments all have Greek origins.
- Octavia is partly unique because two of her component blueprints can only be acquired from side objectives in missions (e.g. Crossfire caches and the Lua music puzzle).

I will play Octavia
(10 seconds later after close eyes for some reason)
Why mission failed? Just 10 seconds had passed
(look time, 2 hours have passed and you just sleep)
The Octavia loop
Metronome goes randomly out of sync on clients, which results in not being able to go invisible without cheesing. The bug can be fixed by waiting for ALL ability timers to run out.
If you're not the host, it's also common that mobs completely ignore the mallet, and instead run past it and aggro whoever is the host / not in stealth, somewhere 50 meters away.
Forums mention this stuff, but I see nobody talk about it. Everyone is focused on "the frame is boring", and how that's why nobody plays her. She's is low effort afk farm in solo yeah true, but that's where it ends. Once you join public SP Survival, you're spinning a lottery wheel every time you press 3. That's why only people playing her are cheesing afk farmers (who don't even enjoy the game), and solo endurance-runners. There's no reason to attempt playing this frame properly, unless you only play solo.
I didn't know that as a hard fact, but I always did have this weird feeling like Octavia was inconsistent whenever I brought her to public. That's interesting know though that it's a real bug.
Fuck this character dude just give me the neuroptics am I still doing 20 minute runs on a survival just to get another axi relic holy its a 20% drop rate dude like give it to me game its been 5 hours of my life I cant get back because of one 1/4th of a warframe I only want for mastery and subsuming
Im going insane
FINALLYL AHOWO WOOAOWW
Congrats
I got it on 2nd attempt and I praised the RNG's for it.
One of the most fun frames to play
Trash frame
Second reply was sent by a subhuman
This may come as a shock to people... but if you actually PLAY the game its a lot more fun... Something tells me people who dont even play the game should stop shouting about whats "fun" and whats not.
When a frame lets you play the game by not playing the game like revenant you know its good
After completing Octavia's Anthem, I have just done the Plato Crossfire mission twice, opened caches both times, and did not receive the Octavia Systems Blueprint. So either not 100% or there is a bug.
It's 22.56% chance for the Systems... 100% is for the Chassis, which you get every time you complete the music memory test puzzle.
What if someone picked mag or volt
I don't have permission to edit the page, but in the section on the Abilities tab that discusses her passive it says, "To access the Mandachord menu, open the Arsenal in your ship, equip Octavia, click on the Warframe's Appearance tab, and select Mandachord at the bottom-right of the screen."
This was changed a while back, the Mandachord is now located where an Exalted Weapon would be.
Thanks a lot you helped me find it where no one else on youtube or other sites could
The most poorly designed frame in the game. Sure she can do basically any content invis and without attacking. But is it fun? And do any of the buffs really matter/or worth the effort?
"One of the most versatile" lol... 1 build isnt versatile
Do you know what versatile means?
She’s able to do almost everything, regardless of builds
Parazon, Mod Invis after hacking... makes any frame cheese spy missions. Failtavia is irrevelant

"...jiggling pieces of cloth..."
Chief something is wrong I can feel it.
So for some reason prime gaming is saying i collected both the iridos skin bundle and the iridos armor bundle however i dont seem to be able to access the rewards does anyone know if this is a glitch or am i doing something wrong
Are you sure you put in the right account? Also my inbox told me that I got it when I logged in, did you see anything in your inbox? Also there are instructions on the prime gaming website, you didn't have to follow that exactly but maybe that helps.
I only have 1 account and nope nothing in inbox so i dont know where i screwed up at cause i linked my warframe account with prime gaming and prime gaming is saying i claimed both yet neither is showing up for my warframe account
You should probably just send a support ticket then, https://digitalextremes.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
Thanks turned out that while my accounts were linked they were not done so properly so i had to unlink them then relink them
iridoss skin
Anybody else unable to play octavia in high level content, for me some reason her ability is now stunlocking enemies where they wont shoot the mallet, they just stand around looking at me, and not shooting, which i mean could be good i guess for like defense or mobile, but like it cant kill anything cause they wont shoot it
I just experienced this myself the other day with another added bug.
I would throw out my mallet in range of an Eximus unit and it would act as though I hadn't used it. The timer wouldn't start and energy was still being consumed.
If I did manage to get my mallet out, it would sit there with a group of enemies around it all acting like it wasn't even there until I fired at them.
