The Jade Light was used by the Orokin as a means of "honorably" executing defectors and those who opposed the law. It functioned as a disintegration ray that turned the accused into nothing but "mist and gore". It was channeled through the Jade Warframe, who was kept in stasis within the execution chamber.
The Myrmidon carried a portable version of the Jade Light.
Known Victims[]
- Archimedean Margulis - Sentenced by Ballas for protecting the Tenno
- Archimedean Yonta - Committed suicide to escape the horrors of the Zariman Ten Zero, an "undeserved" honor. Survived due to Conceptual Embodiment.
- Archimedean Javi - Was sentenced due to his forbidden research into alchemy and transmutation. Sentence was overturned into cellular reversal, as his executors believed he would somehow survive the Jade Light.
Ivara's two Warframe allies - Killed by the Myrmidon, a Warframe hunter whose victims were deemed unworthy of being remembered and thus erased from history.

This may be related to the new warframe jade
If it isnt then DE fucked up big time.
Steve mentioned how if lore accurate, Jade...if she can control the jade light, would be all destroying, but they are making her a support frame....so trinity 2.0....great
This aged like Milk lol
Aged like Greedy Milk
Jade light mentioned at pax east 🤔🤔🤔
Yup, the new Warframe after Dante will most likely be Jade as a part of the quest Jade Shadow. I'm so pumped for this
I like my own theory a lot, where the Jade Light makes me think of how the void looks when you look outside of an orokin ship in void missions, a green-blue energy that has a severe effect on living beings that come in contact with it.
Worth mentioning that Archimedean Yonta killed herself using Jade Light
Imagine if we finaly see it and it is an actual BFG
So the Myrmidon just had the BFG 9000 and blasted warframes to bits.
I like this headcannon. A lot.
The zariman ghosts probably aren't the originals, rather copies or other possibilities
Considering what we know of Orokin, this kind of execution seems... lenient, for the lack of better word.
Archimedean yonta seems to say that she commits suicide from the jade light when hitting rank 4 with the holdstead
Yea but we have to remember eternalism is now canon menaing she knows the fate of the yonta who perished but it was not her own
I assume that The Jade Light was a some sort of guillotine, but instead of falling blade that decapitated the head of the executee, this one supposedly should have burn it down with the radiation. And that is why I do think so:
- Radiation is well know by killing every living and even destroying robotic electronics. It's just burns circuits or broke DNA of the living creatures, preventing it to regenerate and keep up the organs' living state.
- Radiation is also known by its similar properties with the light. The light can burn things as well, but the radiation could burn them from the Inside. Radiation is obviously has a lot more energy and it transmists it through the objects and the materials. Probably when in high amounts and/or concentrations it may produce even the light glowing with some severe colour tint.
- Hypothetically, the container of the energy, there could be any material or object made of that. Or probably just a conduit part that is being filled in with the nuclear energy when necessary and then been drained it with the radiation out at will.
Jade Light that can disintegrate or reduced into "mist and gore" the only damage type that I can think of is corrosive damage because when using corrosive damage to kill or overkill enemies and if that status procs, the (whatever enemies you are dealing with using weapon modded for corrosive damage or pure corrosive damage from that weapon) they will start to melt until their bodies are turned into orange goo or something and that is my theory.
And corrosive is green! Which is close to jade! You're on to something bro
I think the jade light was most likely a radiation style weapon because of the Flash of light and as you know light is radiation
Let me know if I missed anything, I didn't see a page for the Jade Light so I did some research of my own! :)
Much appreciated!
