Misery is one of Shadow Stalker's acolytes. He takes the form of 
Nekros with an Immortal Skin, wearing Stalker's helmet and 
Oberon's loincloth, as well as modified Warframe Cosmetics including a Kyroptera Syandana and Daedalus Chest Plate codpiece.
Misery first appeared in Operation: Shadow Debt and, as of Update 29.5 (2020-11-19), now spawns in The Steel Path missions.
Tactics[]
In battle, Misery wields an 
Ether Reaper.
Steel Path[]
In Steel Path, Misery has an equal chance to spawn every 4 to 7 minutes as the other Acolytes. He will use his Reaper up close, and Soul Punch to knock down Tenno at range to close the distance. Misery will consistently summon two Void Shades of Infested Crawlers, replacing them shortly after they are slain.
If Angst and Violence have been slain before his appearance, he will resummon them as shadows.
Operation: Shadow Debt[]
Misery is only fought during every 5th wave of the final Defense and Defense Endurance mission of the Operation. Misery will enter the battle alongside a retinue of enemies known as Void Shades. After losing 33% of his health Misery will get knocked over, after which he will begin summoning more Void Shades as reinforcements. Upon losing 66% of his health Misery will summon yet more reinforcements, this final group made up of Shadows of Angst and Violence.

Notes[]
- During Operation Shadow Debt, all Tenno are awarded a random mod from Operation: Shadow Debt after completing a wave in which Misery is fought. Misery himself will drop a mod upon death as well, allowing Tenno to collect two mods; Misery's drop table is identical to the mission's reward table. Players are given 5 seconds to collect the dropped mod before the mission ends.

Shadows of the Dead. - The shadow versions of Angst and Violence he summons will have regenerating shields with short delays and complete immunity to all status effects, making them considerably harder to deal with. They will also attack anything closest to them rather than only targeting the player specifically, and are not marked on the map.

- THE STEEL PATH: ACOLYTES JOIN THE BATTLE & MORE!
- As you play in any Steel Path mission, Acolytes will spawn and attack - defeating the Acolyte grants a guaranteed drop of 2 Steel Essence. Beware! If you get downed by an Acolyte, they'll escape and you won’t receive any Steel Essence!
- The Steel Path Acolytes now have received the same Status Effect eligibility treatment that Liches received in Update 27.3 earlier this year. This means we have slightly increased their health (scaled by squad size) as the Status Effect eligibility makes them easier to kill.
- Reduced the Melee attack damage on Misery to avoid the more reported 1HKOs.
- In essence (ha), there is virtually no RNG with Steel Essence anymore. Acolytes will always appear in regular missions (Endlessly in Endless missions.). The time at which they choose to appear may be a bit random, but if you kill mobs, they will come!
- Please note, Acolytes won't spawn in Archwing missions on the Steel Path.

Wdym he has a Daedalus chest piece? I looked in the Codex and I don't see a chest Plate.
Acolytes wear armor pieces on weird places of their body, Hes wearing the Chest plate on his crotch.

Can these guys be scanned into the Simulacrum? And if not, are the Silver Grove specters somewhat similar in quality/difficulty to them?

Yeah, this guy sucks. Lost a defense run that was going great because of his shadow acolytes focusing the objective, shredding it before we had a chance to kill them (especially due to their status immunity).
Ok what the fuck. how is he able to spawn shadow version of acolytes now. my 45 mins mirror defense run with perfect team comp just got ruin by 4 angst, 1 violence, and 1 mania. i cant use abilities cause violence used silence upon spawning, i got hit by lifted status effect because mania's melee, and last i got fucking rip to shreds by 2 angst because i m lifted. and because i died in the void, the 2 titania and saryn could not defend the objective, so we lose our run. wow this is infuriating.

I've literally never seen Misery spawn shadow versions of angst or violence in all my time playing steel path and he ends up doing this twice in the same mission. Bruh.

Spawning an enemy that keeps disabling your abilities but is also immune to status effects is not what i call fun. It was the same reason stalker was nerfed to be vulnerable to status effects.

Can confirm that Misery spawns with the Deimos Arcana U29.5 Steel Path changes.
So those missing the Codex scans can finally get him.
Steel Path Alert Survival, I stayed like 3mins over the 5min alert timer. So nothing special in that regard I think.

Years later, DE has yet to fix this guy when the acolytes come around. Such a shame his return is DElayed indefinitely.