I could be wrong but I believe Eximus units arent taunted by the mallet just like alot of other abilities dont effect eximus units till there overguard is broke down. They can go after it with overguard but they arent forced to do so.
I can still run end game with her but you won't be relying only on mallet. Late endurance as well. Run pillage and rely on your invisibility.
Why is the manachord functionality not fully explained? Even on YT there is no clear explanation anywhere.
Finally found the info, lease update the wiki to explain - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UC38_NG2tZ8&t=477s
Systems drop chance is broken
I'm 0/42...
Rng is pain I stil getting it when I doi it keep trying I think
20+ runs and still no neuroptics, I had a way easier time farming the entire set of Khora than getting this single drop alone. I'd say she's the 2nd frame(after Mesa) that should be plat-ed instead,
She should be plat-ed? Not Xaku, Sevagoth, Protea, Hyxdrin, Harrow, A S H E? And Mesa? Why not Nyx then?
Nyx is alot easier than Mesa...
Of those fromes, the only grueling one is Sevagoth and Ash, if you don't have a leveled railjack that is.
All the others you listed are a cakewalk to get, just because there are other relevant grinds tied to them (hyldrin=vox solaris standing ,protea=sisters/tenet farming, xaku comes naturally with your daily deimos grind and leftovers from vox solaris).
23% rng after a <<20>>min mission can be very harsh and unforgiving, especially if you don't get anything out of it except the BP.
I need the main bp for octavia prime, pain
I need the main bp for octavia prime, pain
Axi o5
Now it's meso o5 :)
I am sorry sir but by the time you commented this i already got octavia
22.56% chance for neuroptic, really??? I think its 2.256%
Nah bro i think its lower than that i hade an easier time farming revenant prime than octavia ( i still don't have it : / )
Hey there! This lists Octavia's passive as 'Replenish 1 energy over 30s' when her passive in game is listed as 'Replenish 30 energy over 30s' :)
Thanks for all the work you do to maintain these!! <3
Fixed, thanks.
1,000. freaking. oxiom
wait until you see vauban prime :D
7k oxium
Oxium is easy to farm
It's easy, just tedious and annoying. which; is all of warframe really
Not back to the Oxium Grinding...
A lot of people are complaining about how hard it is to get parts of Warframe or other things such as nautilus, Sevagoth, Nidus, Ash, etc. I'm not justifying the RNG implemented by DE but what you people are not doing correctly is subjecting yourself to the torturous hours of farming at the same level over and over again. Just set a goal and a quota to be met every day. For example, every day, you have to do 1 void storm, 1 20 minutes survival run on Deimos, Obviously, one day you will get the part. Not only you can keep your mental health, but it also prevents you from being burnt out and immediately quitting the game, simply because you subject yourself to such torture. I've done this method for Nautilus, Ash, and Ambassador. just one run for all three, every day. Less than a month, I got them in the same week. Sanity is the most precious resource in this game tbh. It's your choice people. Do it a shit ton of times in a day and give up out of anger or frustration, or do 1 run every day and be patient and will inevitably get it anyway.
👍
"sanity is the best resource in the game" i completely agree
Inevitability is not a replacement for frustration for me unfortunately. Giving yourself a series of tasks, in a game that already proves required daily series of tasks, just bloats your gameplay (or life) from things you would rather do or want to do. Lo and behold Octavia has some interesting and unique gameplay elements worth grinding for, so putting that on the backburner doesn't really fly in a game where efficient farming(use of your time) is a key component. However, that goes the same for C rotation survival in this case. I understand the suggestion is a compromise, but the game itself doesn't reward that, only multi tasking. I would suggest to farm MR on frames you either need to subsume (or MR in general), which in turn frees up a slot for Octavia if you have any to spare. That would hit two birds with one stone, and you wouldn't be adding another daily piece of monotony to disappoint yourself with aggravation until "...one day you will get the part." Aside from this there are missions in the game that provoke repetitive monotony such as endless bounties, so it's a grain of salt in the end how you diversify what the game hasn't gated from you forcibly.
DE replaced the RNG component ages ago, they reduced the drop change to basically nothing. The new method that DE want you to use is to:
Open Navigation, zoom into a planet
Now forget that and zoom all the way and close navigation
Open the market
Select the frame and click purchase
This is the only official method DE wants you to use to get frames now
And much more, and some of those warframes have less than 3000 plastids,i dont farm plastids a lot (i should) so thats why im complaining but octavia prime has no plastids
